- Hey guys, been eyeballing for a mini since the start of this year, didn't find any for months and ended up buying the trencher jansen mb300, was not satisfied enough with that machine so i started eyeballing for minis again. Found this neglected old yanmar from Finland, didn't think twice i knew i needed to have one :) Will follow up with a maintenance shortly.
Thanks for watching and i hope you enjoyed.

I'm an 30 year operating engineer I can tell you Yanmars are solid especially the old ones.
Pretty much your you can watch Andrew’s videos and he’s worked on everything on the Yanmar he has! He’s a go getter and fixes anything that breaks on his machines, it’s very educational and you can learn a lot about your Yanmar from Andrew Videos! Looks great my friend!
Bought this because Andrew video's 😄
Catching up on older post, couldn't be happier
👍😅
Its an addictive hobby, the -2 is the second generation machine. Ive been buying and restoring mini diggers for the last 2 years as a hobby, plus i need them around the farm. Yanmars are one of the best machines going. They always cost alot more to do up than there really worth but its a hell of a ride doing them up. Have a look at my videos if you want.
Thanks for commenting, addictive hobby indeed :)
Glad to hear the digger's origin story. Good investment.
No problem
Very nice excavator! I think it needs some care and then it will serve you well. I have been following your videos for a while now, and I find them very useful! Thank you for posting them!
I'm doing similar projects (renovating a small farm and stuff), and we are probably of similar age too (and I'm also a big fan of Andrew's channel). ;-)
I also bought an excavator last year (an older german model 4 ton, 50hp, wheeled) , and it is extremely useful around the farm, and not just for digging.
I think you shouln't be too worried about not being able to easly dig out those stumps. I did a lot of those this summer and some of them can be very tough, especially if more of them are close togheter, you might need to dig a bit more around them. My machine is slightly bigger and has extendeble hydraulic legs (wich give firmer standing than a blade and tracks - but much slower to deploy), and yet sometimes even small stumps can be embedded so hard in the ground, that the other side of the machine lifts up, but the little stump doesn't move the slightest. So it's not nescessairly a power issue.
I wish you the best of luck from Hungary!
Thanks for the comment. Sadly i don't have alot of content to put out there, but whenever i do something that might be interesting to my subscribers ill post it, Thanks for subscribing to me and have a good one!
You did good. Andrew Camarata has a Yanmar B37 also and he likes it very much. He also has a B50 Yanmar which is almost identical to the B37 but larger. Always a good idea to change the fluids and grease everything. Best not assume the former owner did that routinely.
yeah people who don't own the machines, rather use them, they don't care about the equipment. Sadly. Andrew is great
Awesome machine!!!
It’s the big brother of my Yanmar B22.
Mine is a B22 or a B22-1? I think mine is a 1991 The B22 model started in 1989? The -1 started around 1991 or 92? So the -2 is probably slightly newer maybe a 1993 or 94
There’s also -A,-B they are mid 90s machines.
Mine has been repainted over the years because I can see some over spray on parts of it. I plan to paint it this coming spring.
Like you mentioned the sprockets are really affordable.
How does the antifreeze look? Is it clean, is there any white oil sludge on the radiator cap?
I really look forward to seeing more videos on your new machine 👍
I’m planning on making a maintenance video for my machine in the next few months covering filter numbers, oils and things like that, I figured it will help the few people out there with the same machine.
Take care and thanks for posting!
Hey, thanks for the comment. the coolant/antifreeze looks clean. Im not sure what kind of coolant goes into the radiator, on the radiator someone has marked -23C. It has no color though, a clear liquid, i was thinking maybe i should change it out. Cant find any info online which one i should use, only have 2 options i think blue(antifreeze) and red/green (engine coolant). Maybe you can elaborate
? Thanks!
@@Ants_Pants Mine has green coolant in it, it looks old, not vibrate green, just watered down looking, I probably will just stick with green coolant again. I got a digital copy of the manual for my machine, I will check that out tonight and see if anything is in English and if there’s a recommendation on coolant 👍
Yanmars are awesome. Andrews last name pronounced Cam-ah-rot-ta
👍😜
Andrew Camarata is awesome too, I love his videos too! Did you check out that amazing castle? 👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
I check out all his videos. I love diesel creek aswell.
@@Ants_Pants yeah, Matt is working on his grader again, I’m watching your videos this weekend brother! Oh by the way I’m Kirk from Louisiana in the United States and a retired Welder/Pipefitter/Fabricator of 37 years! Anything about welding, I’m always here to help my friend! Thanks for your response my friend, your videos are awesome as well! 👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Andrew Caramada? Yes he's got an awesome channel. Just watched one of his videos before coming over to your awesome channel....lol
😌 one of my faborites. He has this go to kind of character dosent matter how it looks as long as it works and i love it 👍
@@Ants_Pants so do you my friend. If it's broken you're determined to fix it. You're not a throw away type of guy. I'm like that too.
@@richardtaylor6300 👍👍
Looks like it’s steamed power
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well done on buying camarata's favorite excavator...I am realy afraid that you might have bought a lemon,
Considering you pay 9k for it.
Grey engine oil might indicate a head gasket blown off...let us know what is realy wrong with the machine ...I am sure after this not so pleasant experience. You gona think 10 time b4 buying anything second hand equipment online....I hope it is an easy fix no mater what, yanmar are tough machines are they were build to stand the test if time.
I will subscribe to your channel to see the rest of your videos.
Good luck .
Lots wrong with the machine, needs all new rollers for tracks (also new tracks), new sprockets, there was no oil in the final drives, only black thick oily goo lol.. Changed the oil once (did not change the filter coz i wanted to change the oil atleast 2 times). Coolant level stays the same. so i think its not the head (also coolant is clear its not contaminated with oil). So far i regret nothing... lol. Thanks for the subscribe.
Nice to follow your channel :) I don´t know anything about Yanmar but i work for Caterpillar dealer here in norway :)
very cool m8
Watch, maybe you have a head gasket leaking antifreeze going into the crank case. Get an antifreeze tester, and keep an eye on you coolant and oil levels.
So far been running it for couple of hours, coolant lvl stays the same. Will see in future.
@@Ants_Pants hope it works well. I like Yanmars. Even though mine is newer
*- Andrew Camarata = {Cam a rata} or {Cam'a rata}*
*- I have never heard Andrew say his family's surname.*
*- He is a New Yorker, so who knows what kind of inflection he and his family put onto the pronunciation of his family surname...which is a kind of joke that people make who are from the early Colonies {now the states referred to as New England states}.*
*- The accents can be extreme throughout the various states, depending on if the speakers are from the original Colonial families or not.*
*- The early colonists came from burrows or townships from all round England AND all with Very distinct accents left over from the mixing of Viking conquests and the earlier inhabitants.*
*- Depending on which ship they came over on, and where they landed, the townships that were 20 miles apart could wind up in colonies that were Many hundreds if miles apart.*
*- Accents in Nova Scotia CANADA can be identical to southern states because the ships they came from stopped and people who were sea sick got off and started small fishing villages all around the coasts of N. S., particularly on the west shore, the Atlantic Ocean shoreline.*
Thanks for the useful info Robert
Nice with a steel tracked mini ex! I had a hard time with Andrews last name too but if you just say Camara (like 📷) and then ad TA at the end you will nail it! Where are you located, im in Sweden.
Just read, the about, Estonia, so we are neighbors!
At start i wanted rubber tracks. But atm im actually starting to love the steel tracks.
@@Ants_Pants I hear they are better but expensive to replace.
😊
Thank you for your video, it's awesome and tell andrew camarata is funny 😉😉😉😉
