I know its cheesy but i cant imagine how amazing it must be for your children to have s father with all the machines that also seems to engage them with using ane fixing them.
Not cheesy at all. My dad had all this stuff except if i touched anything of his or asked him questions he would tell me off or call me stupid for not knowing. Marty is a great dad
I agree. I missed out on something: I grew up in an environment in which status symbols played a big role - fixing up and using used stuff was seen as a sign of underachievement, let’s say. How wrong, and what a shame. These days, I look for used items before I buy anything new (with exceptions, obviously): furniture, tools, gardening equipment, lamps, things like that. Nothing like finding a bench vice for 30 Euros that runs buttery smooth and would cost 800 to replace with a new one of the same model. I wish someone would have instilled that culture into me a little bit earlier.
As a sound engineer and as a kiwi in Oz I endorse this comment and say those drone shots with the birdsong replacing the drone audio are just the best and are one of the many awesome things in Marty's videos. Just goes to prove that one doesn't need a $5000 microphone made in Berlin to capture a sound that can move someone.
This is the best, wish the video was longer. That mini excavator is also the perfect width for a walking trail, not disturbing the landscape too much. Be nice if the track was a loop for walks
We have 6km of trails on our 100 acre wooded property. We walk all of it daily with our dogs. Visitors are amazed. A great benefit to the kids and grandkids. I am in Quebec so it's snowshoes in winter. I find the different vegetation and wildlife of yours fascinating. I hope to visit someday.
Thank you Marty! Those birds were cool just walking behind you and picking up the insects and stuff. You are so lucky to be there right in the middle of it all. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Hey Marty, I finally got a minute to actually sit down and watch this video. I really really enjoyed it! It was practical, descriptive, informative and funny! I see now why you get an income from this, kool as x say hi to Janine for me, tell her her cuttings are excellent and hope you guys and kids all good 👍
Great drone footage Marty , always love that . That small machine is the ticket for updating your trails , the birds liked it too , thanks for the video , cheers .
Nice scenery, looks like a jungle on side of a mountain. That trail dont look like a good trail for atv-ing at night, while drunk. And I think this is the first time I seen an atv with mud-flaps......
Excellent video, Marty! Loved all the scenery! I have never ventured out of the United States and I probably won't ever get to, yet I thank you for sharing another beautiful part of God's green Earth. Peace be with you and yours. Amen
Good work marty, i can only dream to have such a lovely area of my own and i'd do the same thing, being in my 60's now is getting a bit late for me now....however i really enjoyed watching you doing your own repairs on old machinery👍
Love the video Marty. Glad to see the young supervisor is making sure you are on the right track. Good to see the weka loving the new ground. :-) Keep safe.
Wekas taste great just boil them for about 6 hours make sure you put a handful of small stones in the pot, once cooked, pour out the weka and eat the small stones.
Its amazing what you can do with a small digger. I used a 6 tonner for years doing farm tracks . Farmer love it , I was way cheaper then a 12 tonner and made way less mess
You did a really nice job on the trail Marty!! What beautiful country!!! I always enjoy your videos of whatever you're doing and there's always a big bonus.... the scenery!!!
Great to catch another slice of your activities ... keep 'em coming ... even if you're just standing around picking your nose it'll be a great vid. Cheers.
👍👌👏 I was very happy to see that you took your cute little dog 💚 onboard the 4wheeler after he ran behind for some time. It was also quite nice from you to feed the birds. Of course in a pretty unconventional kind of way but still nice. 😁 ;-) Congratulations for owning such a fantastic property. Almost a piece of paradise. Of course you worked and and still work for it. Everything you own is very well deserved. Thanks a lot for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards, luck and especially health to all involved life forms (humans, animals and plants).
Marty T, you have a great property and it's good for you that you have the skills to maintain and repair these pieces of equipment which are probably very important to have when it comes to maintaining such a beautiful place
Hi Marty and family. I was wondering why go to the trouble of extending the ATV path but then I saw your enthusiastic little supervisor. Guess access across the property is valuable at any rate but I suspect it's also being done for the children. Two kms! Makes my 'back yard' - all 50 metres of it - seem rather small! Wish you and yours well.
I know its cheesy but i cant imagine how amazing it must be for your children to have s father with all the machines that also seems to engage them with using ane fixing them.
Totally agree. The first thing I thought was, we are watching these little fellas grow up. 👍
Not cheesy at all. My dad had all this stuff except if i touched anything of his or asked him questions he would tell me off or call me stupid for not knowing. Marty is a great dad
@@Jacobtheunwise relatable. here's to Marty 🍻

That’s not cheesy to me that’s having life by the horns & being blessed beyond measure.
Marty, as a kiwi who misses the bush.. the birdsong you have on this track is so heartwarming.. thanks mate
I would love an hour long video with just birdsong on it

Looks like those Weka's had a feast in the disturbed earth :) Great video Marty, always enjoy your varied content.
Symbiotic relationship Marty gets a path and they get a feed!
They Wekas! My tiny brain knew they weren't kiwi's and my google of "Birds of New Zealand" suggested Wekas. I'm far too pleased to be proved right.
@@Aidan.17 Definitely a win-win situation
I think the Weka did a harder day's work than Marty!
Hi Marty. Love the bird life. How about setting up a camera to view the wild life over a few weeks, it would be amazing
How bout no, Scott
Marty the place you live is just frickin amazing. 😊 Your children are so lucky to have a father like you ❤❤❤.
Had a go at driving a mini digger this week, Marty. Made me appreciate anyone who can operate them smoothly! It’s quite an art!!
This is the best, wish the video was longer. That mini excavator is also the perfect width for a walking trail, not disturbing the landscape too much. Be nice if the track was a loop for walks
Mate, I'd watch an hour plus of this.
Was just about to say the same.
I definitely agree as well!
Same here good stuff
@@justinsmith9847I was quite disappointed when I saw the video was only 7m24 😩

Magic forest. Especially the ferns...you almost expect someone dressed in medieval clothing with a sword to pop out. 🌿🌱🌲🌴😊
Thank you Marty! Those birds were cool just walking behind you and picking up the insects and stuff. You are so lucky to be there right in the middle of it all. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Those birds were awfully happy you came through, lol!!!
Great Video Marty T, Great Little Digger, Fantastic Job! thanks for sharing
Anyone else see those cheeky Weka’s looking for food behind the excavator?😂
A little like Jurassic Park up there in your world, Marty. Thanks for sharing.
Great stuff Marty watched you from day 1 and you only do practical and economic things the worlds "greenies" could do with some practical pointers!!!
Birds are definitely appreciating the fresh victuals...
Wish I had that machine when making mountain bike trails in nh this summer! Nice job!
Super Video Marty !!, The ariel shots are really Cool ! Great Work !!
I used to do four wheeler trails like these with my grandson years back.
I really miss doing that kind of work.
Thanks for the memories.
Very inventive, and feeding the forest chickens as you go. What a beautiful estate you have.
That was fun. I’m sure the kids will enjoy coming along with Dad or Mom for a ride. Maybe even feed the birds some more worms. Haha

Good job Marty, kid was happy and the Kiwis had some dinner 😂
Property in the top of the south is crazy expensive these days, you must feel blessed to have bought when you did Marty to live in such paradise! 😁

You’re such an inspiration Marty. 👏👏👏
Like all the birds. Sound nothing like what im use too.. good work on the mountain side mate.
Love seeing the Weka hoovering up behind you
Great to see some bush! Too much of NZ was cleared for farming. Marlborough is a beautiful place!
Between the birds and the dog, hard to tell which animal(s) were having the most fun. That little machine can surely get the job done!
Glad you gave your dog a ride!

I wish we had more Weka up north. I saw one on highway 41 between Taumarunui and Taupo earlier in the year
Those Weka - Awesome!
Great work.
Thanks Marty as allways excellent .
Love the video Marty. Glad to see the young supervisor is making sure you are on the right track. Good to see the weka loving the new ground. :-) Keep safe.
those birds looks happy about the works
A mountainbike track around your property would be fun.
I imagine the drone could be handy when planning the route of any new track.
Wekas taste great just boil them for about 6 hours make sure you put a handful of small stones in the pot, once cooked, pour out the weka and eat the small stones.
Awesome trail with mind-blowing views.👍
Great job Marty, that’s improved things around the property. Thanks for the video.👍👍
The trail you made looks like a fantastic. Must be great riding or walking. Thanks for sharing. See you in your next project.
That was soooo entertaining! I love a good time lapse!
Great spot , i like the little cheeky birds , never seen one before 😊
They are bloody cheeky things wekas. Went on a picnic in the sounds once and they got into the closed chilly bin, bastard things.
What an absolutely stunning property.
Cool. Looks a bit narrow in places though Marty.
Excellent trail building skills you have there Marty. And of course, the more you ride on it, the better the trail will be.…

Always look Forward to your Videos Marty ,Drone shots are spectacular Thanks
Always love when you post something!
those birds are having the time of there lives
Hey man keep making these videos...gives my mind thoughts of how to fix the real machines ...good on you for your efforts.
Man I could travel to ur place just to ride the trails u have a great peice of land
Another great video bro and good to see you are feeding the local critters with fresh tucker as you carve your way through the bush. Safe travels. Ken
I had to guard my food during my solo at Anakiwa when I did outward bound - wekas are very nosey birds and opportunistic...
Tropical paradise living, I so envy you.
You did a really nice job on the trail Marty!! What beautiful country!!! I always enjoy your videos of whatever you're doing and there's always a big bonus.... the scenery!!!
one of the best back yards on the internet
Needs bushings fixed, but cool video!
What a great trail. Beautiful spot through those tree ferns.
Stunning property mate👍.
I think WOW is an understatement!
I would love to have a mini-ex. Tractor is good but is not as versatile. If only I could run in to the deals you get. 😊
A track like a rollercoaster, nice!
👍👍👍
Cutting some new tracks for the bike, Good Man !!! 😀👍
As always a great job done!
Awesome video! 👌 Love the trail! 😊
Really enjoy your videos. The country is amazing there😊
Great to catch another slice of your activities ... keep 'em coming ... even if you're just standing around picking your nose it'll be a great vid. Cheers.
Your kids are going to have the best mtb tracks ever.
I'd chew off my own right hand to have a mini excavator like that at the cottage. Almost.
