That's because many of Jim Carrey's roles are typecast ones. He's not hired to act like a character usually, he's hired because he acts like what they want the character to be anyway.

The full scene is were riddler and two face go to waynes masion. They prank alfred by saying " TRICK or treat", alfred opens the door and gets whacked on the head by the riddler and the riddler says Trick! Trust me ive re watched the full scene and mr jim Carrey doesnt say Quick!
