To those who say of artistes that he/she is 'just' a musical theatre performer, not a real singer... Julie Covington sings this a thousand times better. Go listen.
@@carolinemorgan1712no matter what Elaine is the original Eva Peron so in that way she will always be superior and then of course her voice is like an angel from heaven🥹
I so love this song - Don't cry for me Argentina.
She continues to be one of the best - class love the look, the passion her voice glows with excitement the moment she appears - lovely.!!!
Dire meravigliosa è riduttivo!! Ti "entra" nel cuore!!! Straordinariamente bravissima! Classe infinita e interpretazione magistrale!
Ms Paige has one of the PUREST voices I've heard in term of tone and quality in years
Wow, NEVER have I heard this song done so well. Brav-O!
my enjoyment is ruined by what Evita and her husband did to a great country
wow!!! conmovedora versión en la voz de esta mujer que canta como los dioses !! gracias .. como Agentina 🌹🇦🇷❤
Sarah Brightman , Adele, Amy Whinehouse, Elaine Paige. These Amazing Women make me proud to be English. ❤
Wow... Brilliant performance by all.....
Wow what a beautiful performance. !!
Love! Love! Love! Love! Love! Elaine Page was, is and forever will be the BEST Evita EVER. She delivers every words and messages perfectly. I'm in Love!
The best. The very best. What a magnificent performance
I saw Elaine Paige sing this in 1978. I admire that she is still singing it but man, the London show with her and David Essex was spectacular.
I miss David Essex. A beautiful man with a beautiful voice.
What a performer. Elaine Paige is one of the very best ever. That gives me goosebumps.
Here from Argentina! I love Evita but I have never seen the musical 😔 I hope it will be netx
Just go on You tube look for the Video Evita.
Just Beautiful. Brought me to tears just like when I went to Evita when the play came to town years ago. So Beautiful.
You can hear the story told movingly through her singing. Strong voice with plenty of emotions!
That beautiful outfit and amazing entrance! Her voice! Perfection all the way!
A brilliant combination of elegance and a stunning angelic voice ❤️
My mom always said that this song must have been written for Elaine Paige. It was the most beautiful and haunting song she ever heard.
This is my all time favorite Andrew Lloyd Webber song. The song is so haunting and the introduction of he soaring violins and then French horns is beautiful.
Worked with this woman about fifty years ago
She was splendid then and even more splendid now!
A goddess.
Certain notes make me burst into tears, they touch something so deep, inside. 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷 Brava, darling. 💐
Absolutely 👍💯 beautiful voice and the best I've heard from Evita
EXCELLENT SONG, THE MOST BEAUTIFULL THANK YOU
She looks absolutely stunning in this outfit . Beautiful voice too.
What a gift to be able to sing like that!
The diva has arrived. I so love her and she is amazing as Evita.
No doubt to me, in all aspects, wonderful, nay, nay, borderline supreme. All thanks to the contributor and RUclips.
I love this, the
Mesmerizing story
Takes me back.
Saw on stage
3 times. So lovely 😍 💖.
Thank you for sharing ❤ 😊
I was in middle school when my dad took me to Evita at the Kennedy Center.....fell in love with the Broadway after that.
She does a wonderful interpretation of this iconic song.
It's no longer an interpretation. It is the song itself in its full reality. Weber's score is a faded picture in the drawer, yellow and curled at the edges, without the color and truth of its yet to come original, it's reality. But don't cry for Weber; clap for Paige.
@@tedbailey3673 many many times. I’ve never understood the vitriol from Patti LuPone fans. I’m sorry but Patti, amazingly strong a voice she has, she sounds like she’s downed a bottle of sherry before singing. The words are slurred and rushed. Just my opinion 😂
I like how she took her time to walk that long walk to the center of the stage, it's breathtaking!
Certainly one of the most beautiful versions of this área I ever heard ❤
She's awesome. World's gem. I love Elaine so much!
Superbe interprétation de Elaine. Paige. Bravo grande. Classe. Meilleur interprétassions mondiale. Un grand moment ❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍❤️😍
Belíssima Elaine Paige...Grande homenagem á Eterna Evita Peron! Aplausos...
Her gown is so majestic and the necklace of sparkling proportions - not forgetting her magnificent voice and the unique live performance with the Orchestra - a consummate professional.
after hearing her sang "Memory", I rewatch 1998 Cats right away... I hope we'll get Cats in one of these show... I never get tired of Cats =D
Have you heard “Chess”? That is my favorite-
Saw her in Cats (New York) not a dry eye in the house......amazing!
Elaine Paige. Se não a melhor, uma das melhores interpretações dessa musica que atravessa gerações e emociona como se à ouviremos pela primeira vez. Perfeito. Ave Elaine Paige.
Excelente versión, emociona escucharla. Saludos desde Argentina !!!!!!
