I followed your instructions _exactly_ and every time I did it, no matter how well, they always *knew* I was forcing a card on them. I don't mean to criticise, but I suspect the trick would work a lot better if you _don't_ write *force card* on the card. Just sayin'...
The third is my favorite because you literally stop on the card when someone says stop. No skipping forward or dropping extra cards that someone could catch you on.
Please do more card force tutorials and magic tricks :D Yesterday I told my friend that I'll start learning some card magic but I have to learn a few card forces before that. Now you uploaded a video about card forces. What are the odds for that to happen? :D
Ok... I drew a random card, and it happened to be right when he said “Have a plane spell out the 7 of hearts in the sky.” I pulled a 7 of Hearts. He forced a card through the screen!!!
Chris, I definitely love that 3rd force as I'm just learning how to do these forces. But, I will practice the others as well. Thanks for such a Great lesson.
I know this video was made 3 years ago but I just wanted to say that this video really helped me take my magic to the next level. the single greatest easy force in my opinion is a variation of the last force in this video where instead of taking the force card from the top, you peel it off the bottom while under the cover of the fan. this one also works great because you can very easily peek the bottom card between tricks.
Thanks Chris! I love the 3rd one. I do the classic force mostly, but sometimes it gets hard to do on certain people. I'm not a fan of riffle forces, but it's cool how well they work!
That subtle part with spreading the cards with the finger where they say stop is insane! It completely sells it. So good! Turn over pass after a selection, swingcut ”say stop”, riffle and then that move. Priceless faces! Thank you Chris!
I use the second and third ones and are really effective. I actually prefer the classic force, which is almost undetectable but sometimes it fails, and when it does I do another trick with the new selected card and then use one of these to try the force again, it's flawless if you practice
hey Chris cool Video can you pls explain this one psychlogical Card force which you used in the Video with that nice App or pls Tell me where i can learn this. it's so incredible
The third one is probably the easiest so I will start practicing that one Btw they all look amazing so thanks a lot man Can't wait for the Street Magic video
Jay Sankey does that last force. He starts counting them off like you do, then he pretends to get frustrated and says, you know what, just pick a card. :D
thanks for the tutorial chris those forces are simple yet powerful imo. Of course it will take time to play them off like you but still I can have some new basics now
Like what? I don't see any problem with that as an out for the classic force. Depending on the effect, if you miss with the classic force, you can control and peek the card or just control it and do a different effect and use a different force to lead into the originally planned effect.
Is it just coincidence that the force card is the 3 of clubs ? xD By the way,I liked the subtlety of the second force. I alredy knew what was going to happen but at 0:15 it fooled me, it just looked so real that you were cutting the deck right at where your finger was. Really good, I´ll be using it!
Hi Chris! I use a lot two forces. The spread force and the classic force. The spread force doesn't fail! But the classic force is really strong (even though it might fail, sometimes it's risky). Which one do you prefer? And also nice vid man!!! I love all those videos you upload on RUclips!!!!!
Rido Freerun Usaually I would have the force card on top, I would then hold the deck in preparation for an overhand shuffle and slide of about 3/4 the deck into my left hand. I shuffle off the rest of the cards keeping an in-jogged card where the force card lies. I then push up on this card with my right thumb and maintain a break above the force card. I would then spread the top ten or so cards into my right hand in one go while I say ‘take on out’. I then spread a few more cards and try to have them select the force card (pretty easy). They immediately take it out and look at it. It’s important for the decision to seem unimportant so that they don’t go rummaging for a random card in the pack. If it’s an immediate revelation, I would normally just use that riffle force where they are asked to think of one of the cards they see while I riffle through the deck in front of them. The latter is a true miracle.
bro, your videos are so good. informative, very clear about the process and just love your style...your first video i watched was the snap change a few days ago, been practicing and am close to having it down fairly well. you just got a sub. big ups!
Riffle force is my favorite. Then I use the slip cut and criss cross force a lot as well. The criss cross is awesome. I think I learned that from one of your videos.
your such a legend, ive struggled with forcing cards ever since i started four years ago, i stopped but not im back :) thankyou chris ramsay for all your tutorials! as you say using other peoples tricks is like using tracing paper but these simple beauties have helped make my style actually worth while and not just card juggling haha!!!
Thanks for the vid. The second force is so genious omg :D love it. A tip for the third force. For me its a looooot easier if the force card is on the bottom and when you spred the cards you just shove it over the fan and force it. Pretty the same youre doin but without the casualties bringing the top to the bottom while doing the fan.
I know it's a year later, but I saw this comment and am wondering if you could explain "when you spread the cards you just shove it over the fan and force it". I'm having a hard time envisioning this and would love to know since this seems sneaky. Thanks.
I have been using the last one for the most part. But my all time favorite is the one where you riffle through the cards with the faces facing the spectator and then simply tell them to choose a card they see. The one used in the beginning of the movie "Now you see me"
Nader Zargo they won't touch the first card because you're already going by the time they realize what's happening Alternatively if they're heckling hard and still go for the top you can really blow their mind by doing a different trick since you've already got control of the top card.
Hey awesome work. Been cutting cards for about 3 months and I just learned something new!!!! I like it when the force card is on top, you kiddy cut and grab a break above the force. Then dribble. I have the spectator or would like the spectator to take the force too. Have them put it back- grab a break and pass the card to the top. Cheers mate! Great vids great attitude... Great teaching style 😎
thanks chris! these are awesome. I keep messing up the classic force and needing to move to a different trick. I really love the apparent fairness of the classic force though. any tips on smoothly. having them grab the right card there?
jagrma 1 I am not really good at the classic force, but this force is easy to practice. Just force a card every time you let them pick a card. even when it is not important to the trick.
I was looking through your channel just last night looking for some force tutorials and bam you hit me with these 3 that are so casual and fair looking. Spending the rest of the day perfecting them.
Hi Ramsay could you make an Ask Ramsay and explain what goes into making a good deck of cards ( like yours). Would it also be possible if I could challenge you ( on challenge Ramsay ) to do coinistry ( cardistry with coins ) BTW I love your video and I also have your Carpe Noctem deck !!!
It must be my delivery, because every time I try to last force people throw their hands in to grab a card. I’ve tried it 100 different ways and for some reason, people ALWAYS want to pick the card out of my hands. Am I the only one? I guess I just need more practice with my patter
Practiced these with my wife. And she’s THAT person that waits to say stop until the very last card, or says she wants the top card... I know there’s not much you can do about still forcing the card, but any spiel you know of to get out of this?
How do you force a card for people who think to themselves "I want to stop near the top/middle/bottom" I do these forces really well but if they notice the card is say in the middle of the deck when they deliberately wanted to pick one near the top they speak up and it's annoying
I like the 3rd method the most, as it is the easiest to perform. I a beginner and I can't even perform a "Riffle" shuffle, but I can do your 3rd force card method easily. Thanks so much!
I'm not gonna lie. I'm getting sick of watching Chris Ramsay. Why? Is it because his show is bad? Because he sucks? It's because he is the only one who DOESN'T suck. His show is the only show about current events, updates (old and new), that's NOT bad. I've looked. He appears to be the only one worth watching. Huge fan of you Chris, and your work, and work ethic.
I prefer the JC Wagner Slip Cut Riffle Force, which I find so much easier and just as deceptive. You can find it in Doc Eason's Bar Magic tapes (no. 1), The Commercial Magic of JC Wagner, and many other places with a little bit of searching. Sorry I don't have any public domain resources off the top of my head!
Very good informative videos. I enjoy doing card magic. I do have some issues with arthritis in my hands so I cannot always do complicated sleights. I can do a double lift and some false shuffles.
Chris i love you're natural style that is only you. im much older and been performing off and on since 1981. I must say it seems your a complete natural. I am impressed by you're style i have learned so much. THANK YOU
I always hated the riffle force, because most of the time I've seen it they just close the riffle and open at the break, seemed too obvious to me that they were ignoring the stop. The convincer you add with clearly opening THEIR break before tilting the deck and picking it up at YOUR break makes it a thousand times better. Not sure if you came up with that convincer or where you learned it but I wish everyone who used the riffle force did it that way.
if i release a really gr8 effect on sellfy.. will anybody buy it... the effect is basicly.. you take a deck out.. the spectator says a number(1 - 10)... you shuffle the deck( any shuffle, any no. of times).. the spectator tries to find all the 4 cards with their no... but the four cards with their no. are already in your pocket or their pocket or bag..
How to get numbers as a nerd 1-learn how to force a card 2-tell people you know magic 3-when a girl ask you do the magic trick give them the card 4-tell then you’ll text them the card 5-text then the forced card I just scored you a get out a virgin free card
About the question Chris of the force that we would use.... Actually I have learned the forces quite a few weeks ago... I tend to use all the 3 forces.. Doing a certain force repeatedly really is boring.. So the conclusion is... I use all the 3 forces..
Hey Chris!I know you cant "reveal" which tricks you do in general when you are working but mybe you can answer this. I was wondering how many tricks do you perform and how much time do they take.Like when you are in a show or event Thanks in advance!

Aku vs. Jack sounds kinda like my knife threat force, works every time.
Thanks for watching! Who's stoked for the Street Magic Video?!
Chris Ramsay One question so Sorry for asking that but I am sooooooooo nervous and pls tell us who are the Winners
Chris Ramsay as always...i am!!!
Chris Ramsay by the way this Video is Dope
Ryan Viljoen realy? I mean this is a bit suspicious right
I am definitely stoked

Did you forget to use Squarespace?
Umm I got my balls tangled in the fan and I’m dying it’s very very fast help m

I'm not into magic at all, but for some reason I watch pretty much all your videos lol. Keep it up man!
for the dribble force, what if the spectator says stop behind your break?
Have it high, drop them all and say it's been too late and he gotta do it again quicker
smack him in the face and say 'better luck next time'. dont do this to women, they are butthurt
I definitely think the dribble is the most risky of the 3. The fan is probably the easiest with the riffle landing in the middle.

I use all 3 of these forces already but I like the subtlety with the finger and the tilt for the ripple force so I'm going to practice with that.
hey Chris cool Video can you pls explain this one psychlogical Card force which you used in the Video with that nice App or pls Tell me where i can learn this. it's so incredible

Jay Sankey does that last force. He starts counting them off like you do, then he pretends to get frustrated and says, you know what, just pick a card. :D
That moment......
When you want to full screen,
You end up skipping everything and going to the end of the video.
thanks for the tutorial chris those forces are simple yet powerful imo. Of course it will take time to play them off like you but still I can have some new basics now
Pro tip: With a slight modification the last force can be used in conjuction with the classic force as an out.
Creative mind you got there, but there're some problems with your idea
Like what? I don't see any problem with that as an out for the classic force. Depending on the effect, if you miss with the classic force, you can control and peek the card or just control it and do a different effect and use a different force to lead into the originally planned effect.

I usually say "Say stop whenever you want" then I'm like "you know what, just point to card that'd be easier" for the 3rd force, works everytime😉
Hi Chris! I use a lot two forces. The spread force and the classic force. The spread force doesn't fail! But the classic force is really strong (even though it might fail, sometimes it's risky). Which one do you prefer? And also nice vid man!!! I love all those videos you upload on RUclips!!!!!

On dribbled force, some people will wait till the end of the deck on purpose. So you have to prepare for it as well.
I love the last one. I have always hated culling the bottom one over. Love your version of this force
You’re too good man !! I love your tricks ❤️🚀🙌🏻

Sorry I don't have any public domain resources off the top of my head!
