SirI am a b pharma student ....problem is that gpat /niper jee can get me into pharma mba in colleges like DIPSAR and NIPER and and the syllabus for gpat and niper jee is same what i studied in 4 years in B pharma..... But for core mba and other mba I'll have to give cat etc... The syllabus for these exams is completely different from what i studied in b pharma.... So I'll have to start from scratch 😢😢

Focus on
Quantitative analysis
Logical Reasoning
English and Vocabulary.
These above things will help you to appear a good paper for CET and CAT.

Hi,
You need to ask yourself 3 questions.
1. Why do you want to do MBA?
2. Why pharma MBA and not general MBA?
3. Where do I want to land up in the next 5 years with my MBA degree.
As I always say.. pharma mba and general mba curriculum is almost one and the same.. there is a slight difference in some subjects in your first year of degree..
Pharma MBA is more wanted by pharma companies because .. they want candidates specialised in pharma marketing.. as pharma industry is totally different than any other industry in the market.
General MBA will give you more opportunities.. as you will learn more about other industries and their way of working. (If you are a B pharm graduate) then you already have an upper hand as your base is pharma.. so you may get into pharma company easily.. but it will also open up newer opportunities for you in different fields.
Think about it.
Before getting into the course .. check the name of degree that you want to pursue from the college website and admin office.
Collect information in detail and only then take admission

Appear for CAT and get into top B Schools that provide MBA in Finance.

Hi Reyansh,
As a Bpharm graduate you can apply for any specialization in MBA.
The first year of your MBA is common with all subjects, you get to decide your specialization in your second year.
Once you finish you first year .you'll be clear as in which specialization to opt for your second year.
So do not worry..as a Bpharm graduate you might study something new in Finance or Human resources..and it won't create a chaos in your interviews..Be Confidential Be You!
Hello bhai i have small doubt ,i just completed my Bpharm and i took a drop to join niper next year ,,, i want to do MS pharmaceutics in niper in next year ,so i am staying at home tight now so i am planning to take online pharma MBA course from manipal whch cost abt 2.6lakh for two years its gng to be 2hr classes daily,, ,,wn i join next yr and by the time of placements i wil have mba degree and ms pharmaceutics ,,is it worth and does this carry weightage during placements in niper ,, should i do online mba frm manipal or shld i focus on only niper ,,, does having mba degree in niper get higher packages ,,pls clarify my doubt bhai

Amazed to see your aspirations.
I would suggest you must go with one at the moment.
Finish your MS in Pharmaceutics from NIPER, collect the degree and then aspire for another degree.. this will help you to understand the course better.

However kindly check their website if they offer MBA in Healthcare management or Pharma MBA.
As both are different and will have different value addition to your career.

It depends on your interest.
Do you want to work in the pharma domain only? Or you would also like to explore possibilities outside pharma.
The syllabus pattern and curriculum for both Pharma as well as pgdm mba is the same.
Pharma mba is a good option if you want to set your career in the pharma domain. Target colleges like NMIMS, SIES.
For Core Mba target colleges like IIM , JBIMS , SIMSREEE , KJSOMAIYA , SYMBOISIS PUNE...etc.

Competition gives you the actual confidence to aspire your ambition.
You must opt for General MBA, as you will meet people from diverse backgrounds and learning out of your comfort zone is what's the best learning according to me.
Moreover..The course syllabus pattern for Pharma and general Mba is similar, nothing is difficult If you make up your mind to aspire and excell.

All India top B schools accept CAT , CMAT scores. CET scores are accepted by Maharashtra colleges and NMAT is accepted by NMIMS.

Do you want to grow your career into R&D , Manufacturing or teaching.. then you may opt for Mpharm.
If your interest is into brand marketing and strategy or sales then you must opt for MBA.
There are many top colleges that offer Pharma MBA. Chcek every website of these institutions.
NIPER is a top notch institute.. that would give you a better exposure in your career. Do appear for NIPER exam.

Hi Tofik,
There is no such term called the best specialization in Mba.
It completely depends on your area of interest.
If you see yourself in the banking and finance industry you must select Finance as your stream.
If Marketing of brands excites you..then probably marketing is the suitable stream for you. So is with HR and IT.
In the first year of your MBA you will definitely figure out where does your interest lie.

Market changes everyday and it needs more AI based workers and students graduating from top notch institutions.
You may lookout for Part time MBA degree programs from colleges such as - WESCHOOL, SIMSREE, KJ SOMAIYA, JBIMS, SPJAIN, NMIMS .. a few top B schools.

Please check the scope in government jobs first.. as it’s your area of interest. But also keep a Plan B (for MBA) incase you do not get your required job.. you may switch to pharmaceutical mba and get placements into good companies.

It doesn't matter if you opt for Core mba or Pharma mba.
If you pursue your mba in Core mba, post your mba..you may get jobs in sales and marketing , consulting, market research etc.

This totally depends on the area of interest where you want your MBA to be specialised in.
You must target Top B - Schools such as IIM , JBIMS, SIMSREEE, KJSOMAIYA, SYMBOISIS, MIT GURGAON, ISB HYDRABAD, FMS DELHI ..to name them a few.
These colleges will get you good exposure of the market as well as place you in good firms post your MBA.

For Core MBA there are different exams for different institutes, the below list might help you:
1. CAT: All IIM and Top B schools accept common admission test.
2. CET: All B schools in Maharashtra accept CET Score
3. CMAT: A similar test like CET, which you must appear for(check for institutes that accept CMAT Score)
4. NMAT: all NMIMS institutes accept only NMAT Score.

To my knowledge.. IIHMR doesn’t offer pharma mba but mba ỉn healthcare management.
Both the courses are different with different curriculum and course structure.
Do visit the IIHMR website .. it has all details mentioned there.

As a Bpharm graduate you are already specialized into the healthcare sector.
If you want to grow in the healthcare industry in terms of Marketing..then you must select pharma Mba or Core Mba only.
The curriculum and syllabus for PHARMA , CORE or HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT is one and the same.
But if you look at the larger picture.. Pharma mba and core mba Degree will grant more value to your career and open up many opportunities ahead of you.

You need to figure out your area of interest first.
After Pharma MBA in elite colleges like NMIMS, SIES one gets placed in good pharma companies at various positions for PMT, Operations, Market research, Sales , Consulting..etc.

There are many Symbiosis institutes spread in India such as PUNE , BANGALORE, NAGPUR..etc.
The Symbiosis Pune is one of the elite premium college for MBA which is considered amoung the top notches of B-Schools.
As it is a Deemed University..it does not accept CAT score, you may have to appear for their own exam called SNAP.
SNAP Exam paper is comparatively easier than CAT yet competitive.
The overall ROI is good, as per last year the average salary package was around 19 LPA and some good companies approach Symbiosis Pune for pre and final placements.
If you are planning to pursue CORE MBA and not PHARMA MBA ,then Symbiosis Pune would be a better option.
