My Janome 6700P has a large flatbed, much wider than other machines because it doesn't have a removable free-arm. I can manage ruler work while it's on the Cutie frame. Sewing machine came with an extension table, but only to use when sewing machine is off Cutie.
Thank you for this demo, I so much needed this. I’m using a TL JUKI 2010 Q and I’ve heard I need to get a Sew Steady ruler base, is this correct? Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
Yes, the Sew Steady ruler base will work to do free motion quilting on your machine. You can find those on our website at www.QualitySewing.com you can also call a member of our online time with any questions or to find the right foot 1-800-687-5175
Hi. When you say "Accessory Tray," do you mean the Freearm Slide-on Table? I see you are using a Bernina 590 and I do not think they offer an accessory tray that attaches to the freearm. I have a 790 plus and wanted to know if the Cutie will allow for me to put the slide-on table to do ruler work. Thank you for the video and help 🙂
When I’m in the centre of an 80” quilt, how much space would I have to do ruler work with the quilt rolled up in the throat for a machine with an 11” throat?
That is a bit of a difficult question. There's no way to do exact math because you won't know the size of the quilt burrito. That diameter is going to depend on the materials used ( ie minky vs quilting cotton and loft of batting. 40" of quilt could have a diameter of 4-5" So you may only have 4 or 5 inches of quiltable space. Hope this helps!
I’m guessing…( I don’t own a cutie yet but had the same question) that a sew steady table wont fit because it probably won’t fit on the frame that holds the machine itself and depending on your table when you pull the machine around the quilt the table will probably hit the rolled up quilt in the front…frustrating when questions aren’t answered by the people who make the video…
Really like and appreciate your tutorials- Ottawa, Canada

i'd didn't know qsv had the cutie, do they carry it in olympia location?
Yes, you can purchase the Cutie at any of the 10 Quality Sewing store locations or online at www.QualitySewing.com
Did you need to add an extension for your foot control? If so what did you use?
Most of the cords on the foot control should be long enough. If not, try using a lower table so you can sit to quilt so you can reach the pedal.

Can you use the BSR?
Yes, using a machine with a stitch regulator works great.
Could the Cutie be used with a Aew Steady table?

I have a large table from Sew Steady that allows me to use the BSR on my B790+.
Could I use this table with the Cutie?
