- Happy Friday! Join us over a couple days (a month apart!) for some random Disney fun, in and around the Magic Kingdom!
My questions for you: do you take public transportation? Do you enjoy it or resent it? Do you find it to be a nice commute to start and end your work day? What kind of public transportation do you use? If you don’t use public transportation, do you have any rituals to start and end your work days?

Yello'! I'm Ashley and welcome to my lemonade stand. Don't worry, I won't be selling you any actual lemonade here. I'm just a 30-something wife and mom who is trying to make the best of the lemons we've been handed recently. Disney is the master at so many things, but one aspect not discussed as much is how they are masters of lighting. That has always been one of my favorite times at the parks...when the sun sets and the night ambiance comes on...they just light absolutely everything so perfectly!

Also I dont use public transport as I am too much of a control freak.😂 I also commute an hour and half one way to work so I like to be the only one responsible for my arrival and departure times. When at Disney we also drive most of the time, however we did enjoy the skyliner. The last two times we have been we stayed on the skyliner route.

I love how Lee is so inquisitive and wants to know what things mean. I also love how you answer him honestly and talk to him as if he is older lol if that makes sense. He is such a smart young man and you are teaching him well.
Starting my morning off with watching this video while making my breakfast, was the perfect happy start to my day! I do love Disney transportation! My kiddos love taking the monorail, but my favorite is taking the ferry boat from the ticket & transportation center and just the beautiful views as you get closer to the Magic Kingdom! We have no public transport here in our small town, but I lived in Chicago for 7 years & loved taking the El train! The buses always made me motion sick with all the stops though. So, I always tried to take the train instead! 😉😊 Thank goodness for Dramamine while at Disney! Ha!
We live in a rural area, so we don’t experience public transportation on the daily, only when visiting bigger cities! I work from home, so I wouldn’t say I have any rituals, just usual get the oldest off to school (we drive him. Again, rural with no buses!) and open up the laptop 🤣. Can’t believe your Disney time is coming to a close! Will definitely miss those snippets of Disney, but excited to see more of your life in NH!
Joe same here. Park at Sullivan Square, Orange line to the Old Boston Garden, switch to the Green Line for Fenway.
Public transportation is marvelous. Going to Europe and Asia made me realize how inadequate our American public transportation systems are. I’m especially thinking trains from one city to another. If we had more when it came to rail lines, airplanes would have to reduce rates and step up. Win-win!

My favorite Disney transportation? Oh my, how to choose! I actually have really enjoyed the Skyliner in all its new-found glory. I like the slight thrill, the relaxing breeze, and the opportunity to talk to other people! I don't take any public transportation living in a small town, but I love to fly! Not only am I fascinated by planes, but I am also drawn to the excitement it brings me. Each airport, takeoff, and destination is a new adventure.
I love how you instill such confidence in your kids to explore their world and constantly offer positive and sensitive feedback. Truly amazing and I love your videos!
I love public transportation. At Disney my favorite is the boats to and from Disney Springs/Port Orleans. Love the vegetation and cool breezes and some of the best skippers on these boats. Also great soundtracks.
I need more of Joe's rapping!! 🤣 I am a former Bostonian, I now live in Florida!! I would take the Orange line to Downtown and then take the Green line to get to Fenway and/or Newton! Or I would take the Orange line to the Red line to get to Cambridge!! Fun times on the T growing up in Boston!!
I don't take public transportation but when my girls were younger they loved seeing busses drive by. Part of the fun of our trips to WDW is using the busses, monorails, boats, and now Skyliner. It's great to have someone else take the wheel.
I don't really take public transportation these days but when I was in college I loved people watching on the Metro in DC. Not that we can do it a lot these days, but when we visit NYC we always take Metro-North and come into Grand Central Terminal.
We live in a small town in upstate NY so we basically walk, bike or drive. One of the things I love about WDW is not having to be responsible for transport, just sit back & relax!

I grew up in London, so have an affection for the London Underground (probably didn't at the time when i was crushed in the carriages lol) now live in the countryside with hardly any public transport, going on a bus or train is exciting for me now.
I love how much Lee loves the monorails! It warms my heart. I too used to love the monorails and they used to be my favourite mode of transportation. As I've gotten older, I've found myself enjoying the calmness of the boats... the ferryboats and the smaller resort boats.
No need for public transportation where I live.
Disney transportation is such a huge part of the experience. I love it all. I finally was able to ride the skyliner this summer and fell in love with it!
Used to take public transport all the time when we lived in the big city. Since we moved, it's just not something we do anymore as buses out where we are aren't frequent or reliable. So we have 2 cars instead.
And heck yeah!! We take the Red Line all the time coming from the Cape. We park in Braintree or Quincy and take the Red Line into the city.
I love your idea do to a photo scavenger hunt! I'm going to use this idea with my 5-year-old more often.

I live only 2 minutes away from my school, so no public transportation for me! My favourite mode of transportation at Disney is the monorail, but I also actually really love the buses! I think they’re definitely underrated!
You guys seem so relaxed and having fun!! I think you guys did a great thing going to Florida now!!! Haha maybe you should extend the trip??
Oh my gosh! Being from Boston too I know the T very well! I was a north station and green line rider! I would end up at park street and get so lost 🤣 I use to love the strange exciting yet calmness of the transportation. I would always listen to music or read a book and just enjoy some me time!
Green Liner here! D line from my college to the city for internships. Always a pain on game days!
