This isn't the first time I've seen this sort of thing happen, there are plenty of times I've read both comments and written review posts with broken sentences caused by bad English translation, it's not uncommon.
Yeah, it makes more sense that it's written by people who are not English speakers. I don't think that A.I. exists that is sophisticated enough to review games. Square probably hired some Chinese marketing company to shill for their game. Shilling is a huge industry now.

I have to say, making digital stores disappear just while you're selling an PS5AD is not the greatest idea. IMO, the only way to get to 180º this situation would be to either announce a LOT of PS3 games to be available on PSNow (which already has a big bunch of PS3 games) or finally announce that Mark Cerny has cracked the code to getting PS3 games in the PS5 and they're talking to publishers to port all the licenses forward - preferably both for the full 180º. I sort of understand that portable games would be more tricky to push forward, partly due to the gimmicky features like the touch screen and back touch panels on the Vita, e.g., but they have no input excuse in regards to the home console legacy games.
Thank you so much for giving Lost Odyssey some love today! It deserves a re-master at minimum imo. A sequel or prequel would be nice as well. 😁 Thanks for everything you do!!!
The Dreamcast is unique. Because of it's memorycard the VMU [Visual Memory Unit] which acted for not only storing your save data and provide your controller with a screen, but also allows you to download a single game to it's memory from some Dreamcast videogames. The VMU has to be my favorite memory card form, due to the unique move SEGA made with that. A good example of a Dreamcast minigame being downloaded to your VMU is Chao Adventure from Sonic Adventure 1, which acts abit like those pedometer sense game things like some of the oldschool V-pet stuff out there. And like those old style V-pet toys, you can connect it with another to breed your creatures, this case being VMUs and Chao. You can also obtain items within that small game. If you do the same with SA2, you get Chao Adventure 2. And unlike some game toys out there (looking at you Digimon Tamer D-arc and Rockman Progress PET.), the VMU retains it's data even if the batteries die. One example of using VMUs as a second screen is SEGA's Mario Party counterpart: Sonic Shuffle. In multiplayer, the VMU's screen is used as a screen to display your hand of cards, without showing it on the TV and letting your opponent players cheat by viewing your hand. Reason you would want to know the other players' hands, is because in that game, instead of using a card from your hand, you can steal a card from someone else.

It was only done twice. Once for the 3DS (might as well capitalize here) and once with a proper remaster on the switch. Chronicles X and Chronicles 2 are entirely separate games. Now I'll agree that I really wanna see The Last Story get a proper remaster. It was a beautiful game to play through and it had great music as well. I could easily leave the game on just to listen to its different tracks.

Random thought, what if Microsoft start putting games exclusively onto gamepass. Want to play Elder Scrolls 6 then you have to subscribe, no option to just buy it.
RIP physical media then, goddamn that's a awful idea. But the sad thing is, i can see Microsoft actually doing it. I'm just glad i'm not maining Xbox anymore, the need to make some proper exclusives to justify it's purchase. (And also on PC doesn't count as exclusive. The same even applies to Sony.)
@@54356776 that's exactly where I see it going. Right now people are all over it and that's because it really does provide the best value for the money. They won't be so happy if it becomes the only way to play though. They'll merely accept it.
One thing you can give credit to kojima is that he definitely has clear vision for his project. I mean he collaborated with sony at the end of 2015 and 6 months later we have an in engine trailer. Compared to something like fable reboot where the rumors started in 2017 and 3 years later, we only have a cgi trailer for it. So, yeah i am kind off excited for xbox to collaborate with him and see what he does next!
They wouldn't even need to do a remaster, just a port and upscale job. Or get another studio to do that so they can focus their resources on whatever is next.
These aren't apples-to-apples, I know that. But I found it interesting. Monster Hunter Rise, a game with a modestly sized audience (they aren't going after Call of Duty sales numbers) sells about 1.8 million copies opening weekend in Japan. Being a full price game, assuming Japanese prices are about the same as US, I estimate that's about $108 million it's first weekend. The movie Nobody topped the box office this weekend with 6.7 million. So sad, but I'm not ready to go back to theaters for a while, yet.

unit shipping and hard number sales are a different things, shipping four million don't always mean it sold four million, if they really want a MHW money they could have just released it on all platforms, Switch, ps4, ps5, XBONE, XSS, XSX and PC. it would reach 8 to 9 million in no time.
Ah, Blue Dragon. Remember that game? It was the first videogame I was ever aware of that wasn't a Dragonball game but yet used artwork from Akira Toriyama. Yes I know it isn't the first game that had him do the art of that wasn't anything Dragonball, but that's the first one I was aware of in my lifetime that used that man's artwork skills. Reason it took me awhile to know that Dragon Quest exists, is because I live in America, which is an area of the world where Dragon Quest didn't really hit it off as much as Final Fantasy outside of Japan.
It kills me to hear that Mistwalker doesn't want to remaster The Last Story. It really just needs and uprez and 60 fps to be an incredible port, the character models and environments were phenomenal and more people need to play that game.
Doubt it's Square. Don't underestimate the parts of the old Sonic fanbase that hold Yuji Naki in flawless regard, despite his track record being dubious (at best) since the turn of the century.
@@BrySkye The dubious Sonic then was all Takashi Iizuka. Naka's getting fucked over by Square now. They obviously rushed him and his crew into making something without letting them refine it. Why the Hell would Naka do this shit?
@@CarbonRollerCaco I consider Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes and Sonic 06 to be very firmly dubious Sonic (and 06 was Yuji's project, it had to be finished in a rush when he walked half a year before release) Can't blame someone else for those. You've kind of just made yourself an example of exactly what I was talking about. We know work actively began on Balan back in early 2019. For what it is, I don't exactly think we can call the game 'rushed'. Why would Yuji Naka do this? Maybe he just never really got his head around game development beyond the Dreamcast era.
@@BrySkye You don't realize that Naka was branching out into other things like ChuChu Rocket and Billy Hatcher in the 2000s as well. Iizuka took over for most of Sonic then, including SA2, ShadowTH (which he wrote as he's one of Shadow's cocreators) and '06. Naka leaving during the last of those is rather telling of what he thought of Sega then. Heroes was more in line with what Naka actually wanted for Sonic (as were the Advance games), but Iizuka still did level design for it. Still willing to call me an "example"? Two years is hardly enough time to make a decent even mildly epic game nowadays, especially when you start from scratch. And by "this shit" I mean the Metacritic rigging.

"Project Triangle Strategy" IS the working title.
The release title will be "Triangle Strategy".
The funny thing for me is without even hearing this news, yesterday I played both my 3DS and my Dreamcast. My Dreamcast controller is within my reach for a play session as I'm typing this.
This might sound like a lazy excuse, but it's possible that the sentences in the reviews are a little broken up because the users who wrote them are from different countries, and the auto-translation to English isn't very good. This isn't the first time I've seen this sort of thing happen, there are plenty of times I've read both comments and written review posts with broken sentences caused by bad English translation, it's not uncommon.
It's not a lazy excuse, it shows that you have a rational mind and can think objectively. You're a rare person, keep being you.
Yeah, it makes more sense that it's written by people who are not English speakers. I don't think that A.I. exists that is sophisticated enough to review games. Square probably hired some Chinese marketing company to shill for their game. Shilling is a huge industry now.
@@GigaWojak you'd be surprised at what bots can be made to do. However, in this case hiring non-English speaking people to review a game does seem plausible.

Even if they said there were working on PS3 but in the meantime PS1-PS2 would work natively on PS5 that would be a great move.
Good morning Spawn Wave watchers!
Good afternoon
It's neat that a lot of dreamcast titles are still coming up but then you notice it's 90% space shooters.

What's weird about Balan Wonderworld is I have never seen a game from a major publisher that has almost no reviews after 3-4 days of a game's release. Do y'all think there was a review embargo that extended past its sell-by-date or was it more that reviewers just don't care?
It was the former from my understanding.
The reason for Dreamcast is still getting games is for me is that is Sega’s LAST console. There are a lot of Sega fans out there still. If there were more home consoles from Sega after Dreamcast it probably wouldn’t get as much love.

From what I found out, a lot of companies in Japan had to give off this week as too many Japanese people were asking this week off to be able to play monster hunter.
It's official: Sony is now shutting down the PS3, PSP, and PS Vita stores this summer. July 2 for PS3 and PSP and August 27 for the PS Vita. Last chance everyone.
I've been thinking about that. Gonna drive me nuts.
Those user reviews don't really sound too different than most of the gibberish comments i read on sites like IGN.
3:57 The only gripe with Project Triangle Strategy I have so far is the few massive disconnects between "roaming around on the soon-to-be battlefield to get a feel for the surroundings"(why is that even in the game really, it's turn-based) and the "actual battlefield". If I cannot climb in the battle situation without the proper skill, I shouldn't be able to do it period. For some reason that one specifically made me really angry, I don't even know why.
And about it's not called Final Fantasy Tactics - it might as well be lamented that it's not called Tactics Ogre either.
4:55 Wait, why is the US-Version priced in €? That's weird.
8:49 And I thought it would be people telling that the game still wasn't that good but way better than what the demo made all of us believe. And at this point, being "unremarkable" would probably be quite a step up for Balan Wonderworld...
I haven't played the Project Triangle demo but the reveal reminded me more of Tactics Ogre on the PSP.

Spawn Wave: MH Rise could've topped somewhere upward of 1.8 million copies."
Capcom: "Small correction... 4 million."
i mean he did say 1.8mil in Japan. Capcom said 4mil units shipped globally. Still tho, great sales. Just a bit confused because Daniel Ahmed said those numbers included digital units but idk how you can 'ship' digital.
unit shipping and hard number sales are a different things, shipping four million don't always mean it sold four million, if they really want a MHW money they could have just released it on all platforms, Switch, ps4, ps5, XBONE, XSS, XSX and PC.
it would reach 8 to 9 million in no time.
It was said in the release trailer that Project Triangle Strategy is a working title.
My only concern with Project Triangle Strategy is that I don’t want to sit through 15 minutes of cutscenes between each battle..
That's kinda dope that devs are still making dreamcast games
Ah, Blue Dragon. Remember that game? It was the first videogame I was ever aware of that wasn't a Dragonball game but yet used artwork from Akira Toriyama. Yes I know it isn't the first game that had him do the art of that wasn't anything Dragonball, but that's the first one I was aware of in my lifetime that used that man's artwork skills. Reason it took me awhile to know that Dragon Quest exists, is because I live in America, which is an area of the world where Dragon Quest didn't really hit it off as much as Final Fantasy outside of Japan.
I can’t believe the 3DS has now been out for 10 years in the US...
It kills me to hear that Mistwalker doesn't want to remaster The Last Story. It really just needs and uprez and 60 fps to be an incredible port, the character models and environments were phenomenal and more people need to play that game.
Wow, SQE being petty using paid japanese comments through google translate. Not even hiring native english commentators. 😂
@@CarbonRollerCaco I consider Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes and Sonic 06 to be very firmly dubious Sonic (and 06 was Yuji's project, it had to be finished in a rush when he walked half a year before release)
Can't blame someone else for those.
PROJECT triangle strategy. I'm betting it's just a placeholder name not finalized considering how much games in development call them project until deciding on a name if it doesn't get cancelled.

New releases for classic consoles and computers never go away. There are still brand new Atari 2600 and Intelivision games released every year, not to mention Genesis and Dreamcast. Unfortunately that new shmup looks pretty mehh by the set homebrew standards. Last year's Xeno Crisis and earlier this year's Xenocider are or significantly higher quality.

GameStop didn’t get my monster hunter rise collectors edition in or any of the deluxe preorders in. After having a grand time with support for 2 hours I have to wait till April 9-30 for it to come in 🥶
Rise is tempting. I played a lot of MH4U on my 3DS, but held off on buying Monster Hunter on Switch because I was having fun with Dauntless. Now, however I only play Dauntless occasionally, and every time I log in, it's been so long that they've changed everything.
I think Capcom saved themselves after the release of Street Fighter V, it seems like the sales of that game really lit a fire under them. However, I don’t think other games really sold poorly? IIRC, RE6 is the second best selling RE game?
Talk about long production time. It is odd we have some developers still making games for aging and discontinued hardware.
