I hadn't played it because the Gamecube version is so expensive and that's the specific version I wanted to get if I decided to pick it up, but I played about an hour of it on Dolphin and it made me cave in and order a copy, and now I have to resist redownloading it to keep playing while I wait for it to arrive lmao It's SO good so far!

So I’m not even someone who got personally burned by Reforged, but I find it a bit interesting how low the skepticism is for Diablo 2 being remastered/remade. What exactly makes everyone believe they won’t put forth the same minimum effort here? I’d be glad to be proven wrong, but I have no intention of buying into any hype Blizzard puts out until I see the finished product live up to its potential and not just be a bag of empty promises.
The dev team have already shown off how the game looks and runs, so unless they were just outright lying to the public about everything, and what we saw was a special, curated tech demo that is not representative of the actual game...it looks really good. Except for the Amazon's face. She's aged twenty-five years. Go watch the developer breakdown if you haven't seen that video yet.
THANK YOUUU 🗣🗣 out of all of the LoZ games, TP is my absolute favourite too!! I find it gets unfairly dismissed or passed over in favour of praising other Zelda games like Wind Waker or Skyward Sword (both of which I feel just *meh* about)
@@wyzasukitan what are you on about? I have never seen anyone say skyward sword is better than twilight princess. Even the sales numbers don’t support that statement
I personally prefer SS over TP, but I'm aware that I'm in the minority. I think TP has the strongest and most consistent dungeon quality in the series, but I prefer the side content, overworld design/puzzles, artstyle, story and characters in SS. I like TP, especially the dungeons, but depending what someone values in a Zelda game, any Zelda game can be someone's favorite.
Skyward sword is one of my favorite Zelda's, simply because it has the best storyline in the series with interesting characters. And unlike others i liked the motion controls because it gave me new ways to solve puzzles and battle enemies.
Skyward Sword came too late in the Wii life cycle to sell well. Many people had given up on the Wii by then. Also, lots of gamers didn't want to buy or use Wii Motion Plus.
@@Level_Eleven I didn't recall that. Another solid point. I for one had packed away my Wii by a year earlier and was mostly playing PC and I had just gotten a 3DS by the time it came out because that was around when they did the 6-month post launch price drop.
I love everything about Wind Waker's characters, story, music, artstyle, and themes, but I personally think it has one of the weakest overworlds in any Zelda. The Great Sea is kind of bland, and the way you have to traverse it is slow and not terribly interesting. Great music though.
@@TommyTom21 they're not nearly interesting enough to push me to explore the world. I play zelda for the dungeons and WW had subpar dungeons unfortunately. Windwaker is just an alright game to me.
A new star fox using elements from adventures and starlink would be sooo cool. Imagine interplanetary exploration but Fox can jump out of the Arwing and run around.
Exactly a Mass Effect esque Starfox ! With dog fights/third person shooting but yeah needs a big dev and budget. Doesn’t warrant how popular the franchise is probably from the higher ups unfortunately
If you're expecting that, then you don't understand what "Star Fox" was about. "Star Fox" is a shooter with non-stop reflexes-based action, not "Mass Effect" with furries.
@@XanderVJ Yes it’s an on-rail shooter. But yeah better to stay on outdated conventions of 30 years ago, you rather play games from GameFreak like Pokémon Sword than BoTW or Odyssey with that mindset. Nothing weird to hope for space opera, the animation ova made for it showed a lot of potential for a good story. The Wii-U Starfox flopped hard critically. Who says that these changes would compromise what Star Fox is about and not extend/build it up.
It a lot more than just twitter bashing the price it every social site, meaning yes people actually don't like the price but some dumbiess said oh it's fine I love sucking the tip of nintendo to their leisure
At this point, Nintoddlers always need an excuse to complain about capitalism. It's not just Skyward Sword. To them, $60 is too much for Wii U ports, $60 is too much for some new games even. People said Star Fox Zero at $60 was too much, people were complaining that Pokemon was now at $60, people were saying $60 was too much for Kirby Star Allies, Mario Tennis, Mario Party and so on. And yet they all continue to sell. At this point, why even bother?
The only thing I don't like about Master mode is the health regen. Doesn't make things more difficult just more annoying especially for regular enemies. Health regen works for the bosses though, makes them have more urgency. But the floating platforms were a great addition made for fun new traversal and interesting battles.
I agree it was initially annoying, but as I played I appreciated that it removed any "cheese" from the equation. If you wanna beat something you have to know you're ready and the best way to tackle the situation like a master should. It forced me to get good.
@@sonymicronin The only time the health regent really ever bothered me was in the fight with Maz Koshia. God that fight on Master Mode was such a bitch.
@@badtimesgt I like it made the enemies more deadly by removing the one-hit protection but making enemies damage sponge that regen ? Ugh. I already didn't like how spongy enemies got in BOTW by the end but master mode just heightens that further, it just turns the game into light-attack spamfest. Not my thing.
@@VonBoche I never felt like they were spongy to begin with, but I also got bored in Normal mode because it was entirely too easy. Master mode focred me learn how to dodge, counter attack, parry, and get more creative with Link's various abilities or suffer the boring repetition of spamming light attack. So I get where you are coming from for sure. But I am also a "play the game on the hardest difficulty" kinda person anyway. I prefer to be challenged into thinking outside the usually limited "spam whatever works" box I tend to make for myself.
Favorite Zelda game is Wind Waker, honestly prefer the 2D Zeldas like Link to the Past and the Game Boy games but I played Wind Waker and to completely turned around my opinion on 3D Zelda.
Ocarina of Time is my favorite, followed by A Link Between Worlds, followed by Skyward Sword. So as you could've guessed, I am unbelievably hype for Skyward Sword HD. Best Zelda story with the best cast of characters. Can't wait to see other people play it and realize just how great it is.
Yeah at this point I think lead devs have had time to move computers farther apart and communicate with screen sharing on zoom. If boomers are back at the office and getting work done i think very tech savvy dev's have it figured out.
@@Jsteeezz i'd hate to break your bubble but if you thought that Covid damage is done... oh boy, you're in for a treat. Let's not forget that half the western world was basically KO for 4-8months depending on the countries. Delays are going to be MUCH MORE prominent this and next year. I had honestly given up hope for anyone ever finding a copy of an N64 Dinosaur Planet build. I'm all too aware of how fragile some older media is after 20 years, and I also know just how restrictive storage was back then. Archiving was expensive and tedious, and for Rare to have made the transition from Nintendo to Microsoft, I also expected there would be something of a purge of Nintendo IPs from their resources, so as to not risk inadvertently using IP assets they no longer had rights to on a Microsoft title. I followed the development of Dinosaur Planet when it was first announced, when the first postage stamp sized videos first appeared, that took half an hour to download over a 56.6kbps dialup modem. I remember hearing it announced that it would be canceled for the N64, and transitioned to the upcoming "Dolphin" console, what would be the Gamecube. I remember the controversy and rumors about how Miyamoto supposedly saw Sabre, and said the character reminded him of Fox McCloud, and "suggested" incorporating the Star Fox IP into the game. I remember the rumors that this caused unrest at Rare (no clue if that's really true or not...), but the rumor was, that this supposedly was the final wedge that made Rare split ways with Nintendo. When a Star Fox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet Gamecube store kiosk demo disc was found in 2013, it contained unused model, map, and sound assets from the N64 version, and portions of the game that were mid way through the N64 to Gamecube porting process. The audio revealed never before known story elements that had been scrapped, and the maps were areas never before seen. It was learned that the scope of the original game had actually been cut back. Interviews with former Rare employees have confirmed that the game was indeed trimmed down, in order to move the release up, so they could fulfill all contractual obligations with Nintendo before their transition date to working with Microsoft. The game was _literally half-assed_ so it could be rushed out before they abandoned Nintendo! This build is the best chance of learning what story elements we lost, and what gameplay and level elements may have been cut, in order to speed up the game's release! Honestly, that this was saved, utterly blows my mind. I had *_long lost hope_* for this one ever seeing the light of day. When it wasn't part of the "giga-leak", my heart sank, and my last glimemr of hope was snuffed out. I was happy we at least got what we could from the store kiosk demo disc. It was better than nothing, but I *_was_* convinced there was nothing more. When this news broke, I literally had tears in my eyes, and I have no idea if it was from the news that this leaked, the fact that it was somewhat playable, or the fact that I choked on my food when I read it! LOL, probably all of the above! I've read that the collector has an earlier build as well, and that this build is still, as of yet, unreleased. Forest of Illusion supposedly handed over a fair sum of cash for this build. I can only hope that that collector will consider allowing the earlier build to be dumped as well. I'd throw into the pot if the gaming community as a whole decided to try to make that a reality. Data hoarders are terrible when they choose to hoard and not share. Games are meant to be played! Not to sit on some shelf behind glass!
Mario party really needs dlc boards. Also would be happy to see mario party classic collections. First 4 were great for their games and comical unfairness - new ones are too balanced
Nintendo would probably make more F Zero games if people actually bought them. In fact, Captain Falcon in Smash is about the only thing keeping the franchise anything that even resembles relevant.
To be fair the amount of people who dislike the pricing online and are vocal about probably didn't buy the game or will on said principle. However that is a drop in the bucket in terms of the overwhelming majority of buyers who are just normal people who don't care and will shell out their money in 1 button click.
I agree, but I'm vocal about it and probably not likely gonna get it or if I do, I'm gonna try to get it used and get SOME kinda discount for it I spend less and don't give Nintendo any money for this shameful business practice
plus the fact that most of this "it's too expensive" ppl buy the Game anyway, because they can not say "no". luckily it's (for a good game) the "worst" Zelda out there, so i can easily pass on this. I played the origignal any every other Zelda Game, but this one has to many bad things in complare. It wanted to tell a story first, so many parts of the Game feels "glued on" to increase the Gameplay time (copy paste bosses, running around and collect tears in time of a map, after you already did run arround everywhere) plus the way Nintendo just reused maps with a small twist in it, instead of making other new maps.
@@Thesamurai1999 Yes, they don't have microtransactions, but they suck in there own way because they won't sell anything on the switch unless they price it at $60, the only game that didn't was Clubhouse Games and thank god for that But other games like Kirby Star Allies, Mario Tennis Aces, etc, those shouldn't be $60, but at least they are made from the ground up, ports aren't, Ports should not be $60
Metroid’s issue is they quit focusing on what made it great. They started chasing gimmicks and fads in the Wii/DS era, so they haven’t put their best effort out there in almost 17 years. Prime 1/2 and every 2D game had it right IMO. A lone bounty hunter fighting against all odds. The games conveyed fear, isolation, and at times a fight for survival. There wasn’t need for much dialogue because the world told the story. You go in barely equipped for the challenge ahead, and when you’re finished, you’re almost an unstoppable force. IMO, the last game that focused on the series fundamentals was the 2017 Samus Returns remake, which was buried on a overshadowed system. Before that was 2004’s Prime 2 and Zero Mission. If Nintendo took Metroid seriously, it would be successful. Games like Hollow Knight follow many of the same fundamentals and look how successful that has been.
@Eli Nelson Yep, absolutely. Nintendo also released Metroid Pinball, Federation Force, and Prime Hunters to gage the franchise’s success. Games that are far from atmospheric single player adventures the genre is known for. The Wii games were heavy with the motion controls that turned people away. I personally thought Other M portrayed Samus’ character poorly. Also I feel both other M and Prime 3 lost the traditional mood with all the assisting characters everywhere. It felt like participating in a squad versus being a lone wolf. The Wii games weren’t as bad as the examples I mentioned above, but to me it was the beginning of Metroid’s loss of identity and fade into obscurity.
Skyward Sword is one of my favorite Zelda games easily. The story, the characters, and some of the areas and dungeons really stand out in the franchise. Looking at Lanayru Desert and the Ancient Cistern. I even liked the use of motion controls. Only one weird boss design and the last two hearts were weird to me. I'm glad more people will get to experience it now.
Props to Evan on the insane looking jacket. Man I hope they can push D2 Ressurected even further this time around and possibly release newer content maybe even the canceled Salvation expansion. Never imagined I would be playing D2 on consoles more so in a handheld one.
Skyward Sword is a great game, but I will admit that I'm glad they added the option to turn off motion controls. I remember when I bought the original, I'd come home from work, all tired out, and I just wouldn't feel like waving my arms around like a crazy person. It took me a lot longer to finish than normal. I do like the motion controls, but the option to turn them off is a game changer. Pardon the pun.
The bit with Take-Two CEO reminds me of a similar situation with duke nukem forever. Back when it was still in development hell I remember in 2007 take-two actually sued 3D realms for their incompetency at actually completing the game, and the whole development team was let go.
I like how during the presentation for Skyward Sword, they were mentioning how it was the origin of the stamina meter as if it was revolutionary. It is like they are trying to sell the game as something that is similar to BOTW, when it really isn't.
@@matguimond92 Or they could go for an open world esque thing with Star Fox 2. Just because the planet was saved doesn't necessarily mean it stays safe.
They are already $79.99 in Canada.. and have been since the Wii U days. Our local London Drugs still has multiple copies of Breath Of The Wild on Wii U for $79.99 🙁
I feel like it's not fair to compare the sword/shield situation to skyward sword. As bad as pokemon looked, as much controversy was around that game, it was still a brand new videogame from Nintendo, a Pokemon game, and the first mainline entry on console... And skyward sword is a 10 year old Wii port that sells for $20 on the Wii U right now. Apples to oranges.
Yea but this 10 year old port had significant work done on it in regards to motion controls for the joy cons and now button only controls. Looks great and now also running at 60 fps. I bet there will be plenty QOL updates as well. 60 bucks is fair, 40 would be nice but 60 is understandable.
A Link to the Past is easily my favorite Zelda game. It was the game that first got me hooked on the action RPG genre and I still go back to it on occasion nearly 30 years later.
I've been around long enough to have played the very first Zelda game back in the day but my favorite would probably be Majora's Mask, with Wind Waker a close second. I always loved the darker themes and tone present in the game and just the adventure of running around trying to unravel mysteries with the whole Groundhog Day style time loop mechanic. So I've never played Skyward Sword either as I was on hiatus from console gaming and the Nintendo landscape for awhile and skipped both the Wii and Wii U, but to me the fact that it had such a poor hardware attach rate is due to multiple factors. The Wii era was largely a different time before mobile devices really took off and a ton of people who bought Wii's were just casual buyers who were not traditionally video gamers so many of the consoles just ended up collecting dust. The game also came out real late in the console's life cycle as you pointed out and the forced motion controls also definitely turned some people off and colored their perceptions of the game. Had no idea Star Fox Adventures was originally another game. Though I never played it or really had an interest in it so I can't say I gave it significant scrutiny. That's certainly not the first time that sort of thing with a game getting repurposed and rebranded has happened though. Super Mario Bros. 2 in North America being the classic example, which of course we didn't find out about until later. Still a wonderful game in its own right but naturally was a bit of departure from the traditional SMB formula of that era. As far as Diablo II goes I have fond memories of it as well so absolutely loving the announcement of the remaster and definitely looking forward to it.
Most of them are non fans who tried to muddied the water... when Nintendo fans don't like something they just flat out don't buy them without any fuss... Just like Wii U. That's my personal observations anyway
@@thelegendofstonecoldstevea3205 you're not used to Nintendo games, right? there is no sale, you either pay the 60 bucks or don't play... I won't be playing this one, played on the Wii, not worth 60 to buy again.

Some, some are the people that never played it. To me since its my first time experiencing the game its like getting a new game and is justifiable for $60
@@THEpicND It doesn't justify anything. The game is about a decade old and even if you never played it, it's too expensive. 40€ would be more than enough.
Be very wary of Skyward Sword if you're a Zelda fan. SS is the most annoying and frustrating part in the series. It's so over-tutorialized that it spoils every puzzle, often before you even get to try for yourself. The only redeeming quality is probably the combat, as it's the first 3D Zelda where the direction of your strikes makes a difference, something I've been missing ever since OoT introduced different sword moves.
@@christophersavignon4191 “Master, there is a 75% chance this is the right way to go.” Never again. Not even for free, let alone full price. Baby’s First Adventure feat. Skyward sword is amazing. You will find so many connections to Ocarina of time, Twilight princess, Link to the past and breath of the wild that your head will spin. Hell just stand in front of the sealed temple and look at the background, you might get goosebumps.

@@joegardner851 Don't create expectations the game can't live up to. Their "relationship" is rather shallow, a few interactions at the start and then practically nothing for the rest of the game. In any case, that would make it worth watching a LP, not worth subjecting yourself to the torture of "playing" Skyward Sword.
They'd sell it for $20 if they did it in singles. You kiddos have a hard time grasping the concept of value. It hurts you to swallow the truth, but Nintendo game just hold their value better. The same way some cars hold their value and some even increase, the same applies to video games. It's why you see few month old playstation and Xbox games at $20 but decade old Nintendo games are still worth full price. And you're free to have the opinion that they aren't worth more, but unfortunately for you the market disagrees. If they didn't sell, they would drop the price. But they sell, regardless of age and price, Nintendo games are just worth more. Edit: and before someone tries to use the bad faith argument of "you're just a Nintendo fanboy". No no, if I'm a fanboy if anything, it's PC.
bruh im so sick of games that are clearly predatory in one way or another (timed releases, $60 remasters, poor-quality, etc.) becoming best-sellers it sends such a bad message to companies in regards to what they can get away with.
I’m not really angry about Skyward Sword, I played that game but never beat it. It’s my least favorite Zelda game but I genuinely want to give it a retry. I think they will do what they did with Twighlight and Wind Waker where they improve the gameplay. I’m excited to see!
Skyward Sword required a Wii motion plus adapter for the Wiimotes. At the time I didn’t have it. That’s an extra $20 buy-in if you don’t have the compatible controllers. I remember that being a deterrent at the time.
@sebastian guerrero @TheAlibabatree I stand by my statement. 10-20 years from now people will still be playing Super Metroid & the Prime games. We'll see if Splatoon gets past 4. I doubt people will still be playing Splatoon in 10-20 years.
A cult following that only cares about 3 games in a series with double digit entries. "Cult" is the best word to use for people who think a series can be dead and put out a new game every few years, simultaneously. I wish most defunct series were dead the way Metroid is.
Blizzard Arcade Collection might just be the GREATEST game collection of all time (if you have the nostalgia for these 3 games), but it has NOTHING to do with arcades.

I suspect the problem with Skyward Sword was it came out for the WII at a time when HD TVs were starting to really take over. I know I got Skyward Sword around 2012/2013 which was around the same time I replaced my 24" CRT with a 40" HDTV, and I was never really able to get the WIImote to work well with it. It meant that I eventually stopped playing the WII and was never able to finish Skyward Sword as a result. And, like a lot of people, I didn't make the transition to the WiiU, because early on, I'd heard it had dropped WII compatibility, and because at the same time, Nintendo was shutting down RUclips creators for reporting on it, the entire system dropped off my radar entirely. It's literally only in the last couple of months that I've been finding out why the Switch is a great console, and how to even get a WII working right on an HD TV. Nintendo basically lost about 10 years of and two full consoled generations my patronage because of idiot marketing.
At what point will you guys understand, we core gamers don't buy the big chunk of the games? At what point will you realise, the screeching minority on social media demanding boycotts or throwing hissy fits, aren't as big as you think they are and don't matter? It's casuals that buy that stuff and they don't care if they want a Zelda game. Especally since not every gamer ever has already played it... not everyone is a guy in their 40s. Heck, for everyone who doesn't own a Wii with WiiMotion Plus and the game, this is the cheapest way to get it for one of the most hyped systems. If you don't want to pay 60 bucks, think it is too expensive... just don't buy it. Problem solved, easy. But since you can't stop complaining you are either salty because you want it really bad but for cheap or you already know that your little tantrum is the only thing that could be heard since those few copies we buy just don't matter. Just accept it, the market wants revisited games, books, movies and all the other media... money is louder than your tamper tantrums.
I'm definitely annoyed that Skyward Sword was a solo HD release, as opposed to being part of a Zelda 3D collection. With Wind Waker and Twilight Princess already having 3D remasters, tossing all 3 together for $60 would just make sense. That being said, I really feel Skyward Sword was vastly underappreciated, and I highly recommend it to anybody that missed it. I actually hated the motion controls, but the interactivity of the world below the clouds was a real joy to navigate. Like the old 2D Zelda games, it felt like every object was intentionally placed instead of the usual Hyrule Fields mostly empty space. Content was really densely packed together, with complex, branching paths. The areas were small, but there were actual legitimate puzzles present, shortcuts to unlock, and paths that would become accessible later after you get new items. It was a lot like Metroid games in that sense, and I would really like to see this style again. Also, it's probably going to play better without motion controls. The Right stick for the sword will be weird, but swordplay honestly just felt awful in the original release (although a lot of people disagree with me) and the use of Wii Motion Plus instead of IR for aiming the bow, etc. was just baffling.
My favorite Zelda game, and contender for favorite game of all time, is Zelda Majora's Mask. The time mechanic makes the world feel like it's truly alive, and the characters are more relatable than any other Zelda game. They have defined personalities and personal problems that make you care for them. The atmosphere is intense and leads to an unforgettable mood. The music is so varied and compliments the areas and atmosphere perfectly. The dungeons are some of the most puzzling and layered in the entire series, striking a really good balance of challenge. Skull Kid makes for one of the best villains in the Zelda, always taunting you, toying with you, causing misery because he finds it entertaining. I adore literally everything about the game, and I replay it at least once every year.
I reject the premise of that poll because the "NO" answers suggests that I WILL be buying/playing it on the Switch. That's the reason I refrained from answering it when he posted it lol.
@@Jcorry123 Yeah I guess you have a point there. But then, I think the word "could" would have been how I would have phrased it. That, or simply have a Yes or No answer haha.
The Japanese copy of Legend of Mana will have English support, yes. As a side note, if you have a Japanese account but don't know Japanese, and you want to know if a game has English support or not, it's very easy to find: Open the Japanese eshop on your switch (or go to the website: store-jp.nintendo.com), find the game you're wondering about, scroll down to where supported languages (対応言語) is and look for 英語, which is English. And in case you're looking for other languages: 日本語 is Japanese, スペイン語 is Spanish, フランス語 is French, ドイツ語 is German, イタリア語 is Italian, オランダ語 is Dutch, ロシア語 is Russian, 韓国語 is Korean, and 中国語 is Chinese. I think that covers a large majority.
It's a shame Skyward Sword is selling so well, many people complain about Nintendo's over-reliance on old titles and then buy it anyways. If you are tired of Nintendo's practices, do not buy this release. I sure am not.
@@KikiKagePro Agreed, Skyward Sword was narratively one of my favorite Zelda games, It could have been a bit longer, but the story and the introduction of Demise and such were pretty cool.
To be honest, the whole "I told you so" narrative around Skyward Sword being $60 feels like a needless victory lap by people who are more knowledgeable of the game industry than others. Not saying that was done in this video (quite the contrary), but I'm seeing it a lot on Twitter from people. "Of course it's $60, duh, what did you expect?" is a lot of the reaction and it bothers me. We as people who closely follow the industry know the trend. It's Nintendo. They could sell the original Mario Bros with a collection of pins for $60 and it'd top the charts. But because we know this doesn't mean other consumers aren't right to feel the way they do. It's a really old game and on first glance, it doesn't seem to be a ground-up remake. Other platforms sell remasters of older games for $20-40. If I were a casual player, I'd be a bit turned off as well. But again, we know why it will do well at $60 - it's Nintendo and they're uniquely different in the marketplace. However, being a bit turned off by this is not some dumb or irrational take or feeling to have. I don't love how they set the trend of selling ten year old games at full price time after time. But it works and until it doesn't, nothing will change. Regardless though, we shouldn't discard peoples' feelings on this (if genuine and not trolls), because I think it's a legitimate gripe to have, despite the fact it's Nintendo's game and they can do whatever they want with it.
Skyward Sword will forever be my favorite Zelda game. It was my first Zelda and the story/environments captivated me instantly, a nostalgic classic in my eyes.
@@shortop1504 That's good that you like it. Not knocking anyone who does. To me and most people, Skyward Sword was the video game equivalent of Nintendo sniffing their own farts so much that their head went clean up their asshole like in South Park. It irrevocably broke the already mostly broken Zelda timeline and it, objectively, played like absolute garbage. It was after this game was made that I had started to call for Miyamoto to retire and let other people take over who care about actual innovation and not continuing Nintendo's Prime Directive of being as lazy as possible while still charging more than everyone else.
Funny how people were like “omg blizzard is so horrible I’m not supporting them ever!” Yet as soon as they announce something people want others are like, imma get it. So much for saying you weren’t going to support them.
Same crap with EA. When EA really started getting bad and killing off companies and franchises people were all about boycotting them for their crappy practices. Right up until another madden or fifa released and continued to still buy it year after year even when EA was legit just copying everything from the previous one. I’m one of the few still holding out not giving EA money. Last madden I bought was 07 and fifa street was last time I gave EA any money. Even if they made the most amazing new dead space game I still wouldn’t come back.
@@Vyse195 you clearly missed his point. No one ever said "every single Nintendo fan". He's completely right that a very big majority of Nintendo fans will buy anything and everything. Even a shitty Pokemon Switch game that looks worse than a 3DS game. Unfortunately, in this day and age, complaining gets better results than not spending. Look at the Microsoft Xbox Live price increase controversy, they didn't stop it due to lack of sales, they did it because of the bitching.
I am right there with you on the Link to the Past being my favorite Zelda game. I still remember back in the day as a kid when the game came out it came with a folded card with a few slight hints like a mini version of a strategy guide. And strangely I remember one of the hints was to where you can find one of the bottles.

6:20 The National Dex Pokemon thing was a bad thing but not enough for me not to get the game. However its a decision I regret cos I dropped Sword after a few hours. It was just......bad. Way inferior to XY/Sun&Moon which I rate very highly. Although maybe I should have expected it after Let's Go.......
Can't wait to see what the manufactured controversy is this time. I appreciate it being said that the people complaining are a vocal minority. That is absolutely the truth.
It's more of a Nintendo problem really. 60 dollars for a wii u port? Yikes. 60 dollars for a wii port? Bigger yikes. Unlike Windwaker HD I dount they did much for this game.
@@Deliveredmean42 Well, I know I'm part of the problem because I've never played skyward sword but the way people talk it up positively and negatively has me interested.
@@retropulse03 dude it looks exactly likr it looked in the wii, hell even wind waker had some reworked lighting. I like how Blizzard is changing almost nothing about Diablo 2 for the remaster. Adding a few quality of life changes is fine but the gameplay and character building will be exactly the same. They even specifically mentioned how respecing your character won't be allowed.
Just sounds like Metroid would be "big" to you and other fans. I'd love to see more love and news on Metroid, but Splatoon 3 IS a huge deal and was hype for a lot of people, your love or nostalgia for it notwithstanding.
A franchise that already exists on the console is always going to be less of a big deal than one that doesn't. Metroid coming to switch will absolutely be a bigger deal than splatoon, even if sales aren't as high
@@harrylane4 def be a bigger deal to metroid fans like you and me. but basing it from a sales perspective, that number of metroid fans is lower than splatoon, mario kart, or other nintendo franchises. i get and agree with the sentiment metroid announcement/news would be hype for us, but just because we'd be more excited for a different title announcement than what was doesn't mean the titles announced were universally not 'big' or hyped or whatever. which i only bring up cause spawnwave dude had been speaking on the topic like it was a universal truth that the announcements weren't 'big'. and with today's video, he more or less admitted it was from a preference angle. which is totally fine and viable, but the overall framing of it all is what motivated me to comment in the first place.
If Nintendo is rebooting Zelda games at random, I think Metroid Fusion should be the first reboot (if not a new original) to get peoples attention back on the franchise!
It's make sense, but since game are usually made on dev kits on a pc It's easier to do it the way they are unless it's a specific engine that doesn't run typically on pc
When Blizzard first marketed Diablo 3 to come out on PS4 and PC. It took 2 more years to finally come out on PS4. However, it launched on Xbox 360 and PS3 the following year.
I really wonder if many ppl compare each Zelda Game. I know there's no overall "bad" Zelda Game out there (ignoring the CD-i Games), but Skyward Sword is the one with the most problems overall(and i don't talk about the controls). Is it nostalgic or just pure ignorance, that ppl say, it's "one of the best"? That the Game get so much hype and get preordered is normal. It's called Zelda and after many ppl played maybe Zelda BotW the first time (+ every other Zelda Fan out there) the numbers increases. I really wonder if Nintendo changes some parts of the Game (less time wastes like they did in WW and TP) or putting something new in (for example the "Miiverse Stamps in Chests), otherwise i pass on this. (to much time wastes = collecting tears in time after you already reached your goal of the map, copy paste bosses, reused Levels instead of making new areas ect. the list goes on)
This isn't really a boycott or a push back situation. Just because someone also wants other Zelda games doesn't mean they don't still want Skyward Sword. Besides, people being upset is pointless anyway, and dumb. They're mad about something they don't even have information about yet. They have no idea what all Nintendo is going to do for the anniversary but they're mad already simply because they don't know. Typical. As for things like Sword and Shield.. there wasn't big push back or big controversy. It's just a classic example of confirmation bias. Less than 7% of the US population uses Twitter, yet when a few hundred posts from RUclipsrs or other "influencers" crop up, people mistakenly believe this is what the entire world thinks. I'm not here saying Sword and Shield are good games, but if people truly were boycotting them on any real level, they wouldn't have sold tens of millions of copies.
Twilight Princess is probably my favorite. It is the one that I've replayed through more than any other Zelda game.

I’d be glad to be proven wrong, but I have no intention of buying into any hype Blizzard puts out until I see the finished product live up to its potential and not just be a bag of empty promises.
Blizzard no longer deserves the benefit of the doubt. Anything they announce should be viewed with a ton of skepticism.
The dev team have already shown off how the game looks and runs, so unless they were just outright lying to the public about everything, and what we saw was a special, curated tech demo that is not representative of the actual game...it looks really good. That being said Windwaker is my favorite "vanilla" release. Loved mapping out the sea.
The only thing I don't like about Master mode is the health regen. Doesn't make things more difficult just more annoying especially for regular enemies. Health regen works for the bosses though, makes them have more urgency. But the floating platforms were a great addition made for fun new traversal and interesting battles.

Nintendo is probably like we have Mario Kart and that's making a lot
Nintendo would probably make more F Zero games if people actually bought them. In fact, Captain Falcon in Smash is about the only thing keeping the franchise anything that even resembles relevant.
To be fair the amount of people who dislike the pricing online and are vocal about probably didn't buy the game or will on said principle. However that is a drop in the bucket in terms of the overwhelming majority of buyers who are just normal people who don't care and will shell out their money in 1 button click.
I agree, but I'm vocal about it and probably not likely gonna get it or if I do, I'm gonna try to get it used and get SOME kinda discount for it
I spend less and don't give Nintendo any money for this shameful business practice
plus the fact that most of this "it's too expensive" ppl buy the Game anyway, because they can not say "no". luckily it's (for a good game) the "worst" Zelda out there, so i can easily pass on this.

You could say the option to turn the motion controls off is motivating... pardon the pun.
I play mostly handheld. I doubt I would have bought it without the change
The bit with Take-Two CEO reminds me of a similar situation with duke nukem forever. Back when it was still in development hell I remember in 2007 take-two actually sued 3D realms for their incompetency at actually completing the game, and the whole development team was let go.

I never got to play skyward sword, since I never owned a Wii plus, and as a zeldafan I really want to pick it up now.

Don't create expectations the game can't live up to.
Their "relationship" is rather shallow, a few interactions at the start and then practically nothing for the rest of the game. I'd argue that it just barely passes OoT in that regard, where you also befriend Zelda, but then interact regularly later on.
In any case, that would make it worth watching a LP, not worth subjecting yourself to the torture of "playing" Skyward Sword.
Nintendo: Ohh, so they are buying Skyward Sword for Switch at $60? Will they buy Ocarina of Time at $70?
Let’s see...
@@retropulse03 Yeah and to be honest Skywards Swords motion controls weren’t very good
Skyward Sword required a Wii motion plus adapter for the Wiimotes. At the time I didn’t have it. That’s an extra $20 buy-in if you don’t have the compatible controllers. I remember that being a deterrent at the time.

Breath of the Wild has to be my favorite Zelda.

The Japanese copy of Legend of Mana will have English support, yes.
As a side note, if you have a Japanese account but don't know Japanese, and you want to know if a game has English support or not, it's very easy to find:
Open the Japanese eshop on your switch (or go to the website: store-jp.nintendo.com), find the game you're wondering about, scroll down to where supported languages (対応言語) is and look for 英語, which is English.
I'm sure there are many people, like me, who actually wanted them to port it. I have been hoping for many years that they would. I will be buying it.

To all those people who have gripes with it. Don't buy it. 60 dollars is not a lot of money to people and Nintendo's Ip's are legendary.

Maybe instead of targeting PC first then going to Consoles, they plan to target "Gaming Devices" first then go to Mobile.
It's make sense, but since game are usually made on dev kits on a pc It's easier to do it the way they are unless it's a specific engine that doesn't run typically on pc

Everyday. I love it.
