Prince had a great sense of humor. The song was Breakfast Can Wait! The pic of Dave holding a plate of pancakes was perfect & he didn't tell Dave before it came out. When Dave saw it he got the best laugh out of it. Prince himself said the story was true!
My friend who was doing show promotion and hanging with producers and shit was also there and he also said this sketch was 100% accurate that's what happened lol
Funny-MJ was good at basketball too! Used to go to Balboa Park to play(near the Jackson’s place). Regulars said the brothers would come down and play sometimes, and the best one was Michael...🎶 Early 80’s
Rick James & the Murphy bros were aparently real friends. Rick James did write & produce "Party All the Time" for Eddie. And who popped up early in the "Life" movie as an underworld gangster type... Rick James, Bitch! lol I'm sure some of the fighting on the Chappelle skit was turned up for the show, but I think interviews with Stone City Band members can confirm the craziness. (Cocaine's a helluva drug!)
@@sayeager5559 Ahh... Rick confirmed that one himself.. "What do I look like grinding my feet on someone's couch, I got more sense than that." Then a heartbeat later... "I remember grinding my feet on Eddie's couch"
“Assemble your crew”
Lets Go! :)
Prince was SUPER competitive in everything that he did......
A friend of mine who knows someone who knew Prince told me about Prince playing basketball in his heels before there even was a Chapelle Show.
Love how he later used Chappelle's picture as the cover for one of his singles
Breakfast can wait! LOL, Chappelle's response to that was awesome.

He played on his high school team. Plenty of team pics out there with him .

Man.. prince was such a gem of a (dare I even say) "human"?
Such a talented character, and such great unique style of music.

Please keep this series going!
What they didn’t know, was that Prince was the starting point guard in high school.
"nah i didnt play I was... (HIGH ON COCAINE)"
So glad I subscribed. Such great stories. Thank you
"Pop The J"...... "Shoot It"!!!
Another great nugget. RIP Prince…
Paisley Park is amazing. I wonder if the costume room is still there.
Prince said the story was true.
The next time I’m in LA can I a) tour the studio; b) meet Peggy? Seriously.
Rip Darkness
Not 100% - Prince said it was 99% , cause he didnt serve the pancakes himself.
I remember reading that prince took issue with the fact it was pancakes. He maintained it was waffles. Either way he confirmed the story was legit.
This made my day that this story is real!!!
He rented Phil Leotardo's place?
😂😂😂
Everybody claim 2 have been there now and witness it was more people there than a Timberwolf game
Uh… who else has ever made that claim?
@@sunsetsoundrecorders do ya research of u a prince fan I don’t gossip
Mickey Free
@@beingsshepherd yeah that’s it.
@@pettyceddy9538 I have thats why I’m asking. Only 1 person said that and it was Mickey. You said “Everybody”
Game. Blouses.
And he played ball in heels. Still with the heels. No Nike's, etc.
Someone's gotta find that pic of Prince hooping at SS.
“game…blouses”
Can you confirm any more of Charlies Rick James stories?

@@SchizoSkillz I meant to type any "more" of the stories, especially the muddy boots one.
