After growing up in Central Ohio, the natural progression is to move to Columbus, but this was a very different town in the early 2000s. After surviving the Great Recession, Columbus has been on an absolute tear. While the recession was rough, we tended to fare better than many other cities partially due to the diverse amount of employers in the area. That, along with a focus on redevelopment of areas close to Downtown, population growth and the relatively cheap cost of living have helped buoy the Central Ohio area.
It doesn't seem that long ago in 2009 when residents were stoked to get Yuengling Lager to the area. Fast forward a short decade and today we have over 50 local breweries and our own "Ale Trail". That is just one of the fantastic changes.
Leaving for ten years, I left more or less a cow town and returned to a City bustling with boutique shops, coffee houses and restaurants, a renewed focus on fitness and somehow it seemed sunnier. In fact, it was such a cool city that we decided to stay.

I definitely agree with your number 1. If I lived in Columbus, I would definitely want to live in German Village. My second choice would be Grandview.

Dublin is GREAT! For this video I focused on Columbus proper...otherwise Dublin would have been in the mix.

I travelled from LA to Columbus for the Michigan State game last year. Had no idea what to expect. We rented bikes and rode all around the city. If I ever move, I'm buying a house in Victorian Village. Amazing.

Great video. I enjoyed the tour around Columbus. Not really a neighborhood per se but certainly a destination place to live has got to be Easton. Easton Commons is an anchor apartment complex actually within Easton Town Center but there are so many great single family housing subdivision so close to Easton. Easton is definitely a place I'd love to live in.

Easton has a ton to offer, I agree!

This is so helpful! My new job is going to be in the Easton area, and I'm researching places to live. It seemed so far away from the city though.

@@NiniEJ Nisha Easton is right next to the interstate. I-270 is just about "walkable" from Easton. You're on I-270 for about 45 seconds and then you merge onto I-670 which takes you right downtown Columbus. From the time you leave Easton Town Center and arrive downtown..that trip is only about 15 min (not in rush hour). It's a great place to live so be sure to check it out...you won't be disappointed. Best of luck to you.
