Jing Gao says she found her calling when, in her twenties, she ended years of globetrotting to return to Chengdu, a city in China’s southwestern province of Sichuan that is famous for its spicy cuisine. Jing had been known as “Jenny”, a name she chose herself hoping to fit in with her Western classmates, but reclaimed her birth name for her signature chilli Fly By Jing. Gao recently spoke with Post deputy culture editor Charmaine Mok about how her modern food brand has set her a journey of self-discovery and a mission to “evolve culture through taste” by expanding palates and minds in communities where Chinese food is often misunderstood.

Here in Toronto, there is a pizzeria, Makers Pizza that had a pizza called "Fly by Jing" which used Fly by Jing hot sauce I place of tomato sauce, topped with cumin lamb. It was fantastic, but unfortunately they removed it from the menu 😢
So Fly by Jing vs Lao Gan Ma in the future....
Kinda exciting for potential options for chili oils...

It isn’t something new to combine sweet and savoury flavour in ice cream
Noone said it's something new, it's been eaten from centuries in China and probably in other countries and cultures too with different flavours. This video is just sharing some light on this.
