I have noticed a connection between my acidity and vertigo. Initially I threw out the acidity, that would calm my vertigo. Since then I have given up on aerated drinks, fast food, fermented foods, bakery products, tomato,...
As you mentioned, I feel burning sensation in my ear, and behind the eye. Sometimes even in the nose. My ear feels clogged and I get a feeling that my sputum instead of moving from throat, moves towards the left ear.

Acid reflux can affect your middle ear and even your nose ! You can have loss of balance, pain in your ears , runny nose ( especially in the morning).
Eustachian tube dysfunction can worsen and even tinnitus is more intense with acid reflux .
Helicobacter pylori may also give vertigo and excessive acid reflux...So I guess as a patient you have to pay attention for every symptom . New ones can be connected to previous symptoms 🤷

I had a fall and then had vertigo with hearing problems. It took weeks to get better. I have Barrett's oesophagus.

The ear crystals are the most common cause of vertigo, called BPPV and I have videos on that too! Most cases of BPPV are idiopathic, so they occur spontaneously with no known cause. This video explains a possible connection if someone got a new onset of BPPV or labyrinthitis after they had an episode of acid reflux.
