The dial is amazing. The bracelet is definitely one of a kind to me. I like the 4.5 dial just because it's different. Different is the name of the game to me.
Seiko has 10% off so I just ordered mine, can't wait to see what number I get lol. But seems like a great watch for the money and will inspire me to push that platinum Daytona one day
Bro, its 60-minute totalizer is difficult to read, and the 24/7 subdial is more or less a waste of space. This'd be a keeper if it had a 30-minute totalizer as well as a 12-hour totalizer instead of the AM/PM indicator. Don't let Seiko get away with this BS.
What's the point of a 24-hour sub dial indicator that doesn't corelate with the chronograph? Some sort of AM/PM indicator if you live on a submarine or north pole I presume.
Bro, that's less impressive when you realize that it can only measure up to 60 minutes of elapsed time. My Lorus chronograph from the 1990s sweeps AND can measure up to 12 hours!
I recently picked up an Invicta Pro Diver “ Limited Edition "... to 25,000 pieces 😂😂😂 Interestingly, it came individually numbered with a Sapphire Crystal.
I have the SSC017. It also has the useless date.😨 yes, it would be better without a date at all. The date on mine can only be read in nearly ideal lighting.
hi rob, how come dreyfuss and co watches dont get more love? they use swiss movements, are hand assembled, and have unique numbers and super affordable
Eh. It's a cool looking piece of kit however the date window is impossible to view as it's too deep as you mentioned. I have tried the SSC? (similar version to this watch) on before and it looks just too small, ridiculous and silly, on my 7.25" wrist. This watch could be better and for $450+ it's a big fail as the watch band feels cheap as well.
A good looking watch; so it is a pity that the date feature is a double negative - it spoils the appearance (in my opinion) and, as Rob pointed out, is very difficult to read… even more so for my 62 year-old eyes.
@@rossdev That is an outstanding idea! My Citizen Skyhawk has exactly such a feature, albeit a little larger and placed differently on the dial; but that watch is 7 years old and technology has improved so much since then.

I'd go for a different movement if at least all the subdials,.minus the running seconds, had a related chronograph function as it should. Also, not a fan of the black center links. I've owned some watches before and I.discovered I don't like that look. Prefer all matching stainless steel.. would take high polish centerlines over the black ones.
Beautiful colors, stupidity calling that a limited edition and stupidity about the "athletes thing" ..whatever lol but other than those 2 stupid things its a cool watch

Thats a winner there. Not sure about the bracelet but that would look good on a brown leather strap in the upcoming cold weather.

They should put a little button you press to light up the date hole

I agree..I wonder could they have put a very small led display there for the date or would it spoil the look of the dial?

That's definitely disappointing. I prefer my chronographs to be able to measured elapsed time up to 12 hours. My 1990s Lorus chrono can do that.
