If he actually used his brain and observed the video with sound turned off, he might have been able to follow the steps instead of having to have every mouse click explained to him verbally like you would have to do with a child. That said, I appreciate you posting this tip. You are pretty fast in Revit...I'm hoping to increase my speed to match yours one of these days. :)
Here's an alternative for someone, like myself who wants to draw a pipe with text instead of a component line: Right click the pipe system under project browser and click type properties, put your text in the abbreviation. Save it. Close. Click annotation on ribbon, tag by category, "tags" button below, scroll down to pipe/pipe placeholder, change tag to piping system abbreviation, hit ok, uncheck the leader box next to the tag box, and hit the pipe to place your text tag. I believe its easier that way because it works with a pipe and not just a component line.

Did you custom create the detail item line based template? I dont have that template.
