If they had brought him in, with his being the first pit box he would have had to wait for the entire field to pass before they released him. There would have been a near constant stream of cars going past and to get out he would have to get a penalty for unsafe release.

I'm sure others reacted to seeing everyone ahead of them box even if they were on the fence..... Plus you had mid field and back markers up front willing to take chances.....a championship contender is going to be much more conservative. Just one of those strange happenings.

Bring in Albon to re-construct Hamilton starting the race by himself and then fighting through the field to p3. After that have him recreate Bottas wiping out Norris and the redbulls. Then send Albon to the stewards to recreate the measurement of the fuel from Vettel's car and sit him with the stewards to re-create the moment they disqualified Vettel from P2. Next, send him to Vettel's house to recreate Vettels reaction to the disqualification and send him to Lewis's house to recreate his reaction to being promoted to P2. Finally, hire lawyers to review the whole race... and let Albon recreate the legal proceedings.
Then make a power point of all that and send it as "NEW EVIDENCE" to the stewards and demand a review of the whole race.

The engine story is also true for Perez. The rules are messed up. Being taken out of the race by a massive incident damaging the engine punishes you twice. Firstly, DNF for incident race, secondly grid penalty for 4th engine. Now, Hamilton in Silverstone could finish and had his engine undamaged whilst receiving 10s penalty (ridiculous at current performance gap) and Bottas though DNF appears to have his engine less affected by the crash. Receiving a 5 grid penalty does not compensate at all for the damage he caused to Perez, Verstappen and Norris

What penalties are given out for has nothing to do with the outcome, it's the direct incident only and a penalty is given for that only. The re why team's get a penalty for charging engine or gearbox is to stop them for having an advantage over other team's. They all have to run the same amount of engines and gearbox. He held off a four time world champion for 66 laps, so no, he didn’t win it in lap 1, he won it with his faultless driving

Ocon really won at the right time. He won in front of the crowds, while Gasly and Perez didn't. And Ocon also won before the summer break. He will have the greatest holliday ever for sure.

My wife ended up watching the entire race with me. I felt loved. Definitely one of the most entertaining races I've seen.

There are so many things I wanna say!
    - Alonso beeing a great teammate? I would've never expected that!
    - Put Alonso in a Red Bull and someone will finally challenge Max and fight for the titel.
    - Who would've thought, the fact that you CAN'T overtake, will be the reason for a great race?
    - Hamilton vs Alonso - man we waited long for this! PLEASE MORE!
    - Incredible that Williams scores 10 points, and we barly have time to talk about it!
    - I love George, but I always said, that Latifi is an amazing driver, and he prooved it again!
    - I really hope Lewis is doing better after the race!
    - What an amazing season! Hopefully it goes on like this after the break. I'm almost sad about the regulation change.
