Health equity aims to ensure every individual has the opportunity to attain their highest level of health, regardless of their social, economic, or demographic background. This concept is rooted in the pursuit of fairness and justice within healthcare systems. Governments, public health organizations, and advocacy groups are increasingly acknowledging the need to dismantle structural barriers that hinder equitable health outcomes. Policies aimed at reducing income inequality, improving educational opportunities, and enhancing access to affordable healthcare are crucial steps. Healthcare providers plays important roles in promoting health equity during pandemic responses.
