    In Arab countries that have massive oil reserves the petrol costs absolute pennies because they have so much of it. Why is it then if we have so many wind turbines that they’re overloading the grid our bills go up instead of coming down. And also if the existing wind farms are already overloading the grid, why has the government just given green light for another 100 projects??? They will just stand idle and we’ll have to pay for them to be turned off, wont be long before our electricity bills will be £1k per month.

    • @SierraNovemberKilo
      @SierraNovemberKilo 10 дней назад +1

      Energy from wind generation can't be stored. It has to go direct to use. Hence why gas/coal/woodchip power stations have to take up the slack. They are necessary to balance the grid and keep it stable. Otherwise, it'll be like living in 3rd world countries where they have intermittent, unpredictable electricity supply.

    Wind energy is only going to get more expensive, for lots of reasons like upgrading the national grid and the majority of sub stations which largely have no spare capacity. Basically if we say overnight demand is 25 GWatts but maximum feasible capacity generated by wind turbines is 80G watt, then we have to ‘compensate’ (pay) the power companies for the electricity they could generate that we don’t need. Hence the additional turbines Dim Milliband just auctioned will increase costs further because of additional over capacity, even allowing for the increasing numbers of turbines reaching their end of design life, which typically is only 10 years. As theoretical wind generated energy capacity increases, additional gas power capacity is required as back up and because the gas has to be ready and is continuously being cranked up and down to deal with fluctuations in wind energy, we have to pay an additional premium for gas due to loss of efficiency that doing this to cover wind variations causes. Renewables have a place, but we have long since gone beyond what is viable economically and hence our bills keep rising and will continue to do so for the next 15 years minimum. But remember according to the green energy zealots like Milliband, green energy is far cheaper than fossil fuel powered energy, which is a lie and his pet favourite offshore floating wind turbines generates the most expensive energy nearly 5 times more expensive than gas. Although the biggest one built has had to be removed for complete replacement turbines 5 years after it was built and hasn’t generated any power for nearly 9 months now. You really couldn’t make thus s**t up, although that doesn’t stop the net zero nutters continually lying and mis representing the true costs of this insanity😡🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

    I wonder how much the power drops in all these separate cables from all the separate turbines as opposed to the power being generated in just one place as a power station. (All electrical cables have electrical resistance, albeit it small. This means that a small amount of power is lost between one end of the cable and the other. The power is lost as heat in the cables. Power loss costs energy.)

So you buy clean/green electricity that's fossil generated. Also if you watch Guy Martin deeside power station on RUclips 4 minutes in you will see that for every watt of clean/green is backed up by fossil that's wasted.

    all wind is gas power. A gas turbine can ramp up and down rapidly to cope with fluctuating load. If you supplement that power with wind turbines, it just counts as slackening the load on the gas turbine, therefore less gas is used.
    If you really want to get wound up, look into the nodding donkey wave power. Study done in the 80's lied and said it'd be more expensive than nuclear. We'll never know now.

      What is happening now, the destruction & decivilisation of The West, was already planned in the 1980s (in fact much earlier than that, which is why things have never got better).
      The corrupt actors, the grit in the national gearbox, were working on disinvestment in heavy industries first. They succeeded by the early 1990s, after which U.K. hadn’t the ability to make machine tools any more. A manufacturing nation begins to wither and die from that point.
      All the while, others were ensuring that the cost of electricity would make even assembly manufacturing unprofitable.
      The end comes quickly when you’ve to import an ever increasing proportion of your needs and are more & more reliant upon invisibles for foreign exchange earnings (financial services and insurance). Those who control those flows can bankrupt a nation so positioned, at will. That’s us.
      From massive national net exporters of everything the world needed to dependent, end game, death row inmates in well under a century. All by design and as arranged by traitors who will step away just before self immolation reaches its crescendo.

    Move a few portable Bitcoin mining containers to the area,. Produce as much power as you want and mine Bitcoin with excess power. Problem solved, but no we obviously can't do that because Bitcoin is bad for the environment.

    • @GT380man
      @GT380man 9 дней назад

      Bitcoin is run by the CIA or other spook entities with the intention of
      1. Restricting the rise in the gold price as people lose confidence in sovereign currencies.
      2. Get people used,not only to digital currencies (DCs) but decentralised DCs. Obviously most people don’t realise that they’ve been using Bank Digital Currencies (BDCs) for decades.
      3. After the next crisis, which will see the bankruptcy of all banks, the seizure of deposits during the planned bail-ins, and the deletion of Sterling bank notes (paper money), the privately owned Bank of England will roll out CBDCs. Bitcoin at that point will be rendered illegal and there’ll be no cash equivalent of anything.
      4. Total, or rather, totalitarian control.
