Thank you for this very helpful video. However, I have no idea what speaker upgrade would work. If you test the 2 black wires that connect to the (woofer) speaker, both have positive voltage. The 2 wires are NOT positive and negative like other "normal" speaker wires that connect to a woofer. But I was able to upgrade the tweeters on my Defender since they have both a positive and negative wire.
Just got a '22 110 and the arm rest on the passenger side creaks and moans whenever I have my arm on it. I think I'm going to pull it off and see if there's anything that can be done to resolve that. Maybe some diaelectric grease on some of the mating surfaces?
With the speaker removed would it be possible to remove the broken glass from the recently smashed window? Auto Windscreens were at a loss and said they couldn't remove it!
@@L663 It does come off a bit further, but u need to watch for a cable clip deep in behind the centre of the panel. Managed to get 99% of the broken glass out though.
Could you let me know the official name and part number for spring clip? I can not find or search that clip for genuine part for land rover part number...
@@L663 …and the clips rusted which rusted the door as they scraped the paint off. Enjoy the vinyl peeling off in the Summer and going baggy never to fit properly again. Ah yes…memories of times gone by..and in this instance, thank goodness!!😎😎😎😎

A lot of thaught gone into that door construction. Great help for anyone needing to strip it down.👌
Its a well thought out design. I do like the design of the door with the exposed metal / exposed fixings etc

Simon will you ever remove and upgrade the subwoofer from the defender. cant seem to find any follow up videos to this one. is there a part 2??

I can't believe the speakers look very cheap in a car for so much money, the fiat doblo has the same

Just my opinion, the meridian speakers are very poor so i would be looking elsewhere for upgrades.
