Thanks so much for this content! It's very helpful. After checking the signal coming from the subwoofer wires are they the ones you decided to run to the amplifier? Can you tell me which was (pos) and which was (neg)? Thank you!
Great content. There are no shops here in Toronto that have done an audio upgrade on the new Defender. Which wires from the oem subwoofer did you use for the audio signal for the aftermarket amp/subwoofer?
Great video and will be very helpful. Did you run the stock subwoofer wires (after making the plug) to the speaker level inputs on the amplifier? Which color was (pos) and which was (neg) Thank you!!!
Thanks for your comment, this was a speaker swap only (no amp) I can send you a picture of the speaker with the plug if that would help. Send us a text or email at (773)489-7469 / showtimeaudio2@gmail.com
That would be very helpful! I may call tomorrow if I have time. I didn't realize that the wattage and resistance from the factory amp would be sufficient to drive an aftermarket sub. I'd love to see what you chose as a replacement. Pictures please!!
Replacing the speakers. Are you going to install a separate amp to run them or use the factory amp? I have the 700W system and I’m considering doing the deadening and would possibly do speakers at the same time.
Hello Matt! in this vehicle we just replaced the speakers and deadening. We didn't have to change the factory Amp, If you have any questions please feel free to call or text (773)489-7469
Was the signal to the underseat subwoofer full range or does the factory amp filter this to only send it low frequencies? Was thinking about adding a 10inch underseat active subwoofer here and taking the signal going into the 6x9?
What is the size of the speakers on the door ? 2 way
6-1/2" bi-amped component speaker

Thank you so much!

Very interesting. I have a 2022 Defender. Do you need to do anything with the signal processing?
