Yes, you should get the A/C fin straightener. Our old unit was very bent and one of the HVAC techs I work with said it will make a big difference once you open them up. Also, he said don't be afraid of using a little force to straighten them out.

Man that’s excellent advice. Thank you bro. I’m ordering a fin straightener right now.

You also want to check the air filter inside the house. Make sure to turn the power off to the air conditioner outside to play it safe. Another thing to note is that it has room to breathe around the conditioner. Great tips Mike 🍻

Awesome additional info brother. That’s right, change that inside air filter regularly. Best to play it safe and throw the breaker because someone in the house could turn it back on. Thank you 🤙🏼👊🏼

using acid to clean your coil soon will also replace the entire condenser unit due to acid eating up the cooling aluminum coil. leaving the acid on the coil for 3o minutes is a long time to deteriorate the aluminum 2x faster.

Hmmmm. Ok I respect that opinion and will take it into consideration. But honestly don’t know how else to clean it. Or if there was a way to prevent it from getting dirty to begin with. That would be great too. If you or anyone else has any suggestions then I’m all ears. Thanks.

I tell u what many years ago I'm talking like 80s 90s those hvac guys acid was all they used to clean coils and I mean it will shine those coils.

I agree. The first time I needed mine clean after we moved in, I called a local HVAC company and they came out and I stood over their shoulder and watch them remove panels and the acid they went and sit in their truck for a while then came back and rinsed it. 👍🏼

@@LivinWith3M I think it was called aluminum brightener and they would delute it with water and those coils would shine like chrome wheels but nowadays stuff isn't made to last like back then unfortunately 😕.
