Throughout the evening of 10-10-24 and throughout the morning of 10-11-24, the water of the Anclote River began to rise rapidly. Water flowed through neighborhoods, apartment complexes, and over roadways. Prompting people to abandon their vehicles and houses to evacuate. Swift water rescue teams from local, state agencies and national guard units performed numerous rescues throughout Pasco County.

I was living off State Rd. 52. I wonder if the farm land in Shady Hills got flooded? I feel so badly for all the people in Florida. Thank you for showing Pasco County. My daughter ❤️ 💕 lives in Zypherhills. They didn't have any flooding, thank God. Prayers for N. Carolina and Tennessee!

FYI this is the intersection of SR 54 and Rowan in New Port Richey. At 6:20 that’s Trouble Creek and Old Mill Pond Dr

My father built a beautiful home at 1309 South Lake Shore Drive, Sarasota Florida. We moved back to Colorado in 1973. Hope it is still standing.

The Netherlands offered help as they see this destruction year after year . One state /Mayor (think NJ) took the offer. Since the 60s they built up water management. Research how they built to save life's , homes, businesses . We are so behind .. its very sad.

The cow pastures and woods have a foot of water standing. It'll take a week or two to find it's way to the rivers and creeks to drain off the water.

This is happening pretty regular at this intersection. This could be fixed. Pasco is a red county. Officials are more concerned with opening new sub divisions to the east, than fixing infrastructure in established neighborhoods.

So it turns out that mother nature reigns supreme and gave Floridians a gentle reminder of their fragile existence in a swamp. They may want to reconsider living in a swamp or truly consider different types of structures. Mitigation of climate change will be crucial.

What kills me about Florida roads is that there is no water management. They dig ditches out of dirt🤷. Only works for normal rain but barely at times on certain roads. They have no infrastructure what so ever
