Heard this in Food Lion, Amazing song
Just as I'm think how I can't believe this video is already ten years old the lyric "these moments they can never last" echoes my nostalgia
I read your comment exactly when this line was sung
more people should know about this song :( guster should be more popular too
+Negin K
Correct - but they are not satanic sellouts which is what you MUST be to achieve the status that mainstream, untalented musicians reach.
Before you roll your eyes, look into it - do your research.
These guys aren't going around putting 666 "ok" signs around their eyes or flashing the devil horns, etc.
Sounds effed up, but that's how it works. It's even worse in Hollywood - MUCH WORSE, than most fans can possibly imagine.
You sell your soul for fame.
omg i hear this song everyday at work. . i finally remembered to look it up. . i must say it's 10 times more amazing when you're not having to talk to customers and ring up food.
My first concert was Guster, It was only two years ago, but what the hell. It changed my life. My favorite band ever. I also live in Baltimore. :)
i saw this music video years and years ago and this little dude haunts me
Safety Not Guaranteed brought me here... awesome song and awesome movie too!!!! :)
Interesting sound.
Guster has got some lustre.
THESE GUYS ARE SUCH A GREAT BAND!!! There always spot on live too!!
god what on earth is that thing i love it
One of the best bands of today. Shoutout from a fellow Baltimorean!
10 years allready
Safety Not Guaranteed was an awesome movie with an equally awesome sound track
"Safety Not Guaranteed" is one the best films of 2012!
i work at Lowe's and this fucking song plays EVERYDAY....and it never gets old :)
Maybe it's just a thing. But bands I care about I buy the CDs or even the vinyl.
Some artists put so much love and hard work into the booklet, artwork and stuff that comes with the real CD that I just feel bad to just download it.
By buying the CD/vinyl I show appreciation to their effort. With this 'system' I have a pretty nice collection of CDs by now.
Afterwards I obviously load them onto my computer to listen to them freely all the time without getting the CD from the shelf.
Agreed! And it made it into my list of my all time favorites!
Guster is an amazing band. Very chill and laid back. The drummer uses his hands like a bongo. The two guitarists rip the guitar with all sorts of unique chord progressions, they use capos, they both sing in most of their songs. like sing seperate parts. Its pretty cool. Their from Boston. And their old music is dope.
I'm agree totally with you... movie is wonderfull and songs were very well choosen
I hear that. It's part of the Hot 100 retail list thingy that stores play. I, too, hear this everyday and it's one of a handful of songs I actually like
Ha, I heard it at work as well! ... and now I will not be able to get this music video out of my head.
Safety Not Guaranteed brought me here.
Thanks Publix Radio!
I work at Albertson's, but I have heard the same track list at several different retailers and even a few restaurants.
This is for my daughter: Godspeed!!!!!
Dig the video. Fell in love with the song the second I heard it when EW came out.
Awesome song, great melody to it, too! Wonderful movie. Keep them coming like this. Loved it!!!
ive just listened to this song like 10 times, and yet i still cant stop wanting to listen to it, LOVING this song, suck a good song
I love Singalong Paul!!!!!
i feel a need to protect him from all danger. i hope for happiness for him. we stan this singer.
idk were i heard this song but it's sick.
More like 2022. Great song! Future Perfect!
Woo hoo!! Sing shout and dance!!! Why it's called Architects and Engineers; only they know :-)
Wow...sound is back! :) Now I'm happy!
Brilliant.
This better be on iTunes!!!
Thanks for the upload, bro.
Heard this for the first time back when I was 8...I'm almost 14 now and it sounds amazing still 💖
im almost 15 now lol
Good taste young sir, good taste, from a 35 year old
If my life were a movie this song would be in the soundtrack.
sooo artistic.
Thanks ;) I'm not a native speaker but I live in the U.S and a double negative is not unusually here ;) And I heard native speakers say it like that. So it can't be that wrong.
I think it just gives utterance to a negation.
@jamesboy119 Hey guess what. These videos are exactly from the same director ;)
The pupped is called Singalong Paul. He also appears in Radiohead - You and whose army, Alan Arkin - I like you, The Black Keys - Too afraid to love you and of course Foals - 2 trees. Check em out.
And please check also the directors site! (link in the description)
He's a great guy who worked for fantastic musicians. e.g The Shins, Dntel, Zero 7, Arcade Fire and he made the Satellite video for Guster.
Fair point. On the other hand, how easy is it to find an eight-track player these days? For that matter, I don't actually have a CD player in my 2012 car, which is fully loaded (not to brag, it's not a fantastic fast car or anything, but it has modern technology).
Files are a digital medium and they'll last as long as computers exist. I can relate, though, since I have this great box of CDs from my teenage years. Even though some of the CDs are scratched or missing, I'll treasure them.
haha yea... same... one of the few good songs at CVS (though they have the same playlists for a lot of stores)
I sing this song at work!!
goooood stuff
good stuff
Another thing is: I can't see my self browsing through my mp3s in 20 years to look what I've listened to back in the days. But I would do so with my CD/vinyl collection.
Apart from this I guess the mp3s wouldn't be there anymore due to HDD dying or other type of memory loss.
that thing is what nightmares come from
Exactly.
I much prefer a physical CD too, didn't spot that on Amazon, cheers! :D
I prefer physical discs as well but I've kind of given up because I'm impatient and I don't want to have to wait on Amazon so I just go to iTunes usually.
Heard this song at my old job
lol they play this song at my job too and it has grown on me
working 3rd shift at Bi-Lo, i hear this song everynight, but it's the only one that i actually lilke lol
@IndependentPresident "don't need no reason" means he actually does need a reason, it would have been proper to say, "You don't need a reason" you are welcome for my small nugget of information :)
:) my other publix jam!
At first I didn't realize the thing hanging vertically from his side was his arm being pulled up by balloons.
I thought it was like a noose o.o
Where ya'll working?! :D
sounds like i have heard it before from somewhere idk where?
@IndependentPresident oh ok sweet thanks man haha also i was gonna ask you are into techno or like house or anything like that??
heyyyy they took that puppet from faols music video 2 trees
i feel like i like this because my dad is an architect and my mom is an engineer :P
Oddly enough, I literally live on the 2nd floor of an old row house in baltimore and love this song but the reality is, once you leave that awesome space in baltimore, it's nothing but panhandling black people.....
true
i think of my pit bull Duke when i watch this... my face against window! Lol
as would mine XD plus i live in Baltimore
There is no better way to start a cd off than this song, maybe Annie Waits by Ben Folds
I can't tell why, but this video is the only one of my uploaded Guster videos that is still available. The others got shut down at like 2k views. And is there another "Architects and Engineers" official online? couldn't find one.
Fuckin' love this! :DDDD
@icecubedynasty real estate?
reminds me of the neverhood
What's original about buying a CD? :D there's certainly nothing convenient about it. It's cool to have the liners &c, but that's a novelty that wears off within minutes. Maybe I'm just not sentimental enough.
I bought rights to the digital version from amazon. I can download the CD as many times as I want or listen to it on my cloud player anywhere that I have an internet connection. At the end of the day all I care about is a) supporting the artist and b) being able to listen to the music.
And I'm also referring to Pink Floyds 'another brick in the wall'. ;)
@aleccMedia You don't need no reason. ;)
this is a great video! i just feel like the faces match the song
low budget music video that a high school student could pay for.
WTF !!!! Okay good ,you made it for a thing not free ;)
Look like the baby from Eraserhead.
@jamesboy119
Hey....a puppet's gotta work...
Great sound ! I've just posted a song that I'm happy to share. You can find it by copying-pasting *"When I have fears that I may cease to be (part 1) - Nikö Laetailleurs"* in the youtube search bar. Hoping you'll find some good vibrations...
Scroll down in the comments ;)
Duh, the puppet ~IS~ a ripoff OR maybe they never saw 2 trees and it's all a big happy-hugsy coincidence.
I'm an engineer. Should I be insulted? Great song nonetheless.
kinda depressing. but hopeful
Why download, when you can get it physically? I hate the download crap. Be original, buy the CD. ;)

2 people aren't architects or engineers
scary puppet. scarier than the one in interpol's 'evil' video. which is a tough ask. i'd like to burn this one with petrol its that creepy.
heyyy they stole that puppet from foals music video 2 trees look it up
thumbs up if im right cause they look alike o_O'
love the song, hate the video
Get off my video!
I would be very, very careful with such statements. Especially with Leo Sayer and David Bowie in your favourites...
GAyest video, gayest song of the decade.
