That was me!!! I was an alternate for a burglary case. I thought he definitely guilty and they came back with a verdict of innocent! What!! Oh well 🤷🏻♀️
Great story Vinnie, Ive served on 3 juries one was a Grand Jury every Thursday for 8 weeks. Grand Jury was my least favorite, 1) we have way too many deviant people 2) too much drugs in this country.
Loved the video Vinnie! I was on a malpractice Jury a few years back and same, the person got nothing, I was the only Juror who felt she deserved restitution and it doesn't need to be unanimous in my State. I was so disappointed for the person, I felt she was legally deserving of something. I guess you never know.
I have a criminal justice degree and have always wanted to experience being a juror. Now, I'm a bit too old and wouldn't be able to sit in a chair that long. I'm happy for you. 🌻😎
You'll be great! My Dad always wanted to be on a jury (he was a church pastor) and never got called. My Mom served several times. I served twice for a Magistrate's Court. It is an interesting experience for sure. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. (Jane)
I am so glad you went to jury duty! We have government for the people and by the people!! we don’t live in a country like Russia, China or Iran, where you can be arrested and thrown in jail on fake charges.. and where you won’t be released until some crazy ruler decides you can go home. People need to appreciate what we have in this country then they wouldn’t try to get out of jury duty.
(Spoiler ‼️) Compelling account! Wow I’m amazed you got picked at all! Wish you had gotten on a high profile murder trial though! Would have been fascinating to hear your thoughts and insights from the deliberations! Maybe next time?!
But you know what. Let’s say you are a surgeon. the fingers might not look like normal fingers after the trauma. And you only have a short period of time to get every nerve and artery sown back together in order to save this guys fingers. So the surgeon probably really wanted him to have a good outcome and did restore the two most important fingers, my question would be how much functionality did the man have? Because if the two fingers were transposed, but they worked just as well as normal fingers. Then I think he should be grateful that the surgeon sewed them back on.
I havent been called for jury duty simce 2008 it was a sad case of murder of a child 18 months by mother. And at that time i was so desperate to have a child and dodnt know i was pregnant at that time and ehen filling out the questionare they came in and said she pleas guilty. I dont know how i would of handled that but id like to be called again

Where I live, you just need to be registered to vote. Then that puts you in the juror pool.
I did jury duty, I did enjoy it! It was a malpractice case years ago.

Hmmm, you only had Eleven jurors in the animation!!?
I went to jury duty once in 2019 and I wanted to be picked because it was a woman pimp, human trafficking case.
fun!!
How do you fingers get put on wrong and you don't get some money? That is crazy!
