A quick "pro tip" for anyone renting a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox (or its GMC equivalent): The headlight controls are in the infotainment center; I repeat - they moved the headlight controls into the infotainment center. Tap on the icon at the top of the home screen, then tap on the "more controls" button. You can set the headlights to Auto/On/Off, the auto high beams to On/Off, as well as the foglights and even the damn dome light - which is 💯a stupid idea. Bonus tip: The hazard flasher button is now above your head where the OnStar buttons hang out. Vaya Con Dios. Technology, my butt.
That's pretty crazy that they removed the physical buttons or controls for the headlights. From what I understand the law is that the hazard flashers button must be a physical button so that one can never go away! I really do think we are at peak screen for everything now and hopefully real buttons and controls start to make a comeback. I think everyone has had enough of everything being on the screens.
Really nice video!! Actually I am planning to go for am west coast trip on next may. I was always curious that which car will I get for the rental, so I watched most of your recent videos of west coast rentals. However, can I ask you one thing about it? Since I don't live in US, I don't know about the situation there very much. I booked a car at Hertz for pickup truck. I will pick up the car at Las Vegas airport. Is the pickup trucks on rental companies (especially Hertz) old models and lower grade? (For example, is it old and low grade as Ford F150 2015 XL?) I am trying to find as much information I can but I definitely think that you may know about these day's cars. Thank you very much.
Most of them will be 2023 and newer, for F150 I've seen XLT and Platinum trims, just don't take a Ram 1500 Classic, the classics are basically old and base models but built recently using the old ram exterior.
@@seunghwanhong4764 Yes! just ask nicely for any other options, but also be careful that they might try to sell you "upgrade" and charge you more. What I do is I go into the garage first and see if there is a car that I like that's in my reservation category, in your case it will be F150, Silverado 1500, Ram 1500, and note down the parking spot number. Then go back to the counter and ask them if you can take that car. It worked for me everytime
Would be nice to something like this at SAN (San Diego) Airport. Never seen those SUVs within Emerald or Executive aisles over there.

@ Thank you! By the way, if the rental car give me the old car such as Ram 1500 Classic, is it possible to refuse and ask for newer vehicle?
