Солисткой группы является Ольга Де Соуза, которая родилась в Рио-Де-Жанейро, и дружила со знаменитым футболистом Pele, который рассказал ей о красоте Италии, в которую девушка заочно влюбилась по его рассказам. Италия оказалась той страной, в которой девушка решила поселиться, и именно там, ее нашел продюсер группы Corona Bontempi Francesco. Первая песня девушки в составе группы вышла в 1993 году, и принесла невероятный успех. В 1995 году, в Италии был записан альбом, открывший дискографию, на тот момент уже успешной и популярной группы.
Corona is an Italian dance group, fronted by Brazilian performer and singer Olga Souza. Originally produced by Francesco Bontempi (also known as Checco and Lee Marrow), it found success in 1993 with the worldwide hits ”The Rhythm of the Night” and “Baby Baby”.

@@festamegarevival The singer is British and her name is Sandy Chambers. She sang all of Corona's songs except The "Rhythm of the Night" which was sung by an Italian singer named Jenny B. The Brazilian girl in the video didn't sing anything, she was used to be in the videos and lip-sync in the performances. I can't believe that no one knows this and it's been more than 25 years since the debut of this band.
Why did they do that? And why did Olga get all the credit?
@@gav1233 I assume that Jenny B wasn't considered marketable enough because she had a voluptuous body and perhaps she wasn't as conventionally beautiful as Olga. Jenny had already lent her voice to other music projects which had showed other random pretty girls in the videos. It's such a shame. Olga was a model, she was tall, thin and she could dance a bit so the management behind the music project Corona chose her as the "playback girl image". Despite the enormous success of the first single Jenny B refused to sing the rest of the album so they picked Sandy Chambers after several auditions to sing the other singles and album tracks.
