I don’t know. But this song always gets me. I fell in love with a beautiful boy named Rock on the dance floor while dancing to this song in 2000. We had such wonderful, and very passionate time. But it wasn’t meant to be and every time I hear this, I wonder where he is and how he is doing. I really thought he was going to be the love of my life and I fell head over heels for him. Every time I hear this song brings me back to that October night. 😥🥺

As a collective lets keep listening to high vibrational music. People yall got this. Im with yall forever. Energy never dies. Turn the news off. Infinite Love. Always read the energy. Let positive energy guide you. Stay consistently in the high vibrational time line.
It amazes me how this song manages to sound happy and sad at the same time, and i'm not necessarily talking about the nostalgia, but about the song structure itself and it's melody - more precisely, the lead melody. The way the notes are put together in this section is interesting because you only get the full picture when all notes are present. Before that (00:00 to 00:30), the G minor scale progresses as it should on a typical trance/eurodance track (by that i mean "rapid arpeggiated sequences"), but then the final notes are added and the melody goes down, like reeeally down, and you get yourself in this weird position where you don't really know if you're supposed to follow the lead keys or the background synths. That along with the vague subjective vocals ("do you think you're better off alone?"; "talk to me") create this unique and strange atmosphere of melancholy. If this song was composed with a different background sound, it would be a depressing, negative vibe song, and this is proven by Salem's and Mr. Kitty's cover of it.
The song was initially just an instrumental. While he was remastering the song, he was humming the vocal line to himself; he just broke up with his romantic partner... and tbh this song is the most accurate when it comes to capturing that melancholic, empty, forlorn feeling when you're all raw and messed up on the inside. It's an "upbeat" song, but the colors are all muted and gray and things go by too fast and too slow and you just sort of wanna fade away into routine and not feel anything anymore.
Wutaii1 Nostalgia I remember laying on a couch at a friends house after dropping two pills, all my friends had left to go get glow sticks and everything else needed for a good night. Then this song came on and it was the very first time hearing it, I was literally alone tripping to this song, it was a spiritual experience
Maybe it is because the world has gone to shits! with wars, social media, and working 8+ hours a day to survive, etc.... back in the days, life was so simple to the point where anyone could just let go and express their true inner self. I'm glad I had the chance to live in that era 🙌 🙏🏼

Is A Night At the Roxbury a good representation of this era?
Me to
i wish i lived in the 90s :( i was born in 2010, sad but oh well cause this is like the only music my dad listens o and i love it :D (ignore my name)
This is nostalgia ❤
memes aside, this song is representation of the golden era of EDM
Oh yeah the late 90s early to mid-2000s or the Golden Age of EDM
Yeah my parents use to always listen to this kind of music 🎵
Milk
imo old EDM/Trance is better
Trance music was a gift from the gods lmao. It is now a hidden gem
This song is one of those songs you’ll remember the beat but won’t remember the songs name. 😭
The funny part about it Is there are only like 10 words in the whole song and “better off alone” is said over and over lol but I couldn’t remember the name of the song either lol
@@anthonykiser5421 deadass 😂😂
@@anthonykiser5421 I honestly do not recall there ever being lyrics at all. I thought it was just an instrumental.
@@anthonykiser5421 I remembered more the instrumental, not the woman's voice
