She is the most stunning and talented actress today. When the lens has her in its sights, you just watch. That's presence and not many actors have that quality.
I think I can tell from her face that she has multiple layers of personality and would be perfect for the role, in a good way possible(this is a compliment)
Well, if your colleague is anything like the husband from the movie, who was a hateful, pathetic excuse of a man, then yeah, the marriage is/was most likely fucked up in a big way😂
Drew Hendley. If I had not found your comment, I would have commented this. It seems almost like people do not get or know the reference: 1944 with the wonderful Miss Judy Garland😌
As for Fincher "zoning in on people", it hasn't always been the case. As much as he knew Rooney Mara was going to be special after witnessing her performance in 'Social Network', he wasn't convinced she could pull off "Lisbeth Salander" in 'Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'. He saw several actresses for auditions but in the end of pre-production, Rooney Mara proved she was the best choice.
Could she not just tell him she was working and in another country? Then they could call initially and arrange a meeting when she doesn't have a 6:30 call time again, in another country.
Nope. As she explained, she knew this was going to be a defining moment in her acting career and wasn't going to risk the dream chance of working with Fincher. Even Ben Affleck postponed directing his film 'Live by Night' so he could work with the master.
She gave one of the greatest performances from an actress ive ever seen. David really is a genius if he instantly knew that about her
It was the response to the “I don’t know how you knew that”
She was robbed of the Oscar for that movie.
This guy is an amazing one on one interviewer
A fact I wish I could find an effective way of advertising
I couldn't believe what I saw watching the film. She is amazing!

Good on Rosamund Pike for having ambition and for making sure the moment didn't pass her by.
I just love Rosamund Pike so much, her acting skill is so on point, her personality is down to earth and she seems to be a kind person for me.
What an underated amazing actress
"Meet me in St Louis" - Hilarious.
a real beauty...and talented...freaked me out totally in gone girl...
I think I can tell from her face that she has multiple layers of personality and would be perfect for the role, in a good way possible(this is a compliment)
Oh, I LIKE Rosamund Pike. She is really something. You can smell her depth and intelligence.
I still remember her as sort of a floozy in An Education. A *very* different role indeed.
I had a colleague, who compared his wife to the character from "gone girl". what's when I knew, his marriage is fucked up in a big way.

Completely appreciate her work
THAT IS SO TRUE
I wish these 2 would work together again
wait so david fincher had rosamund pike meet him in st. louis to give her the part ? how cinematic
Pre-production offices were set up on location there.
Meet me in St. Louis how poetic

Gillian Flynn is an *amazing* writer. Unafraid to create *thoroughly* unlikable female characters, which is a rarity.
Amy is unlikable? I love that character, I was rooting for her the first time I saw the film.
@@iheartdelrey well, then you’re just not very good at reading people.
@@SnailHatan Or maybe I just didn’t find her unlikable. I couldn’t stand Nick in the film.
@@SnailHatan believe it or not most people especially women didn’t find her unlikeable in fact they sided with her character
@@kenkennedy8719 Oh, have you talked to most people? Or taken a poll? Or read the reviews? You just made up a claim with zero evidence to back it up.

Fortune favors the bold
I do have to say she scares me a bit... proper on the outside and psycho ex on the inside vibe
Even your thumbnail bit scary in the eyes 😬

Had no idea she was British.
oR iS sHe?
I keep forgetting she’s British
THE FIRST RULE OF MEETING DAVID FINCHER...... YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT MEETING DAVID FINCHER!!!!! 🙄
i refuse to believe this woman is human.
Great actress very scary though
!!
Rosamund should get therapy if she feels this way. She has issues.
this is how women cheat
Paul Gaongalelwe. Aw, that sounds like you were hurt by quite a devious woman. So sorry for you😌
By the way, any idea how men cheat?🤔
@@IndomitableT same as her but less sophisticated and not as well thought out
go cry about it
Gone Girl taught me a new strategy. It's called Anti-Feminism. :D
??? Wtf does that even mean
There is no wrong way to watch movies but you're doing it wrong.
