Does the chrome bag jiggle a lot? Make noise well walking? We use car seat buckles in the fire service. They are robust and work great for first responders equipment.
A mini kadet I think would've made for a more direct comparison. As a cyclist, I do wish they carried over the stabilizer strap onto the mini version - I would've chosen the MK over the Metrorunner if it had that feature.
Yes, that's all true. When I was getting everything for that video I decided the 9L size of stuff was a little too big for the comparison and opted for most of the 6L-ish stuff.
Kadet was the first sling I ever got and it’s what got me into the world of carry… even tho Chrome did improve the internal organization a little, it still boggles my mind that after all this time, the Kadet has some of the most basic and/or least advanced organization… but as you’d put it it’s a bag you would live OUT OF rather than FROM because you’d use pouches and kits… 😝
A little hack from a fellow Kadet owner. The car visor-sized Cacoon Grid-it organizer fits PERFECT in the inner pocket. Tons of extra storage capabilities, it doesn't add any bulk to the bag, and it even works as a rigid divider between your items. I love to put cables, batteries, etc. in it since it's so easy to pull it out and toss it in a bin for TSA checks or another bag.
I love my vx metro runner. One of the best edc bags imo. And u forgot the small pockets on the bottom of the metro runner. I put eye drops and things of that nature in those small pockets. But yea one of the best almost $200 I’ve spent on a bag
What is your favorite all around outdoor backpack with the toughest materials I was thinking about the olive 2.0 unicorn but I can’t make my mind up and I don’t want to regret my purchase I own a Cerberus and love it but it’s my everyday pack I would like a nice 2 or 3 day pack that I can use for outdoor activities and not worry about it failing me.
Yep.I had and returned the Kadet before I bought the Insidious. It fits a 12.9" iPad Pro (snug) and I can also use it as a packing cube in a hard shell for use as an edc when I get to my destination, instead of an unstructured and uncomfortable packable backpack .

Is there alot of strap for bigger guys?
I don’t notice any noise from the buckle. And the straps are quite long.

good point
just wanna be sure... metrorunner is 6L and kadet is 9L? the metromonger is 9L so it would be a better comparison I think?

Haha, good stuff

Also, I wanted to know if you have had trouble with water getting in through the YKK 10 zippers?
I haven't had any trouble
The Metrorunner01 Prime is also offered in an EXP 400 material. What do you think about that material over the VX42?
All great materials and to be honest it's personal preference on the feel of the bag...they're all more than capable of being a long-time durable

Good point!
Did you get an additional shoulder strap on the Metro or is it standard?
Standard

I really like the EcoPak Evergoods stuff...but if you are focused on outdoor stuff then Mystery Ranch is the place. Radix maybe?
Found a Xpac MetroRunner on the secondary market… looking forward to it.
I had the Metromonger and found it to be way too large.
Nice!
Great video! FYI: The D-ring under the Chrome buckle can be used as a bottle opener.
Great tip! I forgot to mention that! 🤦🏼♂️
Greenroom136 is awesome! You should review their Northseeker backpack JB!
FWIW I looked at these two slings and went with the Kargo Loculus.
On the list! 👊🏻
Missed the bottom Velcro pockets in the MetroRunner for your MARTA Breeze card 😊
Doh!! You’re right! 🤦🏼♂️
The green room, oh did I mention the green room Yes definitely the green room The green room takes the cake❤
I agree
I have an insidious and a loculus so i have those sizes covered. Was eyeing a metromonger though.
Good choices!
I also went for the loculus. Like the inside pockets better. Also the vx comes with water resistant zippers.
All right no more going to the gym I just grabbed my sling😂
👊🏻
No but it's about 50 lb lighter than that other buckle😂
😜
Can you fit a full sized iPad in the Kadet?
Yes you can. The mid-sized 12" iPad
Jb , i am from malaysia, i am your fans 🔥🔥🔥
Nice!! Thanks for watching! 👊🏻
I think I would just keep my lock mounted on the bike personally😅
I can see that
Had a Kadet, prefer Defy Insidious.
Lots of Insidious talk…may have to do another look
Kargo loculus wants to enter the ring.
It’s a deep rabbit hole!
The winner is Chimera sling I got today 😂
Nice!!
Defy insidious would like a word
Haha, yes!
