I made this Last year, I drained water from vegetables by adding salt and put in strainer for 2/3 hours. And I boiled vinegar, water and, sugar and put vegetables and dill leaves in hot syrup. No cooking. It styed in fridge for more than a year and styed fresh. Better than store.
In SE Asia - Singapore we salt the veg for 1/2 half and mix the sauce and it is ready to go! And add pineapple and any veg like french beans or cabbage too
I made this today, adjusted the ingredients according to my taste, turned out awesome. Thanks for the wonderful recipe as it complimented my home made shawarma and hummus very well.
@@vandanajadhav7241Just skip the sugar and use himalayan salt. You can add spices though. Roasted cumin, red chilly powder, black pepper powder, hing, mustard powder etc. You can also drink the water as digestive potion after meals.

Cucumbers, carrots, fresh chillies + water, sugar, salt, white vinegar. Put water, sugar & salt to boil. Add sliced chillies. Stir to combine. When full fully boiled turn off heat. Add cucumber & carrots. Pour in the white vinegar. Mix.

Vinegar is good, if you use lemon then you need to use more salt, which is not good for our health

Did you put all the liquid in the jar along with the vegetables.
