Common is Hip-Hop ROYALTY
Common’s “BE” album is one of my favorite albums of all time.
Facts
I agree. That album is also some of my favorite Kanye production
That album is organic… realest title, realest content, great lyrics, superb production and it sounded like Com and Ye had fun making it.. 🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤
Like Water for Chocolate is his masterpiece. Some of the greatest J Dilla production ever on that album.
@@hugh-jasole I feel you. I love Dilla's production on that album as well. Honestly I feel Be as a whole was dope! Every track sounds like it has the same parents, like siblings. I don't skip any tracks when I listen to Be
Like water for chocolate is my favorite Common album.
he's got a lot of good ones, Resurrection is probably my favorite and then Be. but that august Greene project is great too! 👍🏼
Been my fave since I was 7 😊😊😊
This podcast so good. Melo just cool af and Mero is comedy. Best NBA podcast out right now
I just subbed, its definitely a vibe😎.
Yup yup
Best pod! They balance each other so well.
Common was the best guest Melo has had on so far -- if you notice in the beginning Common was very engaged and inquisitive almost interviewing Melo himself
That Kiss interview was incredible. The hip hop and basketball connection is a perfect balance.🤌🏾
He loves the game and also stays ready. That’s Southside Chi.
Most of them good. The Rudy Gay one was funny as hell.
@@odogg6899I think that’s been my favorite so far…
This is dope, I don’t care what anyone say Electric Circus was one of my favorite Common albums.
J Dilla RIP experience
Agreed 💯
You said one of...
I Am Music is an incredible song.
@@StLaRok that song is ragtime and jazz
Gratitude for sharing.
My top 5 alive ; Nas, Black Thought, Common, Lupe and Andre 3K.
Nice Line Up King
That's peace

Much love to Common for always reppin’ the Chi, legend in the game 👏🏼
Melo definitely the fabulous of basketball gold medals(mixtapes) no rings but one of the greatest of all time
Wow... that's a good comparison
That’s a fact wild nice
Carmelo asks questions like in true conversation form....great podcast...
Mero a real 1 for mentioning St. Louis
Real OG Denver fans will always welcome Melo with open arms. We still got our printed nuggets jerseys from Walmart when u were playing here. Happy to hear you will be around for support soon. Even tho I'm a nuggets fan, my favorite version of Melo was the 00MELO. Man was a killer with a mission to find peace.
I'll never forget that Denver team, dem niggas was gangstas 😳💪🏾😅
As a blazer fan.. 1000 percent. I was super hyped to hear the meaning behind double 0 a couple weeks ago on the marbury episode. Salute!
Bro said Obama got that Cam Payne jumper 😂🤣😂🤣
A excellent South Side Representative
Still can't believe I was called to meet common backstage at a show here in the Philly area. Real humble dude, it was like meeting a family member. Even shouted me out during the show, it was crazy....

Big salute to Common one of the goats of this rap shit
I remember seeing the Electric Circus tour with Common, Floetry, and Gangstarr in Cleveland. So dope
This one is awesome. This interview came off so natural. Lol the story of the white house and the elbows and screens.
I love and respect the ppl yall bring on. I haven't missed an episode yet. But while we are talking about music, it's time to give some love to a rapper, who I feel people are sleeping on is DON TRIP out of Memphis. Would be cool if yall brought him on the show.
Again mad Respect for the show and yall keep up the GREAT WORK!
Dope ass show!!
Love Common!!
Chi-Town Represent!!

Preme bless u wit an absolutely gem! And u banged that oop, Com + Bilal on the hook... GOODLAWD 🔥 🎤🎙️ 🎶. That whole album knock in 2G
Common was dope in John Wick. I was routing for Common lol
One o the dopest 🎙️💎✊🏼
Dudes Pete can speak for himself. Music you can feel. Classic original and authentic there ain't hip hop without people like him who carried the legacy it cant be understated the impact he has made without dudes like him and common kings of their eras we wouldnt have the progression we have today. I dont know the history but you dudes lived and experienced it.
Common a great podder
This shit is greatness! I'm busting up at work!
I'm calling it this is going to be a classic!
My FAVORITE MC AND My FAVORITE PLAYER .. RESPECT
Gotta get Bubba Chuck on there y'all. Gud interview 💪💯
Not Chucky Atkins! 😂
Com is a legend. He in my personal top 10 all time
Interview is dope, there's a lot I want to comment on, but all I'll say for now is "Black America, Again" is one of my favorite Common albums.
1:22:34 Melo was smacked!! Dying laughing at mero 😂😂😂😂
Got the chance to meet Common & spit a 16 for him in DC a couple months ago during his recent book release. Mad genuine dude & super down to earth 🙏🏽
Mero lookn like you on that mounjaro. Either way u slimming down kid. Big ups to you and Melo rockin out on this Pod #1
I swear So Far To Go is one of them ones for me where it sounds so poetic even though its about bumping uglies

Man between this and Victory Light, Mero is back brolic! Love Common, the first albums I ever bought were Be and Late Registration, him as Gil Scott makes too much sense!
This is funny brody said chucky Atkins 😂 🤣 😆 I'm dead
Common we need that mixtape! The Kanye beats you passed on. That would be legendary.
Common a FAMU Great!
When y’all gonna get Kenny Anderson to come do the podcast?
He killed it in Silo, sadly they missed that
Bron used to be at Pistons playoffs games when they played Orlando
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Salute to Melo and Mero!! Shoutout to Common!! You are appreciated!!
if you took away all the spectacle that is part of being a big hip hop artist (or artist in general), Common would be consistently among the top of any major media lists. My favorite song of his is "Come Close" ft Lauryn Hill
I definitely forgot Melo was starring in the Be video. That song is the theme music to my journey as a black father in this urban jungle.
Melo’s rapper comp is definitely Kiss. Never been #1 in the media but always debatable in the hood
Common is a cool dude. I tried to just say what’s up as he was walking. Kindly responded to my appreciation of his craft & was later mobbed a block down in Manhattan. Chill brother.
Mero opening that Sprite can sounded too clean 😭
Yoooo! Lonnie Rasheed, don't give away ALL the secrets fam🤣
30:57 “IMMA FIGHT TO KILL, IMMA GO AT YOU JOHN WICK SYLE”‼️‼️ & TOO HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN IN THE MOVIE IS CRAZY!!!!!! What a call back. THERE WAS TOOOO MUCH CHEMISTRY HERE.
So 40:07 basically this next album bout to hard as fuck
I thought this would premiere 7 pm in Brooklyn
Why would you ever think that?
Say B stfu and enjoy the shit
Quick Question : where does Melo get his NY hats from?
Mero wearing that classic Sixers logo
Rapper comp for melo is Lloyd Banks. Was by far the best rapper around in his era, never got enough credit, never achieved what he shud have, but real ones know.
Nah Banks was never the best rapper in his era, he was dope but not the best and Melo wasn’t the best in his era, that would of been Kobe and Bron(even tho Melo had a better rookie year)… all in all Melo was a superstar and was the man on his team, acgood rapper comp would be somebody like T.I., he had countless hits, was one of the highest selling, was the man in his city, had his own label and could actually rap his ass off but people memory gets fuzzy when it comes to T.I and what he did, the same way they’re doing Melo now.
How can you heard I wonder and go "im good". LOL.
FIIIIIIIIIIIIND YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE
Going from J kidd to chucky atkins is a wild demotion! More accurate tho hahah
The Legendary Mid-West G.O.A.T... his name is #Common 💯
COMMON AND PETE ROCK The Mecca and The Soul Brother 2.0
Melo is definitely mellowed out by his new weed strain lmao I know when someone is blasted and he is definitely without a doubt blasted af
Mello like Fab
1:30:53 FOH 10x 😂😂😂
Crazy how they ain’t mention the hoop state NC smh
Stephon Marbury was lit. And now this?! 🔥
this is hip hop
Stephon Marbury and Jamal Mashburn were the best high school basketball players in the 1990s in New York City.
Heard em say beat is crazy
(Chorus) “I don't expect you to be someone that you”re not...”
Chucky Atkins 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Chicago finest
Isiah Thomas was the only one I ever remember going to other teams playoff games.
