    Let's talk about asbestos and the BULL you may have to deal with while dealing with an asbestos insurance claim. Cutting ACM / RACM at a stud and butting new drywall up to it is a ridiculous practice and clearly one of the shadier attempts to underpay claims that I've ever seen.

    Going through this exact situation. Can you direct me toward the EPA guideline you mentioned?

      There is the EPA, and then there are state regulations. The State you are in may have specific guidelines for Residential work. Otherwise, the best thing to look for is the EPA "Purple Book"
