I really wanted to get into Dr. Who and was gonna watch the current season or most recent one (as of me making this comment) but my friends who watch the serious said it's just not worth it and that I should start with one of the past doctors instead. I shelved the idea tbh and one reason for that is I'm waiting to see where the series goes next. Will it continue to alienate the fanbase or save itself? I really hope it's the latter because Dr. Who has such a big presence in sci-fi that it would be sad, even for me who hasn't seen any of it, for it to just crumble away. Anyways, this book looks really great, I love the art!
Doctor Who has been made by different production teams, and with different writers and casts for nearly 60 years. With that, you have fans joining at different eras and deciding what their definitive version of the Doctor is. And to be fair, not every episode is a classic, but there is plenty to like...I liken it to Batman on screen. I really like Adam West and Christian Bale. The animated series Batman (Kevin Conroy) is my favorite rendition. I didn't like Ben Affleck at all, but that never made me think that Batman was finished in movies.
@@MattGarveyComics I am always happy to see people using fandom for something positive. And unfortunately there is a history of cancer, so this is a cause I am very supportive of.
