Hi Tim, not really. The upper is still pretty soft similar to other sneaker style shoes so many of these need to be toe coated. It really just depends upon your balance. If most of your weight is on your slider foot that reduces the need for toe coating. Unfortunately, this is not common among recreational curlers. I need toe coating on every shoe.
@@CurlingStore Thanks, I tried them on and the fit was not great and different between shoes. I ended up getting the Slams. Much better fit but of course more money.
I wonder if the synthetic upper reduces the need to toe dip?
