It's as if Mark knopfler goes to a concert not knowing who is playing and once there sitting in the crowd he sees himself on the stage . But after a few minutes ,the Mark Knopfler in the audience is spotted by the Mark Knopfler on stage ! Waw !At the end of the concert ,the Mark Knopfler of the audience gets on stage ,the security staff let him with no problem as they have recognised he was the star of the evening .They go together to a bar , and suddenly the Mark Knopfler of the audience receives a call . He is requested about what he's doing to which he answers : "Nothing special . I am just taking a few beers with My Self". Surrealistic ,no !
"Sultans of Swing" is simply one of the best songs ever. A Masterpiece. "A song that makes a novice to start and a pro to stop playing guitar" (mérci B.Eyyuboglu). Thanks a ton, Straits!
Massive skills required to play them but they’re blues chords. The original guitarists all learnt from the same dudes like BB King or Mark or Van Halen (next generations). The chords harmonise easily with the backing track. It’s like mixing key and beatmatched music as a club dj (it will sound good) but much more skill.
How are there over 800 thumbs down? This guy is incredibly talented. He captured the tone and technique of each guitarist. Brian May’s was most convincing. Very well done!
What a great idea. Shows that a really great solo can be a stand alone piece. The way some of these fit like they belong is quite an eye opener. Nice work, thank you.
I was actually searching on RUclips if someone had created a mashup of all the riffs in one song this is a pure masterpiece!!!! great job using Dire Straits theme. perfect blend between all songs ☺️
This is impressive on so many levels! The ability to make a cohesive song as though they were all playing it at a tribute concert is amazing. And you nailed each style perfectly. Fantastic!!
Good to hear you back, but if it's cool I'd like to make some suggestion for guys in the future: - George Harrison (The Beatles) - Chuck Berry (RIP) - Keith Richards/Ronnie Wood (The Rolling Stones) - Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead) - Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day) - Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) - Jack White - Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath) - Larry Lalonde (Primus) - Alex Lifeson (Rush) - Tom DeLonge (blink-182) - Frank Iero/Ray Toro (My Chemical Romance)
Well said. It's like having a friend who works and works and works for YEARS to build a big house (with no help from you) and then when it's finished, works and works and works to put together a huge housewarming dinner party with a HUGE spread of food for all of his friends, and you show up and say, "what, no Coors Light"? C'mon folks, this guy is giving you the PRIVELEGE of listening to the fruits of YEARS of HIS HARD WORK; enjoy it for what it is. Do not complain for what it is not.
I love these videos. So interesting to think of these seminal tracks being defined by their distinct guitarists, and yet the song gets defined differently when you insert another unique guitarist. It makes sense in theory, but seeing it played out really reveals the distinction.
Great stuff really like how you actually manage to make everything blend together without the sound collapsing and making it sound like two things are being played rather then one.
I'm impressed how You've played "Hotel California" solos over "Sultans of swing" riffs, excellent musical hearing. I have good one, but this one is outstanding :)
Thoroughly Enjoyable, first time I've seen something like this like a mashup but much better, I am saving this video to my Pinterest so my followers and people who save my pins can see your video and watch, Cheers Aaron
Dire straits meets mark knopfler... of dire straits. Mind blown
At least the solo part fits the song. p
Plus, I see what you did there; funny because Mark Knopfler is from Dire Straits.
INDEED
@@luislopez3726 you had to ruin the joke, huh?
@@souryadiptadasgupta5974 what? No!!

? Eh ? First sentence was in English. The quote wasn't.
Hmmm, making a pro to stop playing? Why's that 🤔
Flipping marvelous how he combines all those different lead breaks in the same song. That takes real talent and an ear for music.

I was hoping for Dire Straits song in 12 different styles, not 12 different solos with Dire Straits backing track. Impressive guitar play tho!
Me too
Tin Talijan Not as catchy as a title
Same
Do yngwie malmsteen!
You should’ve read the title then…
The time invested in this was huge. Much respect to the amount of practice and theory this young man already has. Wow.

I never thought I'd hear those hotel California solos on top of dire straits . Amazing !
All the clowns says "you should've rather done...."

I dig the Lady Writer solo over the sultans backing track for marks part. Super sick
I missed you man
Out of all these the Brian may one by far my favorite , incredible skill to replicate his style and apply it so seamlessly
Great stuff really like how you actually manage to make everything blend together without the sound collapsing and making it sound like two things are being played rather then one.
Finally you're back
Really well done. You made an art out of this sir
