I am in a horrific drought in SE PA. We got .50 inches of rain last week. That was the first measurable rain since August. Where I am, we all have well water and wonder how long it will last. Give us your thoughts and prayers which are needed now.
I am a retired truck driver, living in South East Kansas 60 miles from Tulsa OK, 60 miles from Joplin MO. The weather patter ( for the moment) is kind to my area. I spent 30 years in the Rockies and Blues, crossing all winter long. I like snow but not while going across the mountains in my my big truck.
Weathermen in MO are getting so excited about this cold snap. Being from Buffalo, NY that’s everyday winter. I have noticed that since 2005 Lake Erie doesn’t freeze like it used to. So that causes havoc from the Lake Effect snow machine.
Even Florida is forecasted to go below freezing a few times next week, it's been warm for a lot longer than usual and now everything's turned over. The first true winter in years is about to make its entrance.
I went ahead and checked the 15 day forecast in AccuWeather and it just about mirrors the European model for the weekend of the eighth and ninth of December for CENTRAL MA
Quit cutting off the U.P. of Michigan and northern Wisconsin when doing total snow fall (at about 19 min.) We are a big snowmobile area with a thousand miles of trails.
I'll believe that colder air when I see it after the first week of December. Still tons of mild air in the west that could easily move eastward, or a chinook downslope warming for parts of the Great Plains and Midwest.
@@hellochgowo I said AFTER the first week of December. The first week of December is certainly cold. Learn how to read the details of what people are writing.
In Maryland because we have had no snow pack for several years we are in drought conditions. Last week we had a burn ban and it only ended because we got rain at the end of the week. Still no snow.
Which is better? Accuweather or the weather channel? Each are giving me slightly different forecasts for St Louis for this coming Saturday. The temperature will be cold but each say something different for precipitation.
Hope you get it. Used to live in Hunterdon County further north many decades ago. In NE VT where if you like snow we get plenty here along with very cold weather.
These models mean nothing to those of us who love in the Great Lakes snow band /lake effect zones. Why? Bc we get overnight snowfall in feet and it doesn’t make the local paper much less a metro rag.

is weather forecast even possible 2 weeks in advance? If this future telling predictive forecast is possible, what is the % of is being accurate? I'm not trying to be a pain in the ass. I'm really curious. I like these forecast. I'm a New England skier waiting for snow storms. Should I be excited or just optimistic?
Odds go down obviously versus the short range, but we’ve been able to predict quite a few patterns / storms this year 1 to 2 weeks out. Including the one we’re in. Always important to remember my style is going over all the possibilities and just being transparent about all model guidance in the long range to bring the raw information to the viewers.
Also I feel like it’s important to add that it almost never looks exactly the same as the models show in the 2 week range, especially the finer details like exact locations or exact timing, but it gives us really good glimpses into what the pattern could look like and potential patterns that support storms.
I remember the blizzard of 1919 on Thanksgiving Day. We got 7 feet of snow in Boston and had to cancel Black Friday. I was just a lad. So might be the hammer, or maybe just some flurries, eh. Perhaps don’t do a video until you know, BS is BS…
And their friend males that know where he went... or not. Lol. But it takes so long to trudge put there to help get the bear trap off them, easier just to let them deal with that.. yuh Know Ehhy lol.
I enjoy your videos but when you say feet of snow it’s really disingenuous. Yes, maybe lake effect snow. But the storm you’re speaking about isn’t going to produce that.
Michigan might have a normal winter finally 😁👍👍
It’s been so warm in southern New Hampshire, I’m from Florida and this is my first winter up north and first time I’ll see snow, if it ever comes😩😩 😊
Oh it's coming

I think this artic blast coming in the first week of December is going to be similar to the cold setup we had on December 21-25th of 2022.
That arctic blast that hit Pennsylvania, was just like in Alaska tho

Been expecting this after all of the "Mild Winters". Guessing that 2025/26 winter will be equally brutal as well.
I bet it warms up mid to late December. Probably stay that way the rest of the winter.

I wish the same for south western PA. I miss having feet of snow at a time 😭.

Where in da hell is ENC, and what in da hell are "bread and milk scares"? We are in SE PA and have NO knowledge of this "stuff".
Probably eastern NC. If there is even a threat of snow they all get ready to make milk sandwiches and clean out the stores.
