Any one that has ridden along the 105 in Tak province must have stopped and looked in awe at the beautiful scene across the river in Myanmar.
Recently on a 5 day off-road trip in the area. Took a rest day and hired a boat to take us up the river and visit a spectacular waterfall on the rivers edge in Karen state Myanmar.

Allowed a walk around and shared a beer with the owner of the big house with a view.
The Border Patrol Police said this is fine, just don't go further in to Myanmar and not allowed to get off the boat at the village opposite Mae Tawo Pier.
The area is safe from Myanmar Junta activities.
Just speak to the boat men and let the Border Patrol Police know what you are doing before heading off.
