I think people who don’t agree with Jenny on this is because they don’t like her but Jenny had every right to take back her dress that Elenor was profiting from.
Eleanor is in the fashion industry for decades, where's her professionalism? She's stealing from a teenage school girl. How pathetic is that? Instead of furthering her talent and skills, she rips her off. Jenny could have brought Waldorf Designs to the next level.
I was really rooting for Jenny here. Good for her. Even real life jobs as an intern we take so much *%## instead of standing up for ourselves. I couldn’t do it when I was Jenny’s age but now I can.
Jenny made a lot of questionable decisions throughout the series, but it's pretty understandable for someone who so desperately wants to be where she thinks she deserves to be. It's easy to make mistakes when you are already ruthless & have no one to guide you or keep you in check. I feel for her & especially in this scene.
Gotta agree With u, i love the whole cast but Serena in season 5 was acting all nasty, i just watched the ep where Lily put carol behind bars and when lola asked for her help, S basically just told her she didnt want to do anything with her, and before when Lola was threateaning Serenas status as the "It girl" serena made a blast about her and ruined Lolas auditio to some crap, so yeah my beloved S was definitely no angel some times
Well jenny hates the fact that shes a child. In season 1 she was constantly looked as unexperienced and was always treated as if shes childish and immature(which she was) . Thats why shes called little J
the entire series jenny was just taken advantage of by everyone... then people wonder why she didn't care for most of them by season 3... by season 3 she only really cared about Nate, Dan, and Eric when he wasn't trying to sabotage her.
They just fan about blair and serena, that's why, if they would think about it for a moment, they would understood that Jenny was most realastic character
@@TVDUG that's a wide generalization. And realistic characters aren't always good characters. People always hate the bratty teen who disrespects her father who loved and sacrificed everything for her even though alot of teens are like that.
Little j leaving Waldorf designs? Carful little j, might not get another opportunity like this. You should know, Waldorf women are not to be messed with. Xoxo gossip girl.
Interesting- I share most of the most common reaction- her work, her property. I guess it varies by industry, but a certain amount of superior taking credit for junior's work has been standard so long that it's a shock for people who come up that way to not get to do it in their turn. OTOH, maybe it was always a shock for every generation of newbies. Plus it's worse when it's a personal superior not just an organization, in a trade that builds on personal names, reputations, and talent. We're all still used to employer organizations owning our output- e.g. universities owning most of faculty's inventions.
Actually, legally there such thing as “work for hire” anything completed as a work for hire is not your property but the property of the company. If she made that dress on the premises or using their materials, it’s legally theirs and not jenny’s
@@nameisamine The thing is, Jenny wasn't hired to design clothes for the company, she was hired to hem clothes as an intern. What Eleanor did is an easy way for anyone to get Blacklisted from the Fashion Industry if they did the same thing in real-life. Artists don't take kindly to stealing.
I know it's a movie and well yeah "know when to get out" but Jenny has money anyway. It doesn't go that way for most people. Most people just suck it up in order to pay rent and other bills, until they have actually found another job. And yes, I know it's a movie!
To be honest that green dress was horrible. I don’t know why they kept pushing the idea that Jenny was a great designer as most of her designs were hideous
I think both Eleanor and Jenny were wrong in this situation. Eleanor was wrong because she was using a minor to do her work and passing it off as her own but promising her that she would be able to meet the clients with her which is a lie. And Jenny was wrong because she started to think that she was an adult and she wasn't. She lied to her father and went behind his back multiple times and then she got pissed off when he grounded her because she was lying and trying to act like she knew everything and she didn't. I'm happy that Jenny left at the end of the third season because she truly needed to get away from the Upper East Side it clearly wasn't good for her to be there especially since she was so easily influenced by everything around her.
I'm reading these comments and laughing at the entitlement and lack of professionalism being praised here. People obviously don't know what it means to work for a designer 😂 nor do they understand that when you have a job you have to work the job. No wonder the world is such a mess.
@David Do you think Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo, Vivienne Westwood, and all the other established design houses have only the named designer on staff? It's an honour to get to work with a name, and they absolutely have every right to "steal" your designs. When and if ever you're ready, you have the option to leave and start your own fashion house ... where you too will hire designers who design for you. That's actually how it works in the real world. Lil J was way out of line.
You'd love the Malthus family then. Bunch of rich bitches who exploit anyone who threatens their darling widdle angel's position. God forbid if your a poor working class girl, then you're really in for it.
Yeah but the work culture in America is weird. Any extra hours you put in should be you know extra. She was expected to work into the evening. And shes "a child". Taking a view pigtures isnt proof she stayed in that bar for hours could have been half an hour before starting on work.
Si es su vestido, pero tenía responsabilidades y no las cumplió. En cualquier trabajo tú no haces tu trabajo como corresponde y te despiden así de simple
Yeah but Eleonore is a trashy boss. Wanting to fire her employes because they have different opinion?(aka when Jenny said her dress looked old fashioned)? I mean, the most successful people take feedback and implement it, instead of firing people 😝

Interns are always abused
Ikr! Like why don’t they hate Serena’s little brother whatever his stupid name is. He’s annoying.
I hate Jenny but I agree with you

It was wrong for Eleanor to take credit for Jenny's work.
Exactly.

Wake up this is the fashion industry, there are so many designers that go uncredited for years while they work their way up.
Lol you would NOT like to work in fashion industry.....

Besides thas not even mentioning the whole im gonna post my best friends dairy online incident at the end of S5
serena was definitely worse
At least Jenny was an interesting character.serena was boring, I liked her more when she was Queen S because at least she showed some personality.
Jenny was never bad, except when she was trying to win Nate.
Honestly, this should've been the moment Jenny said f u to the upper East siders and started finding her own path.
Jenny is in the right here, but why was she offended so much at being called a child? She WAS a child 😂
It's not about being a child; it's about not being respected as a child.
I think it was because when Eleanor called her a child it was use as an insult like in a “stay in your place” way
Well jenny hates the fact that shes a child. In season 1 she was constantly looked as unexperienced and was always treated as if shes childish and immature(which she was) . Thats why shes called little J

Khalyse Tait-jensen In season six finale it was revealed that she’s now working with Blair for wardolf desgins
But Jenny would have never been able to go solo because Eleanor was using her designs. Agnes brought it up in this episode.
23Starcatcher Jenny took back most of her designs plus without Jenny Wardolf Designs would’ve failed.
