    Can’t wait to get mine! I was fixing to add a mid motor car to my three drag cars and this fits perfectly for what I wanted.

    in my case i have a drag slash, i'm not in any competition, i just have the slash to have fun, but if i decide to enter in competition your opinion have value, but for now i'm enjoying the some no pre drag

      To be honest, as long as you enjoy what you have, that is all that matters. For example, I prefer the Drag Slash over the Losi 22s Drag car any day. But some people still love their Losi drag cars. In the end, I am glad you enjoy it and you are into RC.

    Thank you again for taking the time I went with the tekno SCT based off your recommendations and now I'm looking for a drag for racung,, does tekno make something that is as good it is or or even better, just loved they build quality. If they do which one is better?

    • @telecomandorc
      @telecomandorc  2 года назад

      Unfortunatly, Tekno only makes 4wd models and not 2wd. And for drag racing, 4wd converted to 2wd is not allowed. I wish they has a 2wd model, but they specialize in 4wd.

    I've been wondering if I could somehow convert my b4.2 factory team into a drag racer.

    • @telecomandorc
      @telecomandorc  2 года назад

      You could. You just need a longer chassis. I am not sure is one is made though. You may have to make one. NPDC are just buggies with sct length chassis... or actual sct chassis.

    Isn’t the opposing force of the can greater than the force of rotor?
    I have heard of of rear end hop issues on launch with 4-gear transmission cars because the opposite rearward force of the can would drive the rear end down hard, and that it was hard to tune out.

    • @telecomandorc
      @telecomandorc  2 года назад +1

      I think I understand what you mean. As the rotor spins forward in relation to the stator, the stator spins backwards in relation to the rotor. Which drives the weight of force of the stator towards the rear of the chassis putting more torque due to the stator's relatively larger lever arm. The answer is yes. Assuming mid motor. But this is the same effect as a 3 gear in the rear motor configuration as the rotor is spinning backwards and the stator is "rotating" forward driving it's weight into the chassis in front of it (behind the diff.).
      I will have to think about it more. It's just that with the new esc options such as the Maclan where one can control the torque this should not be as big of an issue.
      I am curious to see if people having a issue with 4 gear mid motor are running stiff rear and not dialing back the initial torque (throttle input).

    • @pingpong808
      @pingpong808 2 года назад +1

      @@telecomandorc Yes, that is exactly what I was trying to explain, and I would think that the rearward weight transfer and the rise of the chassis working with it amplifies the effect.
      You are correct in that a 3 gear rear motor has the same effect, but I think it is to a much lesser degree, because in this case, this time it has to counteract the forces of the weight transfer and rise of the front of the chassis.
      True that these new esc’s and transmitters with programmable throttle speeds and ramps will help by softening the initial hit. Stiffer rear springs, oil, and/or smaller hole pistons should help tune the “hop” out, as well as more front rake, and less droop.
      Anyways, I’m sure Associated did their homework, and the car is going to be a force to be reckoned with amongst the high dollar cars and chassis conversions. Im also hoping that Associated will have different transmission options for it as well. I can’t wait!

      @@pingpong808 Awesome. Now, I think you have a very good point. Rear 3 gear transmissions have the weight in the rear and help stay stable off power too. Mid is harder to keep stable on low traction in my opinion.
      I think you are on to something. Reason... 1/10 refers to size only... but not the velocity and forces. These tires do not have a proportional compound or "air" pressure nor proportional weight... force has a sqr factor. This being said, the force applied may make the common tires and foams bounce. I say this because the inner and outer sidewalls are different. Plus some tires have stiff sidewalls (like my ProLine Reactions), and my Drag Slash MT have really dense foams.
      I really do think you are on to something.

    • @pingpong808
      @pingpong808 2 года назад +1

      @@telecomandorc Glad you brought up the subject of tires. The tire’s role in this rear end “hop” totally escaped my mind. I guess that’s why you gotta test, test and test.

    • @telecomandorc

      @@pingpong808 On my DR10 my Hoosiers with blue foams out perform the stocks. My Drag Slash MT stocks do better by opening them and cutting a rib off of the foam and glueing them back without that one rib (or ring). I did not like the open cell foams because they break down fast and become inconsistent. But I my try now foam once I get this m version. I like the ProLines because they are flatter on the contact patch, but the side walls are a little stiff. But it may work with this car. I could turn this DR10m into my stock 13.5T car. We'll see when it comes in.

    thanks for the video. question do you know if a castle creations mamba monster x 8s esc will fit in that new chassis?

    • @telecomandorc
      @telecomandorc  2 года назад

      You would have to fit that esc acros the top chassis member. It does not fit inside. the gap is about 42mm. You would just have to mount it higher up.
