This was a great video. Easy to follow and precise. I followed your video and did this in about 45 minutes. You saved me a couple of hours of trial and error and messing something up. Thank you so much for taking the time to post this.
I studied the video over and over until I fixed it in my mind that doing this job will be as easy as it looked online. Well I purchased the headlights from 1AAuto, and I started dismantling and then installation the headlights this morning about 10:30 am, and finished about 2 pm. Took me longer than expected, because I had to deal with missing and broken rivets etc. But now it is finished and it looks great, and not just great, now we can see at night. Before the new installation, seeing at night was hit or miss.. Thanks 1AAuto.
Thank you VERY much. People like you represent the Positive the internet has to offer!! It's safe to say I would not have attempted this had I not seen this video. I just completed the installation of a couple aftermarket headlight assemblies on my 2000 van. Took me about 45 min I would say because I had to fiddle a little bit lining up the 2 bolts underneath the headlights. I would also re-emphasize what you said in your video-one does NOT need a lift to do this- the clips and bolts are easily reachable for a 50+ guy on his back in the driveway. I confess I did not purchase the headlights I just installed from you, but will definitely shop you for parts in the future as I've benefited and saved labor $ from a couple of your videos..
Thank you so much for these great directions. I was able to do the replacement job on my own Odyssey with this demo when I never would have been able to do it without it. Thanks.
I watched the video twice, went to the garage and replaced the bulb in under 5 minutes. Most of my 5 minutes was spent putting that darn clip back on that holds the lightbulb in place :-) Excellent video.
Thank you so much, I was determined to change my light bulbs by myself instead of paying someone to do it. I didnt want to ask my stepdad either. You have made it so easy and sinple for me. I am so proud of myself, especially bieng a young woman

Thank you so much for this video! It took me only 5 minutes to change the headlight bulb in my Odyssey thanks to you. Also, I have a 2004 Odyssey and everything was exactly the way you demonstrated in your video.
Hello, I just wanted to thank you for this very detailed video. I was able to follow your directions and replace both headlight assemblies myself!! They look so nice now! Thank you very much for taking the time to produce such an informative video for DIYers like myself. You empowered me to do this!
Park your vehicle on a flat surface 20 feet from a wall. Measure the distance from the ground to the headlight bulb. The center of the high beam concentration on the wall should be at the same level as bulb and the center of the low beam concentration on the wall should be about an inch lower than the height of the bulb. The beams should point straight ahead.
Just picked up a 2002 Odyssey and luckily, has only a few areas that I need to repair. The thought of taking off the bumper just to replace the headlight would seem to take up half a day but as you show, it's really simple and no knuckle busters. I'll probably be visiting your sites more often.
+thetexanfan We're glad we could show you how simple it is! Yeah, check out our website and like us on facebook at facebook.com/1aauto :) Thanks for watching. WOW. I followed your instructions and it was spot on. THANKS SO FREAKING MUCH. Luckily, all I had to do was the the bulb. Thow whole light assembly seems like some work. ^_^
Nice video, looks relatively easy. Just clips and bolts to remove. By the way, shouldn't the title include 2004 model yr? Also I've been on the 1AAuto site but can't find the full length videos. ??

WOW. Seems like a big job just to replace headlights. May as well replace the radiator too while I'm at it! LOL. Otherwise great videos. Always very thorough!
Excellent detail in the video. Is it necessary to remove the bumper cover if you are changing the turn signal? It seems pretty labor intensive for what should be a routine bulb change!
no. just need to pull some of the button style push retainer clips in the inner fender splash guard to access back of headlamp and signal housing assy where these bulbs sockets plugs are. i just replaced signal bulb on 04 odyssey out here, and just pulled splash guard out of way enoguh to access the bulb socket. not a big deal really. on the ground without pulling tire wheel off either. just turn wheel all way,, full travel stop, towards the side you are replacing/accessing
Thank you for watching. Unfortunately we do not have a video for your application. We will keep this repair in mind for future videos. Very good. Made it. But changing the bulb on an 18 year old Odyssey isn't as easy as that nice new one. Had to use a screwdriver to get the dust cover off. The bulb didn't seat right at first, and couldn't get the clip on. Finally seated it, and the clip did go on. Getting the dust cover on was also a pain. Couldn't get it on correctly on the side I couldn't see. 5 minutes later it was sort of on, but couldn't attach the wiring clip. Feeling, couldn't feel the 3 prongs - the dust cover caught on one of them. Go that fixed, and then the the clip attached to the prongs. Tried high and low beams and both worked. At last. Not going to do the other until it absolutely needs it. No, I won't forget how!!

Great tip on using flat blade screwdriver to pry open lower brake light lens. Thanks!

On the corner marker lights remove some of the splash guard holding clips and you can reach the light

can you adjust the aim of the headlights on this style odyssey?
+healthyamerican There should be adjusting screws on the back of the headlight assembly. 1aauto.com
Thanks. Will do!
Do you have to aim the new head lights after replacing? Or are they already set to factory specs?
not if you dont change or adjust the aiming screw.
That's great ,
And more to it than i thought ,lol
Than i hoped ..
thanks 1A auto!
What's that metal part under the head light that the bumper snaps to
This video is going to be the closest thing to your vehicle. The 2004 model year might have a slightly different set up than this.

I first pulled that reservoir bottle out to give my hands some more space. It just slides in and out of place.
That's not a,headlight sir!!,That's called a headlight bulb
