Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway - 'The Cwellyn', 7 locomotives - and a very busy railway!

Late August on the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland railways - featuring 'The Cwellyn', seven locomotives and a range of services on the 30th and 31st of the month. Locomotives Lyd, Blanche and Welsh Pony, two Garratts (130 and 143) and both Double Fairlies. Locations chosen from Penrhyndeudraeth, Gwyndy Bank, Boston Lodge, Harbour Station, Pont Croesor, Nantmor, Rhyd Ddu, Snowdon Ranger and Waunfawr. As usual, a very special atmosphere - with busy trains, good sounds and a very positive 'vibe' to the area - lots of people, efficient train operation, colourful landscape - a very uplifting scene with railways, landscape and visitors all appearing quite harmonious!

Dave, I must complain that I no longer watch my DVDs of the railway because of you. Your choice of locations, sound and landscape scenes are superb.
I know that Penrhyn Crossing is a popular location, but it is timeless and reflects the history of the line. Thank you for sharing and I will be there in 12 days time. Can not wait.

I'm quite happy to have complaints like that! And thank you for the compliments.... I probably have the same issue as you with DVDs and old VHS videos. I'm currently enjoying the splendid sounds and sights of Black Fives on the Mallaig line, hopefully an uploaded video by the 26th
