Thanks to jreg I've begun my trans maxing journey from male to MALE I am now 7 foot tall and am 250 pounds of muscle. People are terrified of me, which is good because that's how I feel on the inside about myself, so it's very validating for me

Absolutelly. I already watched jreg before and already had severe mental illnesses, but as they worsen i understand more and more him, sometimes ironically, sometimes not.. really a crazy thing...
Also, I wanna echo what Jreg said about the interview style -- it's cool. My journalism buddy says that's a technique where the person feels inclined to say more. I notice that while watching and it definitely seemed to encourage Jreg to peel back the layers of irony.
At the beginning of the interview, jReg jokes that his real name is "Anthony". In his "My Secret To Productivity" video, towards the end, he says he's a PhD and shows a jpeg of "Anthony Guevara" having a degree in "Mental Healthism". So, maybe there's some long running meta-joke shit going on (or maybe that's actually his name?)
I liked this interview. You rolled with the punches really well and just like Jr. Eg said at the end, you handle silences very comfortably and natrually! Subscribed
My mental state has been so shit because of all the noise for a few days. This video really helped me calm myself, a great reminder that nobody really understands mental health issues yet, and that I should not be hard on myself for behaving / thinking whatever I am. Thanks
just so you know it is entirely possible to reshape not only the structure of your internal dialogue but also the content, messaging, connotations and feeling of it. If you like yours, keep it, but if it's negative (and you dislike that), messy, critical, lacking focus or otherwise dissatisfying it absolutely is possible to change it. You wouldn't consider your bicep to be an intrinsic part of yourself, you'd consider it to be a muscle which grows or shrinks reflective of how you use it and your lifestyle. Your mind is the same. It's not easy at all though. Just wanted to say that because a lot of people don't realize there's a complete disconnect between you and your thoughts,
you're so right! I meant this more as a semi-joke; however, your comment has really made me reflect on the whole concept of internal dialogue and the mind :) thank you!@@TheInfectous
I am a chronic jregger and have never seen your channel but I really enjoy the way you have engaged with him here. The only way to counteract a person so heavily entrenched in self awareness to the point of inhibiting all action (much like myself) is to be straightforward and earnest

Not watched you before, got recommended, but this is a.. wild interview. Mad respect to you, Serene, it's very hard for me to see how genuine Jreg is or isn't being from moment to moment, he obviously just.. says a lot of things, but you really handle it calmly, respectfully, and with joy :) You manage to relate to him where I'm not sure I'd make any headway. Makes for a fun dynamic for an interview too, even if I'm not sure what to think at any given second.
You were able to ask the questions that I could not think of that one time I talked to him last year. You hit so many things that I really wanted to ask. Thanks!

Since y'all told me to go transmaxxing, I'll share my experience. Personally, whenever I realize I'm attracted to something in a man, I also realize that I got no rizz, and am hella shy and awkward. So then I try to teach myself those attractive traits. Same thing goes for when I think another woman is better at being a woman than me. Thing is, though, maxing yourself doesn't replace relationships. Even if you don't need no man, you're still going to feel like your efforts are kind of purposeless if you're not sharing the outcome with anyone else
this kinds plays into how men and women are just sorta constructs we percive. You see no reason why someone of a different construct should not be studied from. And others would argue men are men and women are women and thats not a construct and I'd tell you to like, uh this is youtube im not gonna say that, but your wrong they're what you percive them as. I have normal political opinions like: we should abolish peer review from the scientific process, or secularism should be abolished (im an atheist btw), or we should use industrial policy to gradually move away from animal agriculture through what one might call a "vegan new deal."
