- What should you do if your Pinterest account gets marked as spam on Pinterest?
My Pinterest account got marked as spam, and it really hurt my account. So in today's video, I'm going to be talking about how to help you prevent getting marked as spam on Pinterest.
I'm going to show you my stats when I got marked as spam, what they are looking like now that my account is recovering, all the way down to what you should email Pinterest if you think your account has been wrongfully marked as spam on Pinterest too!

Also, looking forward to seeing and hearing more about your pinterest course. I do nothing with pinterest. I setup an account, tried making pens, but I am not good at Canva.
I'm sure I have a lot to learn and that I am currently leaving money on the table.
Pinterest is my favorite platform to use! Canva can be hard to use at first, but it gets easier!
what the hell is happening to social media? its litterraly stressfull to use nowadays you can get suspended without reason!
Sadly yes, it's not really a total "suspension" since you can still post, but your pins just won't be pushed out to many people! It's still pretty stressful though
@@SarahMarieBlog i have been totallty canceled on pinterest without explanation...i used photos from amazon and another website, put my affiliate links to promote some products thats all...is it against their policy??
@@Taniattraction Yes it is. You can't use Amazon photos on Pinterest, and you also can't link Amazon products directly on Pinterest either. That's something that Amazon doesn't allow!
@@SarahMarieBlog you mean pinterest doesnt allow it. So even of i use my own photos i cant link products with my affilliate link?:(
@@Taniattraction No, I mean Amazon doesn't allow it. Amazon doesn't allow you to link your affiliate links directly to Pinterest. If you want to link to Amazon, you need to create a blog post with your affiliate links and then link the blog post to Pinterest.
Even if you use your own photos Amazon doesn't allow affiliate marketing directly to Pinterest. I'm not sure what Pinterest banned you for, but that is an Amazon affiliate policy!

My pinterest account has been suspended for no reason it's been 3 days I sent them like 5 emails but they haven't replied I was wondering if you knew why pinterest sometimes won't respond.
they are usually slow to respond so that's not very surprising

I have a question, I write a blog post once a week and create 2 pins daily (12 hrs apart) for the rest of the week with the same link, slightly different design, different title (every 3 days I use a different title), and I change the description every 3 days too...would that be a problem?? I JUST started on pinterest so I don't have much data.
(By the way your pinterest content was REALLY helpful for me, I learned so much)
I wouldn't pin only the same link for the entire week. That sound like you will eventually get marked as spam.
As I mentioned in the video, if you're a new account and don't have a lot of content I'd pin less and repin other people content more. Or, if you do have a good amount of content, prioritize new content still, but also mix in older content and other links just to be safe!

My pinterest account got banned I was only doing Amazon affiliate marketing there I was putting Amazon affiliate links there and images. They still banned my pinterest account can u tell me the exact way to put Amazon affiliate links on Pinterest
You cannot link directly to Amazon from Pinterest. You would need to have a page in between the product. So for example, a site or blog linking the product from Amazon.
So a pin that leads to your site showcasing the product that then leads to Amazon would work

Hi Sarah, I recently found your channel and appreciate your honesty and tips. Thank you for sharing your experience. However from your videos, I do not think you have done anything wrong. Is it possible you may have been doxxed? Coz this kinda thing did happen to other RUclipsrs when they are vocal about certain company products. Would it be possible if they will send like people to go and mark pins as spam or repeatedly report pins till Pinterest's spam filter got activated. I really dunno and always wondered what happen if our pins kept getting reported? I know in RUclips, some will send lots of people to massively dislike a creator's videos to hopefully sabotaj the channel. RUclips has the technology to deal with this and saw thru such practice, hence they removed the dislike counts in videos now. But Pinterest? I dunno if they can detect if it is due to act of malice or genuine spam.
I guess anything is possible, but I usually always speak pretty highly of Pinterest. I can't imagine something like that happening. I think it may just be the case of their spam filters are seriously broken and need to be worked on! I know a few really good bloggers who teach on Pinterest and know what they are doing that have gotten caught in it as well, so it happens!
@@SarahMarieBlog heehee, the company I mentioned is definitely not Pinterest. Pinterest is legit and I am sure in no time their technology would overcome any limitation or anyone that is trying to game their system.

I have a new account with about 170 pins that was just suddenly deactivated today. I clicked one of my pins to see if a product tagged on it was being displayed correctly, and I was logged out of the account. I tried to log back in and it said my account was deactivated. I looked in the email for the account and it said the account was deactivated due to what appeared to be spam on the account. I have no idea what triggered this.
I would try maybe contacting support for more answers. Sometimes things happen accidentally so maybe they would be able to help? good luck!
My account got suspended 2 days ago and they sent me an email saying they weren't able to confirm I was old enough to use Pinterest, even tho I remember confirming my age back then. I've sent then over 7 messages, but they always reply with the same canned message, or if that's what it's called. It says that I should see an email in my inbox with a link to an appeal of ny suspension, but I haven't gotten any. Any ideas?
Other than trying to find another way to contact them, I'm not really sure what to do!

Oh no! Hopefully if you were marked as spam, you can get ahold of Pinterest and get it fixed! It took my account a little bit to start seeing good results again, but I noticed a small difference almost right away after emailing them.

Wait so with your roughly 100k monthy view how many outbound clicks do you normally get a month when you're not marked as spam?
It's honestly hard to say because it varies from month to month and I generally focus on my blog traffic as a whole, not just what comes directly from Pinterest
Hi, quick question, what can I do to get my account back if it was suspended due to a mistake in giving my age? For example, the age to use pinterest is 16+ but you wrote 14. What can I do? Is it still possible to get it back?
I have no idea. I guess the best thing I could say would be to contact Pinterest and ask them. But there might not be anything you can do and you may have to just start a new account

I have never used ads on Pinterest so this is something I would recommend contacting them about!
When i try commenting it spams some message that i cant comment bc of suspicious activity

I am new and trying to create new pins. I did three without a problem. When I went to post the fourth one, it keeps telling me to add a destination link. I have read that you don't have to add one, but it won't let me publish my pin without adding one in. Do you know how to get around this issue? I don't have a website to link at the moment seeing as how I am just starting out.
As far as I know, you don't need a destination link to post pins. Maybe it glitched so try reloading?
But, if you dont have a site or a destination to send to people, unless you're posting cute pins for fun, it's pretty pointless to start posting now anyway!

I created a business account for a website like 3 months ago. I remember created like 100 pins in a day and added links to e-commerce site but created special image format ( 1.5 ratio so website is 1:1 ratio actually ) different from the website Every image (pin) had a link to a product page and the pins all had titles and different descriptions. After 2-3 months today I added 8 pins. 2 pins had the same website link with different title but description were the same for all of them. I created the last pin 8th one and could not login. :) The links were ETSY links for these groups. Normally I add links to my website. I do not know the reason. That is weird.
I don't know why you wouldn't be able to log in to your account!
@@SarahMarieBlog The business account was suspended. Now I can login. I messaged as you said and one day later they opened. Normally I use one pin for a link to my website but for etsy sets there were like 8 models so I had to divide it because pinterest suggests 1:1.5 ratio and all models did not fit so I had to create another photoshop template. I used 2 pins for one product page so 2 different images with the same title with /A and /B at the end and the links were the same. I guess because of the same links to ETSY product page, it is filtered as spam.

How can I promote amazon products on pinterest... Without suspension
You have to create a blog post with the Amazon links in them and then link to the blog post from there. That's the only way I know how to do it!
What is the email of pinterest. I couldn't find it.

Its not an email exactly, its a form you'll need to fill out and send

@@kunalrana4992 I didn't email them from an email address to start with. You have to fill out the form that I linked above to get an email thread started with them. The form will send them an email for you, and they will contact you from there.
