- Today is the 10th anniversary of Roy Halladay’s perfect game in Miami (May 29, 2010) so here is every out from his outing that day, including 11 strikeouts.

This day is forever embedded in my memory. The Flyers were also in the Stanley Cup Finals this year, and Game 1 was being played at the same time as this Phillies game. The Flyers and Blackhawks were lighting it up, pretty much going goal for goal..(game ended with a score of 6-5 in favor of Chicago)....My buddy and I were flipping back and forth between the two games until about the 6th inning, when we fully realized what was happening....so we had a decision to make.....and we chose Doc, and I am so glad we did. One of the most intense sports nights of my life, and like I said at the beginning....I will NEVER FORGET IT. Rest easy Doc, we love ya buddy!! 34.
Also, I have to say....Tom McCarthy, the announcer for the Phillies should be ashamed of himself. You're a baseball guy who is around the game all season long, and you speak on what's happening?? The words "no hitter" and especially the words "perfect game" should never, and I mean NEVERRRRR be spoken out loud until the game is over!!! What a mush this guy is....they even put a graphic up in the 8th!!?!?!? What a bunch of goofs man...

@@PattyBandAidz yeah, especially considering Halladay lost his first no-hitter at the blue jays with the very last pitch. It's not over till it's over. I guess some people don't believe in jinxes, but still. You just don't do it.
@@duffman18 That's right, and do you know who hit that ball? Bobby Higginson (who is from my neighborhood in Philly) and it was a solo homer. Go figure.

As a blue jays fan, it was always a treat to watch Roy take the mound. His untimely death really upset me. Just so tragic and unnecessary

Shows you that there’s a lot of luck that goes with the pure skill in a perfecto. Couple of borderline pay off pitches that could have easily been called balls by some umps.
I think he was actually more dominant in the playoff no-hitter against the Reds. The Marlins got a little unlucky in this one; the Reds in that game seemed totally hopeless and out of sorts
