You might have something wrong on the first menu. Basically with duration. Check whether you have selected to export the whole animation or just a certain time/scene or something shorter.
The same thing happened to me and I haven't figured it out yet either but a way I found to make it easier: put it in premiere pro and put the audio with it
I exported my animation, and even though I set it in 1080p, it exported in 240p and had a black border around the stage (Edit: I exported it in a MPEG4 format, if that helps)

Did you try selecting "match source - high bitrate" instead of a "1080" preset? Once you do that, then click on the "match source - high bitrate" link (in blue) to verify the dimensions under the summary section. Let me know if that works? (sorry for the late reply)

Media Encoder is an adobe product that you need get with Creative Cloud. I have another video that explains how to export from animate if you don't have encoder...ruclips.net/video/1tPatNtzx-o/видео.html
It is another program that you can get from Adobe Creative Cloud. It is needed in order to export a video from Animate. You can also export this way ruclips.net/video/1tPatNtzx-o/видео.html but will need Photoshop or Premiere Pro as well.

when i exported a adobe animate video the video doesnt work
but when i upload it into some social media like game jolt the video works
why does when i test run it is smooth, but when i export it become laggy as hell, using 30fps for 4 sec animation

Why is my video in poor quality when exporting it?

Make sure export quality is 1080p or 4k for .mp4. Use Quicktime/.Mov for better quality. Is this what you did?

Exported Quicktime movie is not compatible to quicktime ! Useless programm. Export Mp4 not working because mediaEncoder not valid.
when i export it gets faster and audio is delayed
What fps is your timeline? Sometimes that can happen if timeline is 24 and music/audio is 30 for example.

but when i export it the video gets to 30 fps but audio stays same
