A game changing product (high end) is the Verb curl foaming gel. A gel, cream mix in one styling product. Btw, your complexion looks amazing! Congrats on getting through the Accutane tretment/ process! I know from personal experience, (I had literally every side effect🤦♀) that was tough to go through! Soooo worth it though! The eva nyc salt shampoo 😭😭😭 was literally my favorite for my girl's hair, and I'm pretty sure I had found it because of you. I wish I would have known it would be gone the last time I bought it so I could have bought more.
I have ordered the Maui curl gel from amazon. I can’t wait to try it. I also think that your curls looked really pretty in one of your earlier videos where you used the shea moisture hibiscus and coconut shampoo. The shape of the curls looked different. I wonder if you ever go back to it and use it again.

Is there anyway you could do a styling video on how to get your curls ultra defined and curly like when you were using deva curl, but with curly girl approved products only? I am starting my journey again using the curly girl method and would really like to know what products are your favorite.
Loved this video. I have not tried the Maui gel. Have tried other Maui products on your recommendation. All did well. BTW...your link for the JVN oil is the pre-wash scalp oil. The one you featured was the Oil Shine Drops. I have tried several oils and none of them really impress me. I may have to break down and try this one. Thanks a million for your recommendations. You really rock it, India!
Curl Talk now has a bond builder shampoo, conditioner, and mask. Twist also has a bond mask that's been out for a while.
My hair looks EXACTLY like yours when I let it be free and wild. I'm nearly 26 years old and just now learning how to take care of my hair. I didn't even know I had curly hair until a few years ago. I just thought it was frizzy. Lol. Love your videos and you are so beautiful!

At least you're learning at 26! ❤ I'm just now learning CGM at nearly 41. I was always told to brush it out cuz it was misbehaving, and never could have it real long cuz I wasn't allowed to; was told to cut it. My hair would always be heat resistant especially with the ionic Chi flat irons.🤷🏻♀️ I'm a low maintenance person, but I'm willing to put some effort in to achieve India's hair type results, but also continue to grow my long hair without having to put up with haters anymore. I think the main problem we had back in my younger years, like the 90s, was a lack of product availability. We only knew about LA Looks gel and Rave hairspray when we were on a drugstore budget. I'm so glad we have more options and YT education now, instead of gatekeeping. I barely learned what highlighter was and how to use it a few years ago. Cosmetics have come a long way in the last ten years. Anyway, enjoy your CG journey 🎉

It feels so much like leave in conditioner. Alas, I will try because you are quite convincing. My hair is similar to yours except my hairdresser friend and I were talking a lot and she pruned me to death. 😢. Also, trying the Shea M Leave In Spray. Does it always spray in a thick stream? Seems like I’ll enjoy it better if I thin it out with some water. Advice?

I loveeee the Briogio scalp revival scent! To me it's straight up Junior Mints candy😋Aside from that one, I don't like minty scented products. The Briogio is top notch yummy goodness, a must have❣Oh, and the BREAD oil is awesome and smells like grape, also yummy!
I always need a safe space for my wavy hair girls, I swear I'm always trying to find the best shampoo, products etc, because as a wavy hair community we are literally smack dab in the middle. Lol. It's like the middle child. This is super helpful, tyyyy.

I wash my hair once a week. Like you, I have tons of curly/wavy hair but it’s fine. When water hits it, it immediately mats up. I love it when I find a shampoo that soon as it hits my matted up hair it starts smoothing it out and I can actually get my fingers in my hair to wash it without it being a mess. Any shampoo like this that you love?
I still haven’t tried Maui Moisture! Maybe I need to. 🤔

Hi India! Love your videos. Excited to find your channel because your hair is so much like mine! I too have very dense but fine 2B/2C hair. Lately, I’ve been trying to get away from straightening my hair all the time. I love the LUS step 3 styler for air drying my hair, but it can’t handle the frizz when I diffuse and it often just doesn’t hold all day. I’m looking for a relatively inexpensive gel or mousse that has good hold but isn’t super heavy that I can pair with my LUS styler. Any suggestions?

A Yes! for Shea Moisture Repair Mask! That mask is wonderful. I always have it at home. One thing I learned when using that mask is to apply a conditioner after the treatment. It seals moisture and leaves hair frizz free after the process.

I have naturally blonde hair that's become very dark over the years, so now I highlight it. It's very thick and long and coarse, but very healthy. My dilemma is, my underlayer is a perfect kink/wave/curl, but the top layer is straight! Drives me nuts. Any tips to get the top layer to match the bottom?

Hi India, I started swimming a month ago and swim almost everyday. I pre-soak my hair with fresh water and then I apply some conditioner on wet hair. Then I wear a swim cap before jumping into the pool. I have bought a jojoba oil which I'm planning to layer after applying the conditioner. My question is do I need to shampoo everyday after swimming?? My hair is prone to dryness and I swim in the evening. If I have to shampoo everyday I have to quit swimming altogether.
I have searched high and low for the Maui Moisture coconut curl gel, but I can only ever find the smoothie version in Canada (Canadian webpages, drug stores, etc.) Any fellow Canadians have this problem?
Is going sulfate free necessary for all of us with curly hair? Can we use sulfates once in a while? Are there some okayish sulfate containing shampoos to use? For example, Garnier Fructis Aloe Vera Hair Food shampoo.
Hi India, the shea moisture sugarcane leave in you really like, does it have glycerine as the second ingrediënt or cetearyl alcohol? I see 2 different ingrediënt lists on internet. First one is water and then the second ingrediënt differs (and that's not the only difference but it makes it the easiest for me to know which one you like) I hope you can help me out, so I can decide if I order thesame product! Hi there. You are so cute! I just have a quick couple of questions. I' recently began doing my hair naturally wavy. My hair is very similar to yours. Can you please clarify your day 1 style routine? In some videos, it looks like you use a leave in conditioner/heat protectant spray even though you air dry. Why is that? And in some videos, it looks like you put your curl cream into soaking hair, while other videos show you waiting 15 min before adding the curl cream. And in some videos, you scrunch in your gel, while others look like you use the praying hands distribution for the gel. I love your videos. They are so informative and funny. I just wanted clarification on how to get my hair to look the most like yours using your styling methods.

I don't know what it is about the product, but my curls really hate the JVN Air Dry Cream 😭 I have tried to use it so many times not wanting to give up hope but it just makes my curls extra dry, frizzy, has almost no hold and leaves the ends with a crunchy residue. My hair is very similar to yours so it's just plain confusing that I get this result!
Now you need to rate curly hair shampoo for the fur babies 🤣
I REALLY wish I could find NYM Curl Talk shampoo plus conditioner in stores, but nope, not here. Maybe.... At Ulta? IF.. it's in stock, which my Ulta is out of my way. Anyway, I love the flexible gel from NYM. As for that Maui Flaxseed shampoo plus conditioner, it weighed my hair down, greased it fast, roots flat, and stringiness. I just tried it 4 days ago, after having used the Curl Quench duo for the past 3 months, which worked a LOT better for my hair. It actually cleans my scalp, gives root volume, with proper care, and helps my wavy curls stay clean for like 6 days which is great cuz my hair is pretty long and tangles badly. Always a lot of work on washday. I'm a 2c, love my spiral ringlets, and Flaxseed killed it all. My hair is way too soft for my taste. I have typically high porosity split ends, but I'm not sure if I'm a medium or thick texture. Probably a medium. Nonetheless, I was mortified by the flaxseed results. By the way, unfortunately, that Curl Quench gel is recently discontinued, so we won't get to try it. And I've heard amazing things about it.

I just love the volume in your hair. I always loved Julia Roberts hair in the movie Mystic Pizza and she didn't have these well defined ringlets. Julia had big waves and lots of volume. I've seen other girls like Swavy Curly Courtney apply so much product, use so much technique that her hair to me just looks limp. People in the eighties didn't even use curl cream and I feel like they have become such a hyped up thing, in my opinion. I don't see much of a difference with curl cream and sometimes it just makes my fair feel filmy. Anyways I love that your hair is not always perfectly curled, it's got a temper and that's what wavy/curly hair is, in a nut shell 😄

Not your mother's has a "scalp scrub"shampoo in their curl line that I beleive is better than the normal shampoo. The tip applicator makes it that much better too. Try it.

Nope all these brands and most drugstore brands my are literally horrible for my hair and extra bad for my wallet lol. I've always envied all those who can get away using cheap brands per the savings but my wavy curly hair has always been insanely fussy no matter how healthy and not using heat! 😅
