Initially I thought this one was fantastic. But after seeing reviews, I'm glad I didn't get it. Mcfartlane did a great job for what it is,but... for one it's too big, and what originally stopped me from needing it, is the hard plastic used for the torso. If mcfartlane had used a soft overlay of rubber material to cover up a separation between the upper torso and lower then it would have been a must have despite the enormous scale 😂❤

You not only talk about the good and the bad, but you also offer solutions to those of us that like to finagle with them. Thank you for that. By the way, I got received my Puertorrican cousin SGT Rock and he's way cooler than expected. A little on the big side but cool enough😂🤣😎
You are amazing, Bones! You ALWAYS have the fixes for any problems McFarlane's figures might have. Wish there wasn't still so many problems at this stage of the game though. I'm going to try to get another Darkseid as well, if I can, to display both heads.
Hubbie opened his and articulated it. Thought he broke it when articulating the shoulders haha 🤣 This is a good figure. Love the cape. The blue always looks great. The alternative heads I am sure gets to you because of how you like to pose your figures. Are you getting the WW Jim Lee Statue?

I skipped pre-ordering this figure since I already have a couple of versions. I kinda feel like I should get him to display with my classic Marvel Legends Thanos.
I was curious how you were gonna tackle the arm socket issue, in gonna try heating the socket and squeezing them together before anything drastic, if big bad toy store will ever ship mine! God that dc superheroes darkseid is a great figure... I repurposed mine for the dc icons superman! Oh that's what that gauntlet goes to, I've had that gauntlet, a dc pin and that mother box in a tiny little baggie for years and had no clue what it went to!
@@bonesandthenecrozoo ok just finally got mine in from big bad toy store and after a few days I noticed the medallion on his chest is sitting on top of his chest not sunken in so I popped it off and there's a tiny post on his chest that the medallion plugs onto so I snipped off the post and shaved it down with an exacto knife and adding a teeny teeny amount of shading just to blend a little you can't even tell there was anything there but being careful when shaving the post down extra shading isn't really necessary! And now the cape is optional or replaceable with a better custom cape! The length and shape of the cape was really bugging me but after removing the medallion and cape I'm absolutely loving this figure! Oh and I had to shave a little of the crotch to get the legs to snap past that notch for a straight leg stance, otherwise I couldn't get him any other stance than super spread out!
not so familiar with the different Darkseid versions, only know him from Superman TAS, Harley Quinn and I think he is the main villain in Final Crisis( Haven't read it yet), not sure on this figure but could be nice to take pictures with him and Batman ( Darkfather )and Lex Luthor (Darkseid War Version, is on my list) cosplaying as him
I was happy to get him other than the issues. Before I make a video on my channel I usually open them up to check out but didn’t do that and his arms and one leg popped off so easily. I think this was supposed to be a baf megafigure but that fell through.
Ive thought about just filling up that shoulder hole eith a little bit of hot glue and letting it dry to see if that works, but im not so sure it would be a good idea. Figure just has to heat up a little and suddenly that glues melted and he cant move his shoulders at all.
His beltline is way too Michelin Man. I know he wasn't a skinny character by any means, but it just looks really barell-like to me. Making the belt slightly thinner would help.
I think a lot of people were saying that they reused Mongul's arms not Kalibak's arms and it looks like they were right.
