    This is the first video that was simple with this! Usually it’s a really complicated knot

    Hi! How long do you make the braided parts of the bracelet before actually starting the bracelet?

    • @happykittycraftsandkitchen577
      @happykittycraftsandkitchen577  3 года назад +4

      Hi Emma! thanks for asking this, I usually use my index finger as a reference measurement and make the braids the length of my index finger. But to give you a more accurate measurement, it's about 9 centimeters 😃

    How long were the threads you used to make the entire bracelet?

    • @happykittycraftsandkitchen577
      @happykittycraftsandkitchen577  3 года назад +2

      I usually take one beginning of the thread in my left hand and stretch it out all the way to the length of my right elbow (it may turn out too long, but too long is better than too short) so approximately 60-70 cms each individual thread (24 inches)

      It really depends on how long you want your bracelet to be or how complex it is.

    Hi! I know this is a bit old, but what method did you use to start and end your bracelet? The cords look so nice and neat, unlike regular braids.

    • @happykittycraftsandkitchen577
      @happykittycraftsandkitchen577  3 года назад +3

      Hi! Glad you asked that question, it reminded me that I should do a tutorial with tips on starting and ending bracelets 😁🙏🏽 The method is a classic braid, I had 6 threads, paired them into 2 , 2 and 2 (making 3 strands) and braided. I think the reason it looks neat is because they're all the same color and I tend to braid them very tightly. Hope this answers your question and thanks for the nice comment !

      I used clear nail polish and it worked fine :)

      Yes clear nail polish works too, or any super glue (you can get a bunch of tiny super glues real cheap in most supermarkets), or fabric glue

      @happykittycraftsandkitchen577  3 года назад +1

      Hi! thanks for the comment, this is basically a candystripe bracelet, but all made with one color, each thread measured to about 60-70 cm long or 24-25 inches (ending up with more length is better than ending up too short, so don't be afraid to cut the threads longer a bit)

  • @yasminaama9466
    @yasminaama9466 3 года назад +1

    why do you cut after glueing and not before?

    • @happykittycraftsandkitchen577
      @happykittycraftsandkitchen577  3 года назад

      Good question! I cut after glueing because by that time it’s secured well from the glue and won’t unravel or open up by accident, and also it makes a cleaner look where the threads won’t be frayed and frizzy. Thanks for the Q Yasmin ✌🏼😁🌸

    What kind of glue do you use?

  • @kayafifi3572
    @kayafifi3572 3 года назад

    Hi I think used too much glue and now it all stuck any idea how i can fix it?? Thanks

    • @happykittycraftsandkitchen577
      @happykittycraftsandkitchen577  3 года назад +1

      No worries that happens to me too sometimes and I keep trying to force it loose by wriggling it and pushing it, but if that doesn’t work you may have to try dissolving the glue by using acetone (nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol) on the area you glued

    How many threads did you use?

    • @happykittycraftsandkitchen577
      @happykittycraftsandkitchen577  3 года назад

      For making the actual bracelet I used 5 blue embroidery threads , then for making the adjustable clasp I just used 1 embroidery thread

    The music in the video is really distracting, and the change in volume is extremely jarring.

      Not everyone is perfect at post production and everyone has a learning curve. This comment was unkind considering that I am trying to give out information and teach people hoping for nothing in return than a thank you or a kind word.
      Also, at this point I cannot delete the video and post a better one because this one is doing so well with the views and likes, which gives me the impression that it must be of help to others.
      Thank you for watching and commenting anyway, and we hope you have a great day 🐱
