Yes, agree completely, but I hate that their story took such dark turn. It went from a new love, feel the joy, love does work out wonderfully sometimes... Then (record scratch) it switched to a dark twisted storyline that sends chills up your spine!
Anyone peep how George instantly revictimized JP when he revealed his rape. Instead of saying “survivor” he stripped JPs of his healing by calling him a victim. Oooofff the writing is spot on. I definitely see this being a well thought out SL. Ugh I’m so uncomfortable... Good job 👏🏾
Ugh-we just got rid of Edward and his twisted mind games, and now we have to go through another storyline with twisted mind games with two other characters!!! And they’ve never gotten back to Diane to let us know who’s baby she’s having, but I’m betting it’s Edward’s.

George should get an emmy for that performance he explained to John Paul that he was abused by Dean basically describing himself in disguise. Honestly John Paul is better off with Craig since they're building something between James and Ste.

I liked George a lot better when he first arrived.
After tonight`s episode, I suspected George to, similar to Maxine who were sort of "addicted" to sympathy, care and attention with her Munchausen, it to be the same with George - only with him it is feeling wanted, praised and desired that gives him his kicks. That is, was my guess, why he manipulates JP, and manipulated Dean before that. He is addicted to the feeling of being desired, wanted, praised and more - and just like Maxine lied, invented serious illness and hardship, so people should shower her with sympathy, care and attention, George is manipulating to make himself appear spectacular in one way or the other, whether as a boyfriend, a police officer or as a human. Feeling a constant need for praise and to be desired and wanted. Probably because he has a backstory (childhood?) not remotely like that at all. That is why he lied to Mercedes he had removed the evidence against her from the evidence room last year - cause he wanted the praise and admiration from her, and all the McQueens, for having saved her from being charged and convicted.
But having seen this, that doesn`t make sense at all. Had that been the case, instead of attacking JP for "stealing his limelight," George would have used the opportunity to support and tell JP he was a victim and it wasn`t his fault as an in to get even more praise from JP. The fact he manipulates just to manipulate, and there doesn`t seem to be any additional motives or motivations than to feel superior to JP by confusing him with contradictory manipulations and accusations, makes me change my mind about George. People who need praise and attention as adults, often needs this because they didn`t get much of it growing up. They either have some form of void needing filling emotionally, or some kind of fear which either dictates the manipulations, or the manipulations is used to mask and hide.
George`s need for attention, and fear of being put in the shadows perhaps could be some of the motivations? He coming from a family, unless that too is a lie, of several brothers, it is possible he felt overlooked and pushed aside by one or more - maybe all - of his brothers, and his need for attention and praise as an adult is a substitute for the lack of such as he was growing up? If so violence (since he hit JP - and said that about "that is what boys do" when defending himself after having hit JP) probably is something he was subjected to as a youngster - either from his brother/s or his father, and the excuse he gave to JP is what his abuser/s used to tell him as an excuse when hitting him? It is also likely that George either were more skinny or more fat growing up, and the physique he has acquired himself as an adult is a "protective armor" to shield him from the feelings and fears around abuse he had growing up.
That is possible scenario number 1.
Scenario two is a little more complicated, and quite a bit darker. The foundation for the theory is George`s need for control, and the fact he looks the way he does. That need for control comes from somewhere - or something. In combination with his looks, and the fact he grew up with several brothers, could mean his physical appearance triggered emotions (attractions) in either one of the brothers, or the father, that scared that person, but that he at the same time was not able to rid himself off, and therefore physically abused George for sexual reasons - both because the "that`s what boys do" argument gave him cover for it being punishment or bullying, and because by inflicting cuts and bruisers to George, George became less attractive, and the shameful feelings became easier to suppress. If George`s looks and perhaps even domineer provoked incestuous feelings in either a brother or George`s father, it is no wonder George as an adult feel insecure around gay men, since probably anything from the look in an excited male`s eyes, to physical closeness, triggers memories of the abuse for George. He therefore feels he needs to be the stronger one to dare to venture into a relationship. And by manipulations feels he can control the other in the relationship, cause he through succeeding with his manipulations confirms to himself to be the stronger of the two. When he feels to lose control, he becomes physical and lashes out in a sort of automatic self-defense, thinking he must hit first, otherwise the other will hit him.
LOVE THIS!!!! PC kiss is literally the best boy actor on this, I would love to see more of him 😁🥰

I was in a similar situation but it wasn't about Sexual Abuse. My Half Sister was very angry that she was given up to be raised by My Grandparents. She never knew her Father (A Mysterious One Night Stand) it was the 1960's. She would go on about how "Lucky" I was that "I" was kept and she wasn't and how our Mother never did for her what was done for me. It wasn't until much later did My Mother tell the truth. She was raped and it would have been a major scandal. When she found out she was heartbroken and she realized My Grandparents gave her everything to make up for the guilt they had about how she came into the real world.
I swear I want that John Paul to leave that sorry manipulative half of a man George right now for the sake of it
